Just to be fair my complaint IS NOT about this location, it is about trying to get my 85 year old mother's FIOS fixed: she has no internet, no phone service and no television service. She lives in NJ and I live in IL, so I can't just "pop over" and try to help her. My mother uses her land line to talk to all of her friends, the internet to send emails, and she watches the news and her favorite shows on the TV. Without her phone, internet service and the television she is cut off from the community of her friends and the rest of the world. COVID has isolated her enough, however, VERIZON has her COMPLETELY cut off from the rest of the world. She says this problem has happened to her four or five times in the last few years. Certainly sounds like FIOS service in Nj isn't very reliable. She called us this evening absolutely at her wits end, she says she has spent HOURS on the phone calling Verizon and can't has not been able to get her FIOS problem fixed. My mother gave us all of the phone numbers she has used to call Verizon to get tech support. It took my wife 30 minutes just to get onto a waiting queue to get tech support. Hold times are approximately 1hour, wow, Verizon apparently really does have an unreliable system if they have that many people calling for support. As of the time I have gotten to this part of my complaint, my wife has already been on hold for over 30 minutes, with no end in sight. So VERIZON, what does my 85 year-old mother who lives alone, and isn't really tech savvy, need to do to get this problem fixed? read more

If you live in the NW Suburbs and you need Verizon hardware or customer service, this is the place to go to. The sales reps here are friendly and attentive and will not hesitate to explain all of your options before you make a decision. In my case, I needed a new screen protector for an older phone that is not supported. Instead of being blown off, they suggested I either contact the manufacturer or they could look in their local stock. I chose the latter option. When they told me they did not have what I needed, they did recommend an outside kiosk to remedy my need. This is Service 101. In the short term, this Verizon location did not get my money. But in the long run, they get my future business and possibly business from other people that read this review. And it is service like this that makes me stay with this Verizon. read more

Woodfield. On the weekend. During the holiday season. !!! Seriously, I'd rather face a firing squad. Verizon had an amazing online Black Friday deal ($100 phones), and due to low stock at the Verizon by my house, I HAD to go to Woodfield. I was warmly greeted, got my name in quickly, and was called in less than 5 minutes! Phil helped me.. and not just to set up my new Google Pixel, but to resolve some account issues that occurred as a result of my first order being cancelled and having to reorder (the low stock, gahh!).. Of course it took a bit, but that's to be expected when working around account issues! I was STILL in and out within 30ish minutes. On a Saturday afternoon. At friggin' Woodfield. All said and done, it was a painless process (for ME! Probably not for poor Phil!). Phil also mentioned my old chargers wouldn't work, made sure I knew how to restore my Cloud, how the billing would work and how it will change after 2-3 months, and when I'd see the refund from my trade-in. He never tried to sell me anything, only mentioning, "You should get a case" (I had ordered one). He even walked me out! YAY for good service and a shiny new phone! read more

Was greeted within seconds of walking in and told a sales rep would be with me momentarily. Patiently waited for said rep and after 20 minutes I ask the same gentlemen if someone would be with me soon. He replied please be patient sir and someone will be right with you. So I patiently waited 10 more minutes. I am not happy with with my current carrier and have research Verizon and come to the conclusion they will have a better coverage area. So now what do I do? Id rather have great customer service with a lesser coverage area because at least someone would take care of me. I guess I'll wait and see if someone else covers my area better. Our verizon contract was expiring and we worked with a sales guy. He went over the new plan and the estimated bill with us. On Monday 3/3 we went in and had him re-do the plan and ensure nothing changed before we signed the new contract. We got 3 iPhones on the edge plan. We paid our first installment in the store. We were told that with new plan,edge, insurance our bill would be estimated $234.00 without tax. We got our first bill on Saturday 3/15 and it was $334.81 You can imagine out shock. We called verizon and spoke to a rep who is looking into the available options. We were placed on hold for over 10 mins. The rep came back and said he found an offer that should have been applied to our contract. It was $20 off per line for the duration of the contract BUT he is having issues applying it. He said it will take him a week to get this figured out. A week??? Funny how the billing dates match up. My personal opinion is the reps in the store will tell you anything you want to hear just to make a sale and yea they are on commission. The Edge program is sneaky so be careful. Now we have to decide what the best next move is for us. $100 more a month is a lot and nothing what the rep said. read more

Very pleased!!! When it comes to dealing with utility providers, I am used expecting lackluster customer service. These guys have flipped that expectation upside down. I came in to exchange my phone under the insurance I bought, as my phone's charging port was defective. These guys went above and beyond what they needed to do, even offering to charge extra batteries until my replacement came in. The employees all communicated with each other regarding my issues, and worked together to help me leave happy. I've never received the same level of excellence in any other Verizon store, or dealing with any utility provider, and am now left wondering why other locations can't seem to get it together like these guys. 10 out of 5 stars!!! read more

I had a very positive experience at this Verizon location. Kineta assisted me in transferring carriers. I was very impressed with her knowledge about the competition and the promotions offered. She was able to clearly explain the contract and made sure I understood it before leaving. read more

Went in to replace my Mom's cheap flip phone after she dropped it. A sales rep named Omar Lopez "helped" us. Looked up our account and immediately advised us he could not help. The 90 dollar phone was under contract. Told me the only way he could give us a new phone was for us to cancel our contract, pay an ETF and get a new one. I was like huh. I was shocked at his lack of customer service. It was this way or the highway. I even told him I have Verizon lots of business thru work and at home with FIOS. 6 figures. Didn't matter. Ok Verizon. Message received. Time to take my business elsewhere. So rude. Just walked away from us. read more

