Do yourself a favor: do not get internet with AT&T. I ordered the fiber 500 last Thursday and was told it would be set up the coming Saturday. After 7+ hours on the phone with customer support and 4 canceled appointments for a tech to fix it, I canceled the service. They had me waiting 6 days and then told me they wouldn't be able to fix it until the 25th of April. I ORDERED IT ON THE 9th of April! Absolute BS, they are so unhelpful, and the whole time they are trying to sell me a phone line service. Why would I buy more stuff when you can't even hook up the internet I already paid for? I would put no stars if possible. Rates are high before and after paying off your phone. Great salespeopl, unhelpful customer service via phone. Horrible experience switching service and canceling with them. Was charged a whole month after canceling with them already. Was told by 2 different people I'd receive reimbursement and given a specific date to receive it and never did. Just called today to follow up to be told it was not put into their system and I would not be receiving reimbursement because my charge date and their cycle date are different. Came in yesterday to fix my mom's phone and was pleasantly surprised with Bill quick resolve to my phones problem. Was immediately assisted once I walked through the door and Bill quickly assessed the problem did a few things and fixed the phone. Thankful they didn't try and upsell me on anything and remedied the problem. I have no clue what the person right before me was talking about in terms of the poor service as that was far from my experience and you should definitely be sure to look if a person only leaves 1 star reviews. Just returned from a horrendous visit to 3100 Folsom Blvd, helped by associate Max. The receipt says Maximillian D. I wanted someone to fully unblock my recovered phone, so I could make calls. He was unable to do this. I had brought a new (refurb) Apple X phone I had never used. He took my money, but was unable to get calling running. I suggested he just sell me a new prepaid phone. They are about $100. I bought one from Representative William in May. Max was Only willing to sell me a $328 phone. I refused. He told me to leave, threatened to call police. Just cuz I wanted a phone seller to sell me a phone! I said, Go ahead. He never did. He was just typing away on his phone. I got home, to an email wanting me to validate my email connection to an ATT account number I have NEVER had! Its best to avoid the 3100 Folsom Blvd store at ALL costs. If you MUST go there, and William isn't there, my best advice is to leave and come back later. Now I have to file a fraud claim. read more

But didn't write when the note was written so I have no idea if they're coming back or if I'm wasting my time. I could have gone the opposite direction from my house and gone to another att store.. BUYERS BEWARE I came to this location because they were the only ones who had the iPhone Pro Max in silver in the Sacramento area that day. However, when I entered the store, nobody greeted me. I spoke with a young lady and explained to her that I was looking for this phone everywhere for my mother's birthday surprise. Although I asked her a few questions regarding the phone, I hardly got any response from her. It felt like I was prying answers out of her. She was stand-offish and didn't seem interested in helping me. I told her that I needed the phone as a last-minute birthday present in four hours, and I wanted it to be new as it was supposed to be a surprise. While I was looking at cases, she opened the phone and deactivated the other line without informing me. I was shocked when I found out that the other line was disconnected and the box was opened. I was really upset about it, but there was nothing I could do at that point. So, I went home, which was 30 minutes away. I was not just upset about the phone, but also about the way she treated me. I thought about letting it go, but giving my mom an open box didn't seem right. So, I went back and offered to pay the restocking fee of $55, but they refused. They said that I could pay the fee and get a new phone, but then they would have to open it again because it was their policy to open every phone they sell. I asked them to call the manager, and he confirmed their policy. I was still upset about the situation, so I went to a corporate store instead. They happily helped me get a new phone without the restocking fee. I will never go back to this store again for anything. Please beware if you want to buy the phone new, don't go here. To be fair, I tried to be friendly, but I got such bad customer service for the following reasons: there was no greeting, she did not want to answer my questions, she did not give me notice before shutting off the line, she did not confirm opening the package, and there were many fingerprints on the phone. She knew my situation and still did all that. At least she should have informed me before I made the purchase. There were no apologies either. I just had to write this review to warn others. If you want good customer service and new unopened phone, go to a real store. read more

