Came in to upgrade 2 phones and our plan. Was a great experience until 2 days later when I noticed the absolutely fraudulent crap the sales guy put on our plan. The easy one to explain is the phone insurance. I told him in zero uncertain terms that we absolutely did not want the insurance plan. He put it on anyway. The next one is actually diabolical. They have the deal where you get netflix/hbo with ads for $10/month. He told us the plan without ads is $20/month, so we asked to add that plan. What this scam artist actually did was put the $10/month plan with ads, the Netflix premium, and the HBO premium, all separately for a total of $34.50 per month. Yelp won't publish this review if I accurately describe what category of human being this individual is. During our time spent there, he proudly explained that he makes commission and makes more money at Verizon than he did working in IT. Now we know how. read more

This place is scammed. Came to remove one of my 4 lines since we only need 3 lines. The associate told me they have a good promotion to add a hot spot which won't impact my bill. Month later I noticed my bill increased by $60. They added hot spot to 2 lines and because my plan was change the device credit was removed from my account. This change was never communicated to me. In general, customer service is terrible, it feels like they do you a favor. read more

I arrived early for a 11:00 appointment and 30 minutes later, I finally saw someone. After an hour, the staff was not able to get my iPad Air to work with three different SIM cards. After an hour, I gave up. Two weeks later I went to the Verizon Kiosk at Costco. Devyn was able to put in a SIM card and get the iPad to work within 10 minutes. This Verizon store let me down because: 1. The appointments do not work, they do not even know who is coming in and they take walkins go before those that have made appoints in advance. 2. While the staff was not able to get my iPad working, I was still charged on my bill that came out the next weekend. My advice, go to the Sparks Costco and ask for Devyn. He has been then 13 years and is always a joy to deal with. read more

Sat around for twenty minutes before assisted us, then they I formed us it would be another ten minutes before they could open the safe to get our product. The store was filthy dirty. This review is in conjunction with a friend of mine who received horrible customer service when purchasing her new phone. The client signed up for a new Installment Billing contract with the iPhone xs max, which if you know raises your bill slightly more when cycling off of the previous iPhone. The in store experience was good, however post sale was a horrible experience STAY AWAY from this store. Long story short... the phone had previously been sold and used to where during a work trip the phone shut down completely, restarted and required the information of a third party company. First, we went back to Verizon to solve the issue, and we all know franchise Verizon stores lack education and customer commitment some of the time (versus a cooperate store). Which led to simply poor customer service and a disaster of an experience. The store employees were rude, angry, and dis thoughtful to say the least. Apple did replace the phone, however how hard is it to apologize for a mistake (they knew they were doing at the time I used to work for Verizon new phones are unwrapped IN FRONT of the customer showing a new device) showing some ownership and responsibility. I hope the management here is corrected soon, regardless STAY AWAY from this location and head over to Smithridge Verizon cooperate OR BestBuy Mobile which is top notch. read more

