After reading some of the comments it all makes sense now. Super condescending customer service, disorganized and unhelpful. I had a misunderstanding when it came to upgrading one of my lines. If a person knew that they had to pay for two separate phones do you think they would agree to that? I called this store to try and see if something could be done or at least meet me half way. The store manger was extremely condescending. Here are some helpful tips for you, Matt. 1. Listen carefully to what the customer has to say, and let them finish. You tried to prove me wrong as I was trying to express my frustrations. 2. Ask questions in a caring and concerned manner. I could feel your condescending tone over the phone. 3. Put yourself in the customers shoes. 4. Apologize without blaming. You kept trying to make me feel like an idiot because of the miscommunication. 5. Ask the customer, "what would be an acceptable solution?" 6. Solve the problem, or find someone who can solve it. You kept saying that their was nothing that could be done. I highly dough that nothing could be done. I have been with Verizon for over 10 years, and until now I have always been a loyal and happy customer. Just because you have possibly been with the company for a while does not mean you deserve to be a store manager. Learn to be able to relate to the customer and try to help them, instead of trying to prove them wrong. read more

I was very wary coming to this store because of the reviews. However, I did not have time to go across town to a store I've been to and had great experiences at. Luckily, I was greeted by Pedro and had the best experience. He was very knowledgeable on products and prices, answered every question I had regarding promos, even did a little extra research for me to confirm. I purchased the iPhone X, he easily transferred every single thing on my old phone to the new one, had me wait and check to be sure everything was accurate, and showed me a few features of the new phone. Pedro and the rest of the store employees were pleasant to chat and joke with to pass the time while my information was being uploaded. Overall, this was a great experience, left the store spending less money than I anticipated, ended up with a phone I really enjoy, and appreciate the level of customer service at this store. I went on my lunch break to get a new phone cause mine was barely usable and they helped me out quickly and did a great job. they even offered to deliver the phone to me at work if we didn't get everything done in time! I bought a new phone. I was told by the sales person it came with a $100 rebate. When the rebate actually came it was only $50. I went back to complain, the sales person no longer was working there.. It feels like i was lied to and ripped off for fifty bucks. and then told "sorry" .. Eric Elam helped me get my service running and when my account showed that I owed more than I really did, he helped me call corporate and get everything sorted out. When my phone got hacked, I brought the phone back and he helped me get a new number and made sure everything was fine. Love this Verizon store!! Terrible customer service and uninformed salespeople: ****Beware of Verizon Go90!**** I was sold a new iPhone and convinced to switch off of my grandfathered in plan. The reason being that I would no longer be occurring the overage charges I typically incur for streaming NBA games over the nba league pass app (which I have a subscription go on both tv and mobile) if I switch to a new more expensive plan. They had told me that through the NBA Go90 app I could watch all NBA league pass games without using data. I confirmed that the new plan fit my budget with the salesman/manager (Chet) multiple times confirming there would be no additional charges or fees needed. Lo and behold I find out that you need to pay an additional subscription fee to NBA league pass in order to watch it through Go90. An additional $100 up front! Luckily a regional manager called me to ask about my recent service. After explaining the situation to her she admitted that they were uninformed on the product and that they had made a mistake and would switch my plan back. If the story stopped here I would be understanding and give them high marks for their honesty. HOWEVER, it has been over a month, with multiple store representatives calling me at different times telling me they were switching my plan back, and my plan has still not changed back. This is the definition of "giving someone the run around". DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE. BEWARE OF GO90 read more