Great experience from this location. Purchased an iPhone 13 online, and it was ready for pick up here within 1-hour. Once I arrived, I was greeted and assisted right away. The gentlemen who assisted me also helped me transfer all my data from my previous iPhone, answered all my questions about accessories, and I was in and out in a breeze. Parking is behind the store, and it's right across from Kru. Would use this location again, even if there is one closer to where I live. read more

Happened during the summer 2022... Went in to add a line for my son n only that ... we already bought a new phone from Costco but wanted to add a line.... specifically told them to only add the line ... next month's bill came n they added the next plan n a protection plan ... wtf .. I had to call n get that canceled n credit those fees back. Seemed forced to help me out, especially the girl with the nose piercing. She had me finish installing my phone at home the excuse was that it needed to be connected to wifi. Yet I went to another AT&T store and they were able to completely help me out. Mind you there were no customers whatsoever but felt like they were bothered that I had asked for help, especially with one of the girls there. Then another guy kept trying to sell me extra stuff when I was just there for the phone. Every time I would ask a question she would look at me with annoyance, on top of that she had the audacity to let me know that if I got a survey for the service to give her a 5. I went to get an upgrade on a new iPhone at this location. Needless to say I got more than I could possible hope for. Aaron helped me figured out a better plan for me because I was paying way too much for two lines. That in itself made my day. I was able to do a trade with my iPhone. The thing that worried me the most was all the important information I had in my old iPhone. He explained to me that I can save it to my iCloud and upload it to the new phone. He was easy to talk to and answered my questions. I know it took a bit of time because of activating the phone and some paperwork but it was worth the wait. My father recently passed away and I was trying to close his accounts. I called ATT and they said I needed to go to any ATT store, including resellers, with the death certificate to close it. I decided to go to the one closest to me which happened to be an authorized reseller. When I got there it was empty, no customers and no employees. So I waited alone in the store twiddling my thumbs until the salesperson decided to make his entrance. After he greeted me I explained to him the purpose of my visit and he said the ONLY way for me to cancel the service was to transfer it into my name and assume all contracts associated with it. I told him I already have a cell phone and I have no intentions of doing that. He very rudely insisted it was the only way. After a couple min of going back and forth about the absurdity of that statement, I decided to leave. Obviously I called back to corporate and surprise surprise it wasn't the ONLY way to cancel. It's clear to me that the salesman was trying to exploit a customer in a time of grief. Just another reason why I will never be an ATT customer again. read more

Came in to get the new iPhone 12. I was helped by Michelle helped me pick out the exact phone I wanted. A few days later, I brought my phone in before opening it so I could get an expert to put the screen protector on. I found that expert with Aaron. He helped me find a good case and led me in the direction for a case, which also got me a free item, a Bluetooth speaker. Overall wonderful experience with both of them. read more