Do yourself a favor and go to a corporate store, they will treat you much better. I placed an order through the app for in store pick up, we were upgrading one of the lines to an iPhone 16 pro max. This was the only store that had the phone for pickup otherwise I would have gone to a corporate store. This is not the first negative experience I've had at this store. We placed the order at 6:00pm, the store closes at 9:00pm. I called Verizon to make sure the order would be ready for pickup that same day like the app said it would be. I spoke with a manager at 7:30pm who called the store and then informed me they said it would be ready at 8:00pm. We got there at 8:15pm, the employee was working with 2 other people. My mom and I started looking at the other phones and he didn't acknowledge us until 8:30pm. He then asked us "what we wanted" and I told him we had a pickup order. He immediately replied "it's not ready", he didn't even know what the product was but it's clear he knew there would be a pickup order and just didn't feel the need to get it ready. I told him I had gotten off the phone with a manager not even an hour ago who let me know she had called the store and they had confirmed it would be ready at 8:00pm. He told us with a terrible attitude that "nobody had called him, we would need to leave and wait for the text". I told him all we wanted was to pick it up, we didn't need help with set up or anything else. He repeated that we needed to leave. His name is Ami. I don't understand why if you had more than 30 minutes before the store closed why you couldn't just fulfill the order, it's obvious he felt he was going to stay past the hours of closing and just didn't want to help us. I've been with Verizon for close to 8 years now and I'm tired of being treated like a criminal. The customer service at this store is horrendous and they clearly don't value their customers. I would hope the store takes this seriously because employees like that are going to make Verizon lose business. at 4am on 10/15/19 my Pixel XL decided to poop on me (something with a software update glitch, and it's totally a manufacture problem), and since this was the only verizon store that was open early (9am) I made my way here after work. I came in promptly at 9am, was greeted by the only staff member in the store (I did not recall his name) and he patiently helped me with my problem. We spent about 30 minutes trying to log into my account (I share the account with a friend and had to call for the special pin) and the employee attempted to trouble shoot the phone. After some dilly daddling, I was told that even though I have insurance on the phone, I still would have to pay a $200 deductible to get a replacement. At this point I was furious, because the phone isn't damaged and in excellent condition (I had 2 replaced before due to other manufacture problems). The employee proceeded to turn the computer screen to show me the type of insurance that I purchased and told me that manufacture warranties are only good for a year and anything after that was going to be out of pocket (at this point I new it was a lie). I was then told that the phone is old and that even after paying a $200 deductible for another one, I'll most likely encounter the same problem, because he's seen it before. He then went into sales man mode and tried to sell me a phone. I was told the new pixel 4 was just released this morning, when asked about when I can purchase it, I was told "I don't know". But, I can buy a pixel 3 for around $500 and have a working phone today or I can pay the $200 deductible for the same phone which will have the same problem again and I'll be phoneless for a few days until the phone arrives (his words not mine). At this point I'm pretty furious (12+hr shift, phone issues, non helpful employee telling me lies), I expressed my anger and pointed out that I had this phone replaced before twice without paying anything, but was still told that I had a $200 deductible. Also, at this time he told me that I should upgrade my plan to the unlimited data and pay XYZ because the plan I have is non-existent, low data, etc. I pointed out that we rarely use data hence why we're on the plan we are on with roll over and etc. Seeing that this person really just wanted to make a sell, had no empathy for my situation and that I just got off work and was obviously tired (mind you, I'm still in scrubs), he really was just sharking it. So, I finally just told the employee that I will think about it and come back later. I went home, surfed Verizonwireless.com, found out I can preorder the Pixel 4, called verizon right away, spoke with 2 very helpful people and was told that I had insurance and the problem was obviously a manufacture defect and that it was going to be a FREE replacement and they'd overnight my phone. I was then told that I should ONLY go to a VERIZON STORE and not an authorized retailer (which was this location) to get the best service. Moral of the story, just go to an actual verizon store, there is 2 locations: los altos pkwy and smithridge. You'll be less preyed on. read more

This place is terrible. They scammed me out of $65, for a screen protector that should cost $30 max. The worker convinced me to get a screen protector but did not tell me the price (no sticker on the box). I asked for a print out of the bill before paying and he said he would give it to me after. The receipt for the overpriced screen protector was emailed which I couldn't see til I got home. He also put the thing on my phone without my permission so that I couldn't return it. On top of this, they promised $400 for my trade in. I noticed 2 months later that I wasn't getting a discount on my bill, and after calling Verizon saw that they claimed they "couldn't assess" and gave me $0. Luckily corporate is fixing this for me but good god do not get your phone from this place it is so sketch. read more

A little over a month ago, I purchased a phone from this store. The gentleman who assisted me was very helpful and got my new phone set up for me very quickly. About a week ago, my phone was acting up, so I restarted it. When the phone powered back up, it appeared as though it had just updated (which it had not), and was requesting the login and password for Parker Drilling to remotely manage my phone. I have no connection to Parker Drilling, and had never even heard of it until then. I had no way of accessing my phone, and so I brought it in to another Verizon store to see if they were able to help. I was told that my phone was probably hacked, and that Apple was the correct contact for assistance. I went in to the Apple store, and they inspected the phone and determined that the phone had not been hacked, but previously had belonged to Parker Drilling and that's why the serial number was still linked to their Remote Management system. Long story short, the phone that was sold to me was refurbished. I've tried to contact the manager, and I've contacted Verizon directly, and no one seems to want to take responsibility for this. Absolutely scummy. Update: Verizon was unable to help, but put me in touch with the store manager, who proceeded to argue with me and then hung up on me. Unbelievable. read more