I have had great experiences at this store both with Keren and Gary. A few weeks back I spontaneously bought a Samsung Galaxy S5, my first Smart phone. Fortunately Keren was the clerk who assisted me. Not being familiar with the capabilities I was hesitant to upgrade. She quickly allayed my fears. I felt like someone was listening to me and not just trying to sell a product. Because of her attitude and helpfulness, I feel comfortable going back to the store for follow up questions. One time I came back to the store because I was not able to rearrange my settings "buttons". A Samsung rep happened to be there so the store rep went to ask him. The Samsung rep said the phone did not have that capability. After he left Keren came out and walked over to say "Hi". She asked if there was a problem and I explained it. She looked at my phone and immediately performed the function. Was I impressed! To me, Keren gets an 11 out of 10. Without her, I would've missed out on a great phone. I'd also like to give kudos to another rep, Gary. He has been extremely accommodating on my return visits. He is attentive and I don't feel rushed. He was especially helpful in selecting a case and a glare-free screen protector. He knows his stuff and I couldn't have made that choice on my own. Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the screen protector and brought it back. He took care of the exchange and applying the new protector. I commend him for his courtesy, knowledge and professionalism. The crew in this store is fantastic! After getting no help from my local VZW store about troubles with my new Samsung, I chanced into this 4G store at the R-Street market and was greeted by Chet. Amazing fellow. Understood my problem and took it upon himself to rectify it. Got on the phone with VZW, lotsa back-and-forth, finally arranged replacement phone for me next day delivery, gave me tips on how to transfer data from current-hardly working phone to new one. After I got the new phone and got it up to speed, I had a couple of questions - went back to the store & Chet walked me through the solutions. I've seen others' comments about troubles with phone & attention; I experienced none of that, but they do stay focused on helping the customer they're helping right then. I have been a customer at this Verizon store since its opening. In the past service has been fair at best and considerably worse most of the time. But recently things have changed. I had a problem with the home button on my 4S so I took it into the store on 19th. Not only did they move the home button to the touch screen to get me back and running they ordered me a new phone on my extended warranty, at no cost, that arrived at my house in less than 24 hours. Then they transferred all data and got me on my way with a smile. Customer service above and beyond without question. I highly recommend this store, especially to the technologically challenged like myself. read more

I was shopping at Safeway and decided I would buy a charger from these guys. I walked in thinking it would be pretty painless. I asked for one - the guy gave me one and I paid for it. With tax it cost $32.31 (regular removable usb type). I haven't checked yet to see how over priced that may have been. Anyway, it turns out they are short on $1's and the salesman has to go and get some. It's bad enough that your cash transaction is not handled at the counter. The salesman leaves the floor to go into the back room to get your change. That may be safe but I find it strange. So, the guy walks out of the store to get change... I am left with the other salesmen whom has been stuffing his face with chips and dip since I walked in. After about 10 minutes of waiting and listening to his mouth noises I asked where the other guy went. Apparently the cash office is inside Safeway. I didn't say anything else because I thought it would be pointless. Until I asked my question this other salesman had never even picked up his head to see who was there, even after the other guy left and it was just the two of us. I was watching him the whole time. So, about 20 minutes go by and the guy finally comes back - walks passed me into the back room and a couple more minutes later walks out and without saying anything to me, gives me my change. Avoid this location! They sell refurbished phones as new! I was sold an iPhone 5 as part of my upgrade. After 6 weeks, the phone starting having problems. I took it in and they confirmed it was defective. It was replaced with refurbished phone. I went to Apple to see if they would replace it with a new phone. After explaining what happened, Apple entered serial information from the original phone and I was informed it was a refurbished phone. I went back to the store on 19th Street and they refused to exchange/return the phone. I asked to speak to the Manager/Owner and was told that he would call me within 48 hours. I never received a call back. I just called Verizon directly and reported the store. They handled the situation great and are shipping me an upgraded phone with all accessories free of charge. read more