My old phone was dying and I absolutely needed a new phone since I use it for business. I needed it done the day I went in on Feb 27,2020. Jahlil, who works at AT&T was absolutely fantastic and had a quiet and professional manner about him. My phone would not turn on so at first I did not think I was going to be able to transfer my information to my new XR I-phone. Jahlil with his talents figured out a way and all was resolved, set up and ready to go that day. I enjoyed talking to all three of the employees who were very customer oriented. Jahlil saved me from having to drive back to Sacramento.I live a couple hours away. I like my new phone that was recommended by the employees. ARNETT IS AMAZING!! Our family came in for Iphones and had alot of trouble with transferring our data. After leaving the store we had to come back in to fix more problems. We are quite the handful to deal with and takes a deep breath or 12 to work with my family. He was incredibly patient with us and wouldn't let us leave the store until our problems were fixed. Good if you want to get COVID. One staff person was courteous and tried to help me fix my phone issue, but she was ultimately unable to. Another employee only a few feet away was wearing a face covering below his nose, which doesn't protect customers, his coworkers, or himself. I asked him to please pull it up. The HBO Max account was never delivered. The sales person I initially spoke with was unhelpful and somewhat standoffish. Here I am yet again dealing with the scam artists that is At&t. Our phones have been disconnected again without warning. Ryan Canup made so many promises and didn't keep a single one! One of the promises and the key selling point for us to switch as we were going to get the phones for free. We just discovered on our last bill, that for 15 months we have been paying installment fees! We have ALL the email documentation of the false promises Ryan Canup and At&t have made! 2-hour long phone calls being told it was fixed, only to see on our next bill that is wasn't fixed at all! We have had so many people help with all these problems. I can't even really call it to help since not one single thing has been fixed. We even had Ben Rose form Chicago HQ emailing us to help, which went nowhere of course. Only got one email from him and never heard from him again. Not only did she activate my new phone, she went ahead and boxed up my old one so all I had to do was drop it at the post office to return it. Hmm...what can I say... sales rep name was Serge. I did not catch the other sales reps name so he got lucky. Worse customer service. We came to get my phone serviced since insurance gave a phone replacement and the new phone kept saying "no service" or "searching." They said I need a new SIM card and told me it's $5.41 (including tax). I asked what if it's not the SIM card that's the problem, they insisted that I still buy it, thinking it can be refunded if it's not the problem. So I did and then we knew it was the phone that was the problem, not the SIM card, which we most likely assumed it would be anyway. Then they told me to just call a number to get it replaced but then I purchased a SIM card for no reason when they could have given my old one back and reactivated it. But they took my old SIM card and left me with a new SIM card AND it did not solve the problem i was having. They also completely ignored my fiancé when he asked that he has problems with his phone and just told him he needed to download the updates on his phone, which he told them that he already did the updates, but they ignored him anyway and did not even address the problem. There were no other customers at the store but us at that time and they didn't even bother to check his phone. waste of time going there and $5. Guess that's ATT Customer service. Trash. I can only imagine how many customers ATT has lost as a result of the manager at this location. Talk about toxic masculinity! We are in the middle of a global pandemic and needing a phone I went into the store twice after calling. There were major precautions observed by customers, the company, the store and seemingly all the staff except for the manager. Refusing to wear a mask or observe the 6 feet rule, this guy -- whose name the staff refused to provide -- was in the face of everybody. And that was just the beginning of him throwing his weight around, badmouthing other customers and lacking in even basic customer service skills. The only reason I was switching from Sprint to ATT was for their supposedly better customer service! Well, no surprise, I packed up my new iPhone, returned it, cancelled my service and went back to Sprint. The ATT guy would not honor the waiving of the restocking fee as promised on the phone by ATT customer service. And he even threatened, if I didn't proceed without complaint, to refuse to take back the phone that was within the return period. All this after having gone through the mill just trying to get the phone to begin with. After spending significant time setting up the service and delivery of the phone, there was a major disconnect between the outsourced delivery company and ATT. I even kept the that company's rep on the line while we contacted ATT. The store promised up and down that they had a phone there for me and I would not have to (as the delivery service said would happen) cancel the order and start all over again. Well, sure enough, they just canceled my order and I had to go through the whole process in person -- and expose myself to this manager -- over again. And the manager, again displaying no customer service skills at all, continued to blame every snag in this whole deal on me, the customer. Oh, and to top it off, they started delivery of a second phone, which was up to me to stop because I did not want to take possession of it. Overall, just a bad, bad experience. Amazing how one small person can totally screw up the reputation of a big company! read more

Just not good. Went to check out the phone with a friend who has AT&T service. Start off by having to walk around the entire building after parking in their parking lot because the doors next to the lot is apparently always closed. When we come in the store about two in the afternoon on a Thursday, there probably 10 people in four groups ahead of us. So probably normal like in a regular phone store. But one staff person serving this entire store. You can imagine how long it took to get through four sets of people, Some with questions but some whining new phones. Forever. Not blaming the staff person as he tried to work as quickly as he could. Decent knowledge, although my friend did ask a question that seems pretty simple about texting that the staff person had no idea about. And that question dealt with texting on a specific phone. This is not a company store, but store owned by someone else. Overall I felt it was a waste of time coming here, and would not recommend doing so to anyone else. read more
