I went to this Verizon store a couple days ago And honestly I wasn't too sure about what I wanted to get I just knew I needed a new phone.... Sharon is the best!! I went in to upgrade my phone and she went above and beyond. She dealt with my extremely long transfer process because i hadn't backed up my phone to iCloud in forever and phone to phone wasn't working either. She stayed extremely patient and helpful the whole time. I even brought my wife in two days later to get a new phone from her because of how great she is. There's a reason why my last 6 Verizon devices were all shipped to my house, you avoid the ridiculous wait times in store. Last time I was in a Verizon store was back when I picked up my Galaxy Note 3 and that was a 3 hour circus. I thought maybe things have changed, but not the case. Placed an order for pickup online, signed all my agreements, got an email saying another email would be sent when my order was ready. Never received such email hours later so decided to call the store. Told me pickup would be ready in 10 mins. Ok great, no email saying it's ready, but let's head to the store. Almost 45 minutes of confusion trying to get checked out. The system was down? No, the proper procedure for in store pickup changed and no one was aware of the change. Why is that ? It's the biggest cell carrier company and no one is on the same page? How about proper training and finding out any procedure changes every morning before the business day starts?I'm done with in store nonsense, this should have been a 10 minute pickup excluding the wait in line. read more

EDIT: My original review of this store was taken down by Yelp because it used "colorful" language. I edited out such language and reposted my review so that you would know what you were getting when you thought about entering this store. Before it got taken down, however, the Verizon store commented on my review, as they have with almost every other bad review here, and asked that I call or email them so that they could resolve the dispute. I have called them twice and got a voicemail. They have not called back. I emailed them and got no response. It's clear that they only comment on the bad reviews and pretend to look like they care. They don't. In any case, here's my review of this awful company filled with awful personnel: I walked into this store a few days ago and, as I walked in, the saleslady saw me and quickly put her mask on. Apparently she thinks that it's ok not to have her mask on when customers aren't inside. I asked her what kind of promotions she had on the new Galaxy S21+. She knew of the $600 trade in offer but that was it. Her manager, Torrin, overheard her and said that there was also a $150 account credit if I get the S21+. I asked her why she wasn't aware of that credit and whether they got training. She said that they got no training and that management effectively left it up to them to research the phones and the promos, so if you had someone like her who didn't do her research, you'd just miss out on the promo. In any case, I decided to order the phone. She said they'd call me when the phone was delivered. I was tracking the phone a few days later and saw that it was there. Do you think they called me to tell me it got there? No, they didn't. I went to the store to start the process of transferring my data from my old phone to my new phone but, while during the transfer, Torrin informed me that the $150 account credit didn't apply to my account because I had a Legacy Unlimited Plan. I asked him why he didn't ask me what kind of plan I had when he told me about that credit. He just looked at me. Nonetheless, $150 wasn't going to change my life, so I told him to continue with the transfer. Torrin also apparently didn't care much about COVID because his mask kept falling below his nose and he stopped trying to fix it after that happened about the 5th time. In any case, the transfer was taking too long (far longer than they promised it would take), so I went home and would come back when it was ready. I called an hour later and the saleslady told me that the $600 trade in promo was also not available for my account, which was a Legacy Unlimited Account. I asked her why they hadn't told me that when I first asked what promos apply to my account a few days back, or why Torrin hadn't told me that just a few hours ago when he told me that the $150 credit didn't apply either. She didn't have an answer. I told her that I wanted a refund. She said fine. I drove back down, got a refund, and took my old phone back, but that wasn't the last of their follies. The saleslady "forgot" to reactivate my old phone before returning it to me. I had to reactivate it over the phone with Verizon instead, wasting another hour of my time. At best, these people have no idea what they're doing, what promos apply to what accounts and when. At worst, these people lie about what promos apply in order to get you to invest your time and energy so that, once they tell you the truth about what promos actually apply, you're already too invested to say no. They also couldn't care less about your exposure to COVID. read more