This place is only one in a million reasons I'm dumping Verizon Wireless. They are sexist, uncouth, and quite prone to assuming things. Beware if you're female, especially if you're nice or good looking. All that on top of corporates shady billing practices and lack of care during these difficult times. My wife has come to bat for me when I'm not available (working) for all the usual Verizon issues such as calls dropping, phone issues, and the occasional billing issue as Verizons regular customer service is only as useful as a hammer made of wet Play Dough. First, the ALWAYS assume a problem relates to our non existent "kids". NOT EVERY FUCKING COUPLE HAS KIDS OR WANTS THEM!!! Honestly, heres some poster children for anti-natalism right here in this store. The manager has been especially rude to my wife on numerous occasions. Talking down to her, making her uncomfortable. He even chased her down in the parking lot as she left and said she could come over to his house for a "private consultation". WHO THE FUCK DOES THAT TO A MARRIED MAN'S WIFE!?!? One time the tech took the phone in back and it came back out with her photo gallery open to a string of selfies after 2 fucking hours to fix a sim card issue....AFTER THEY TOLD US THE PHONES DOD NOT HAVE SIM CARD SLOTS WHEN WE BOUGHT THEM. It's bad enough that Verizon Wireless as a whole company is shitty with lousy billing, not-free "freebies" (like that useless Ellipses tablet were forced to get a 3rd line for that we never use for text or voice....again "maybe your kids will game on it"....GRRRR). The stour WOULD be an ample opportunity to make the whole Verizon experience not suck so bad. I went to multiple Verizon stores to solve a problem on my business account and none were able to fix my problem except the young gentleman I think his name was Tomas, he wears a Gucci hat and drives in a tesla, and he drove to a different store to pickup devices for my business and solved my problem. Verizon lied .. well likely incompetent marketing .. as there 50% off is wrong as they raised the price of the S21. That aside, the journey here was almost surreal due to complete ineptness. No fault of the lady trying to assist me during each failure by Verizon. But the store is to blame also. As I ventured there ... with the price of gas out of control, I needed to go through 2 hours of failure as they could not set up my phone on the 1st day.. in fact the help desk made it worse. Came back the next day and it was still a trial. Better yet, when I expressed my displeasure, I was told by some other assistant that "you need to understand ..." um ... no I do not, I need service. Zero concern for the huge inconvenience. When I asked for the manager, I was refused but offered a $5 discount, after I was told the set up would be waived but was not! In addition, they fell on "we are Victra not Verizon"??? Huh?? The store says VERIZON ... you represent ... VERIZON!!! Who the heck is Victra anyway! But at the end of the day ... would you really expect better? Pathetic! AND ... I do not have the plan they said I would and will need to deal with Verizon on line to get it fixed! I left them once because of their high prices on phone service. I'm back with a family plan & all the bells & whistles since the prices weren't too bad... as soon as the greeter (nice person BTW) said there is a $15 charge to help me with my new Apple Watch & $25 for phone help & if that was ok? I said no that WAS NOT OK, Apple doesn't charge, nor does Best Buy!! I shouldn't have to pay for assistance on technical support since I'm a customer and walked out! After such a positive first experience my husband and I decided to go back and do some business. We had the pleasure to work with Jason this time. He was wonderful. He knew all about the phones, their differences and similarities. He also had a full grasp of the various data plans and the upgrades we needed. He was fully aware of possible discounts, coupons and price matching. Although we were not able to use all these perks he, at the very least, looked into our qualifying. I was able to activate the new phone at this Sparks store yesterday. I had had an online chat with a Verizon representative that found me an iPhone 8 at this store and scheduled an appointment to pick it up. During the chat the representative said the iPhone 8 would be $18.75 monthly with cost of phone at $499. However, when I arrived at the store the communicated price for the iPhone 8 was $25 monthly with cost of phone at $610. I was very disappointed by this, feeling that I was played with a bait and switch. As my former device was on its last leg, I didn't have the luxury to walk away-though seriously considered it. Please confirm communicated price throughout the customer experience to ensure satisfaction. As a result of inconsistent pricing, pushy sales to purchase additional items I didn't need or want, and a terrible smell at the store, I had a pretty poor customer experience with this transaction. read more

I had a very positive customer experience when I went to this store about a month ago to check prices on a new phone. Michael, the manager, spent a lot of time with me going over options, prices, and helping me to decide on the phone that would work best for me. He was not only very knowledgeable, but he was also very patient and kind. He seemed to genuinely care about helping me to make the best decision rather than making a quick sale. Based on my own experience and my observations of how the other reps dealt with their customers, I'm baffled by the negative reviews that have been submitted about this store. We were told they could not do anything because all we had was a tablet on our account even though a few weeks ago we had it raised at a different store no problems still locked out then. Two of the representatives were not busy for a good minute after helping a customer out. I still had to wait like 30 minutes to 45 minutes before any of the representatives approached me. It's gonna be my first and last time I stopped at this location. Also with one the representatives previous visits. That representative push back and hit my kid with the desk. From the minute we walked in, Michael helped us, answered all our questions and was absolutely fantastic. Now I know, you're thinking, yeah, that's his job. And you're correct. But! We were with him for a few hours and he had amazing customer service. He had a great sense of humor and A LOT of patience!!