Bought the hum with Kenny at the Verizon store at Woodfield Mall. Was excited to have it and used it frequently. Then I had a horrible car accident and lost my car that I loved. When I went to cancel the service, first they tried to strong arm me into keeping it. Lot of good that would do without my car. Then they informed me there was an early cancellation fee of $100. Was I informed of this at Woodfield? Uh no. Because I wouldn't have bought it and that is exactly why I wasn't told. I get that all salesmen want to do is push their product, but it's a shame they can't do that and operate with a level of dignity. read more

Short Version: Great knowledgeable, friendly, courteous people. Great fast correct service! I would highly recommend to all. You will be happy that you went to this store. Long Version: Due to various reasons, I was no longer part of a Verizon group plan and needed to get my own service. I have a iPhone 5 from the old discontinued service. I decided to stop my land line from AT&T and to use that number for my new service. I called the Schaumburg Woodfield Verizon store and talked to the store manager Shawn. I explained what I wanted to do and asked what I needed to bring in. He told me that bring your charged phone and a recent AT&T landline phone bill. He told me that it would take only about 25 minutes to set me up and do all that was necessary to get a new plan and use my landline number for it. I went in to the Woodfield store, I asked to see Shawn. He said hello and was busy with a customer and handed me over to Neal to whom Shaun explained what I wanted to do. Neal got to work on the new service, changing the SIM card in my phone and setting up my cell phone number with my AT&T. He explained key new features with my new service. He told me that it would take a few business days before the switch was made by AT&T and my new service would be activated. I was in and out in about twenty minutes. I could not have asked for any better service and more friendly employees than I experienced at Verizon Woodfield store. A couple of days later, my new Verizon service started with my old landline phone number and all is working well. I am extremely happy that I went to the Verizon Woodfield store. I had a problem with my I-phone where I could receive emails but not reply. I went to the store in Arlington Hts. first, but the person there actually made the problem worse and then said I'd have to call Apple. While waiting for Apple, I went to the Woodfield Verizon store and was greeted by the general manager, Anthony Guida. He understood the problem and was able to solve it when everyone I'd talked to before was stymied. His extensive knowledge was exceeded only by his determination to get everything working again. Checked in at the Woodfield store and was told there were 2 customers ahead of me. While sat patiently I saw those customers and 3or4 others being helped. Staff does not inspire confidence. When I complained l was told we couldn't find you! It's not that big of a store and I'm not that small. Meanwhile I get a spam notice from Verizon inviting me to shop. Absolutely terrible service. We ended up walking out because the sales man was overly aggressive and rude. He also was giving out incorrect information about Verizon wireless...this truly enforces why I am an AT&T user. We were even there with someone who works for Verizon, and they were terribly rude, especially to them. read more

So frustrated with this store!!!! I went into this location in February to cancel a line on my family plan. I signed all the paperwork and was told everything was taken care of. I tried calling because I'm still being charged for this line and I was told I have to come back into the store, they won't talk to me or tell me anything on the phone. So now they want me to drag my 18 month old back to their store while I'm 8 months pregnant to make sure they fix their mistakes. If they did there job the first time I wouldn't have an issue. read more

JR was the most condescending salesperson I have ever dealt with...a simple picture transfer turned into a big fiasco and the store manager was no additional help. They both blamed me for getting upset... Of course I got upset! Original data transfer did not work correctly (pictures / contacts were not only duplicated but replicated in some cases 5x the normal) so I came in before returning the defective equipment and requested that they transfer just the pictures (approx 100). JR's response is to take out the SD card and switch it with my new phone ~ when I explained that it was incorrect since I have been using the new phone for approximately 1 week and have information saved already on the new SD card, he takes both phones to the back to hookup to the machine. He leaves me standing at the desk for approx. 10-15 min without saying a word. When he returns he informs me that it's going to take a while for it to complete. I asked how long since there's only 100 pix...his response is 2-3 min a pic so if I have 100 pix it will take approx 200 min to do. I informed him that was unacceptable and asked for my phones back since I do not have that much time to wait. He unhooks them and returns them to me...I left the store only to discover that my phone was only working about 50% ~ all my apps were not there and the shell of the icons stated that they were not installed on my phone. I returned to the store and spoke to the manager who deferred to JR for assistance. JR explained that since I was in a hurry that he didn't switch the SD cards back and that it was my insistence at leaving with them and I should have known better. They switched the SD cards back and explained that picture transfers usually cost $20 and that they were really doing me a favor to begin with and I shouldn't be upset with everything. When I asked the manager how long I would have to be treated like a child he backed up JR stating that I was upset and being confrontational...that it's again my fault since I am getting upset for no reason. Since when is it too much to be treated like an adult? I have 4 phones and a netbook with data plan paying approx $250/month to Verizon...if I need pictures simply transferred and have to explain that another store screwed up and transferred 5x worth of data should someone at least say "I'm sorry for the inconvenience...let me see what I can do to help fix it" NOT ONCE did I hear them say that. Not once did he state "I'm sorry" when I came back to say that he didn't transfer back the SD cards and make sure that the phone I came in with was correctly working... read more

I went in for just for a cell phone case and Megan did a great job of listening to what I wanted and helped me find the right case for my phone. I will definitely be back to this store. read more