Verizon Store on Laurel Canyon -no masks. I was at the Verizon store on laurel today, twice. First time, a manager looking guy was not wearing a mask and had two unmasked customers. I had to go back again to return something. Second time, same guy, no mask. The other employees were wearing masks(on and off) and no one was particularly friendly. I asked why the guy didn't wear a mask and was told something like "they do what they want". When I left I confirmed there was a sign on the front door that said you may not enter without mask. I recently had the pleasure of upgrading my iPhone at the Verizon store on the corner of Laurel Canyon and Houston in Valley Village. I have been going to this Verizon since the BlackBerry days, but out of all my upgrades, this one was the most enjoyable! My sales man, Gary, made the experience almost painless. Of course it takes a moment to transfer your information from one phone to the next, but Gary was a pleasure to deal with. Great conversation, super knowledgeable! Don't come to this store! I came in to upgrade my phone last month and they had a promotion going on where you get a free tablet with an iPhone purchase. I didn't know about this before going in and told the salesman (NICHOLAS) I didn't want it. He kept saying that it was free and would only have to pay the sales taxes. So I figured why not? Well when I saw my next bill it showed that I had an additional line added and was being charged monthly for the tablet I never wanted. Turns out I got tricked into signing a two year contract for the tablet. I will never return to this location again. This is the first time I've had something like this happen to me since being with Verizon. It's the type of thing to make you switch providers. read more

First, they try to get you with the "free" Jetpack and they conveniently forget to tell you about the additional $20 per month. I had a bad feeling about this place as soon as I walked in. The kids (salespeople) were all just sitting around and the place was messy. Random trash was sprinkled on desks but everyone was focused on their phones. Someone finally looks up and greets me like I was bothering them. I was coming in to switch over from another carrier and this was the way I'm being introduced? Im telling you it's a bunch of unenthusiastic teenagers running this scam store. Customers started coming in and no one was being properly assisted. One employee decided to take his break and hang out around the floor dragging his feet right in front of all of us. It was upsetting to watch. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. When I left and saw the bag they gave me it all made sense. I went in looking for Verizon and instead I got duped into a third party vendor. "Go wireless" is printed on a white paper bag. Not "Verizon". What the heck did I actually buy? The Verizon Store at 4853 Laurel Canyon Blvd. has to be one of the very best. They always answer their phone and they provide outstanding customer service. The staff gives each customer as much time as is necessary. Even if you have to wait a few minutes, it is certainly worth it. Sharon was the representative who assisted me with an iPhone in which I was interested. She went "above and beyond" to answer all of my questions and never rushed me in any way. Sharon is great PR for the store. All of the other staff members with whom I interacted (even briefly) were extremely professional and very courteous. Torin & Team saved my literal cellphone life. I was on a golf trip and my phone was stolen off a golf cart. I did the Find My iPhone app and the thief took it off line. Usually when I go into Verizon for any issues the individuals working are always trying to haggle more money out of me through white lies in regards to what the "best deal" is. But ever since I met Torin, my view of Verizon and my experience of the company has changed drastically. His attentiveness and dedication to the customers needs and concerns is top notch. 3 months later, in store visit, 2 calls to the store, 3 2 hour chats with verizon customer service and 1 hour long call to verizon and i'm still being charged double what my initial bill was after agreeing to a false promo that the store manager sold me on. I say false because my latest conversation with verizon today was that I wasn't eligible for the promo that I signed up for. I don't know if it's Verizon or this store in particular, but at best know one knows what they're doing to best service customers and at worst they are hustling customers. read more