CLOSED!!!!! M-F Hours: 8am-5pm? I don't think so. I showed up at 4:15 needing to get a new phone activated in time to receive a phone call from incoming, out-of-town family. I looked up their posted business hours and found that I should be able to run my other errands and then head down to the store to activate my phone, and still have plenty of time to meet with my brother's 6PM arrival at the airport. Not what happened. The store was CLOSED. At 4:15, not a soul in sight. I couldn't activate my phone and had the damndest time to trying to get ahold of and locate my brother. I was given an iPhone and went to this store, beside midtown Safeway on 19th, to open an account. Both Pierre and Jason couldn't have been more helpful and professional to a woman in her 60's!. I bought a second phone, a Razor, and opened a family plan. I returned within 14 days to exchange the phone for another and the paperwork was endless; however, I never knew that until walking out the door, since Jason made it all seem smooth as silk. I went in here a week ago because my 3 year old phone died and I needed a new one. The manager David Sum was working and he was great. Great personality, good service, answered all my questions, offered some upgrades on my contract. Turned out I decided to exchange the phone he sold me. I went in two days later and two sales associates were working - they were competent but need to work on their personality. I felt uncomfortable with them. Recently bought a phone there. Staff were not helpful at all in setting up the phone or transferring contacts from my old phone. Had to return twice to get problems resolved. Only one guy (manager?) seemed to know anything. It was a weird experience. The three employees spent more time talking amongst themselves. I actually felt like I was being scammed or something. One guy who was trying to help me (unsuccessfully) asked me to write down my email password for him. Why not just ask me to type it in for him? Hmm? Definitely would not recommend this place. The staff here has exceeded all expectations I've previously had about sales and services. The staff immediately gave me water and a comfy chair. Chet and Mike were engaging and really took my best interests in hand. I ended up walking out with a much better phone and lower payment. So I probably had the worst experience ever with verizon today. So why five stars ...because I spent about three total hours in this store dealing with the staff and they were so amazing and really went above and beyond to help me solve the problem which unfortunately was not solved because verizon corporate is scum of the universe. Bottom line I was up for an upgrade but was not qualifying for edge program because verizon said I had a returned payment within the last six months. The reason they are showing a returned payment is because when I entered my account number through their app, I accidentally entered it wrong. So it was NOT an nsf but rather a typo. I also made the payment in full less than 24 hours after the mistake. After speaking with about five supervisors up the corporate ladder of doom I was still declined the edge program due to a TYPO. I've been a verizon customer for over ten years and I have never once made a late payment or not paid my bill. In the midst of dealing with all this the manager of this store sent an employee to another store to get me my phone I wanted which wasn't in stock, he also helped me in reaching corporate and even filed a complaint with them due to how I was treated by a customer service rep. At the end of the day I opted not to get a phone bc I would have to pay $400 out of pocket vs paying 7$ monthly on edge. Soooo I'm currently on verizon protest and may just leave the company entirely. Anyhow, they are very very helpful at this store and ended up helping to adjust my bill and saving me $60 in the meantime. So all in all, it wasn't a total waste. read more

Bryan was excellent! He helped my daughter with her upgrade. I spoke with him on the phone only to authorized daughters up grade. He told me I was set up for my upgrade as well all I needed to do was go into any verizon store. So I was in Elk Grove visiting a friend and said "I want to go upgrade my phone" so went to a store in Elk Grove. They said there'd have to take my 4g in order for me to get my 5g. I was not ready to just give my phone with all my data on it. So i could go to the Same store my daughter! Bryan remembered my daughter, he also remembered talking to me on the phone. He made my upgrade experience very pleasant! Stress free! He lets keep my old 4g So I could go home download my date, he gave me an envelope already addressed to verizon! This store is very convienent for the nieghborhood since the other verizon location closed down a couple months back. Ive been in here multiple times to pay my bill, get some accesories and upgrade my phones. The employees nick and peter and lam are very knowledgable and helpful. They were able to look at my plan and put me on one that better fit my needs and saved me some money as well. The store is small and not to busy which is nice so you can get in and out of there quick. The one thing i have to say is that inside of the store doesnt look to nice. The carpet is stained everywhere and some of the displays look old compared to other verizon locations, as well as not having any live devices which is a little annoiying when trying to see the acutal devices before making a 2 year decision! Also the verizon signs look as if they are burnt out becuase when i drive by at night i only see one that is lit up. Overall good experience just needs some updating and live devices! read more

Surprised by the low reviews. I had a totally different experience yesterday. After trying for 3 days to buy an iPhone 5s from two different Best Buys, and running into really crappy customer service and long delays just trying to buy one and get it added to my Verizon account for my wife's Christmas present, I gave up. The 5s was actually $70 MORE at Verizon, but it was worth it to me not to deal anymore with Best Buy, which gave me nothing but wrong answers and long waits for awful service. This store, especially Nick, was friendly, professional, efficient. No waits, no bull...straight answers about the phone, my plan...and I actually left feeling it was an extra $70 well spent. As bad as everyone I dealt with at Best Buy was, Nick was the opposite. And despite the neg reviews here, they were open to 9 p.m., at least for the holidays, and they're a few blocks from where I work. So this was a perfect experience. read more

I have personally been helped by the manager, and he does not know what he is doing. He has lost my paperwork, and now I have lost out on the buy one get one phone free, so 672.00 he cost me. He is incompetent. I tried over a documented 20 times to contact this man via and resolve the issue. I went into the store 6 times. I have spent 20 hours on the phone with customer service. No one seem to be able to help me. I have asked for the district managers name repeatedly, and no one will give me the number. I have also tried getting this information from the store in Galt, CA from the manager there and had no luck. I don't know how he is a manager since every time I ask him how this can be resolved he has said he doesn't know. I have waited 60 days and called to check in each week and no answers. I just want help and the manager won't help. I have asked him for his bosses number and he says he doesn't know. I would never ever treat some one the way I have been treated. read more