I first called to see if they had the phone I wanted. I got Tyler on the other end telling me that he had a couple, and to come in. Just having had my phone that I'm still paying off stolen, I was already in a mood having to buy another one. The minute I got into the store and asked for Tyler, he popped up and knew exactly who I was and helped me right away with a smile. He even had two different options for me of this highly in demand phone. There were slight hiccups in the process (none of them Verizon's fault) but Tyler literally did everything in his power to make sure I was taken care of. This store used to be good and helpful to me and my family. However, more recently it's filled with incompetence, as my father and mother asked for help, for simple things and the staff working there didn't feel like doing their job and helping them. My father came in with a new phone which he bought off of Amazon and asked for one of the staff members to help a voicemail icon, they made up some ridiculous excuse and didn't help. The other times my mother and I went to the store and at first we felt that one of the staff members didn't want to help with an international plan, she felt like he didn't feel like doing anything and only provided one option which didn't work for us, afterwards she got help from Verizon Wireless Operator to get the plan that she needed, which the employee could have easily looked up but didn't and we lost our time, without getting any help. The other time my mother and I came in with a problem with her phone, it was losing battery fast. There was a different employee who was there assisting us, and he also didn't feel like doing anything, when I told him to charge it and see what will happen, he put it on charge and later said that she needs a new phone, which was of no help. Today we went to the Verizon in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd. They easily helped both my mother and father. My mom had a problem with a sim card, which they replaced for free and we didn't need to spend hundreds of dollars on a new phone like this Valley Village place suggested. My father got help with the voicemail icon from one of the staff members at this store. When we told them the kind of service we received at the Valley Village location, they told us that they also heard bad things about this location. A few years back, we got good help at the Valley Village location, but now it's filled with laziness and incompetence, I don't even know why they are still open. read more

I always knew these GoWireless retail Verizon stores were a mess but this is by far the worst one. My parents went in to upgrade their phones back in May. Mind you, they're older so they don't pay too much attention to the details, especially when someone says something is "free". They were sold a tablet that was promoted as free & when I went in to maintenance the account I saw that there was a device payment and $20 line payment. I went to the same location with my dad to find out what was happening & unfortunately I don't remember the name of the rep we spoke with but he was by far the most condescending, belittling & rude rep I've ever had the unfortunate experience interacting with. He basically told us that he never said the device was free, then throughout the conversation said that the device is "basically free". He said that the day my parents came in "there was a lot going on" meaning they wanted to upgrade their phones.. I'm not sure how that's a lot going on but maybe it had to do with the fact that in addition to that he was adding a line, selling them a device that was promoted to be free & who knows what else at this point. He said there was supposed to be a completely different promotion on this "free" but not free tablet where the line was half off and that, conveniently, the promotion was somehow never applied to the account. So he text his manager to have the account credited for the months that the promotion wasn't applied and that moving forward it'll be applied. Looking at my bill as I write this review and it looks exactly the same. He kept telling us that we're only paying $1 or something for the tablet but our bill, the one we had as we were reviewing the account, did not reflect absolutely anything he claimed to be accurate. It was just the worst experience & is unfortunate that my parents & myself had to go through this stressful & inconvenient experience. Having to go to a store, during a pandemic, to get nothing done & no clarification was terrible. I suggest you drive to a corporate store or find the time to call customer service. read more

Walked in here 7:40 hence this store closes at 8 ready to purchase 2 iPhone8's on Wednesday and the guy in there who said his name was "Sergio" idk if he lied but he was closing shift refused to help us and said he had shut off everything and that he couldn't make any more sells. YOU CLOSE AT 8 not any sooner. This is unacceptable I will never return to this location again EVER. And from the looks of it, this place has already horrible reviews so i don't understand why they haven't made it a priority to higher their customer service skills. I would never treat a BUYING CLIENT in that manner. I went into this store in may to try to get a samsung edge. They were having internet or technical issues that day and they could not seem to get my phones switched over. So after 4 hours I told them I was leaving. They then said that they were sorry for the waste of time, and so its not a complete waste of time, that i may as well take a free jet pack to use my my unlimited date plan. I asked them at least 5 times will i ever be charged for this. They said never. Three months later I am charged $20 a month for this device and Verizon wants a cancellation fee to deactivate. After 5 different calls with Verizon, i got a representative nice enough to "go to bat for me" and she had the device removed with no fee. Just beware of these bait and switch moves these stores play on customers. I would assume they knew I would be charged, yet they played it off to me that I NEVER would be. My advice is to go to a real verizon store. This store appears to be an actual verizon store from the outside, but once inside, you realize its not actually verizon. Stick with the actual verizon retail stores. read more
