Hostage Negotiator. The Manager could realize a future carrier in hostage negotiation. I was out of my mind. I had been two weeks without a phone. When I attempted to walk into the store to get a phone I was notified that due to NOVID19 all walk-ins were by appointment only. I was handed a slip with phone numbers on it to call to make an appointment. Now, before go further, Let me say that my story was even more complicated than I will bother you with. ... When I called the numbers on the slip, trying to make an appointment for someone to see me, On hold, I first got a commercial for AT&T Internet (AT&T commercial on a Verizon call??) when I declined I was greeted with a Car Insurance Commercial, when I declined, I was greeted with a Direct TV commercial. After I declined and hit a button for a operator I was connected to Direct TV sales department. After re reading the slip with more than eight listings to call that I was given for making an appointment , in the fine print I noticed that they were instructing me to go to a website to make an appointment. So I went online and instead of contacting that store, I went to an alternative store that I am more familiar with to book an appointment. When I called them they went out of their way to talk me out of actually booking an appointment, even though I could tell he had no other customers to deal with and all the time in the world on his hands. When his simple instructions didnt work out, I called back . I explained my situation (not such a simple one) And he again discouraged me from trying to book an appointment. Instead gave me a phone number for help that after 3 minutes (according to the phone was a connected call) still had not rang one single time. Phone Numbers that dont work, sales and tech supporters that wont support. I had been two weeks without a phone and if I didnt get this accomplished in a few hours it would be a whole other week before I would be in communication and nearly missing work shifts, not capable of knowing when I am supposed to work, risking my employment. At my wits end, I marched down, speeding to the first store, not the second more familiar store that was intent on not allowing me to attend. I could see a representative assisting a female client. marching past I proceeded to pound of the door three times. I would not take no for an answer. Someone had to talk to me. I was being bullish and abrasive and the Rep/Mgnt took one second to acknowledge me. I know I was being Boorish. That was the point. But I was not trying to cut in line, I just needed to be noticed. He took 2 seconds to acknowledge me which is what I needed and then I explained that I am sorry but I do not mean to cut in line. please help your customer, I am willing to wait my turn (but I need someone to give me a turn). He seemed to help her with all her troubles and then took the moment to address me and my incorrigible behavior. I had been sitting on the curb legs and fingers crossed in a deescalated posture. Without appointment and my irate behavior he took it in stride and dealt with my issues one step at a time. At one moment another sales associate came out just to check on him to make sure he was alright with me. I had regressed by that moment and wanted to display my humility. I was just expressing my predicament so that someone would notice how much trouble I had been in. He went on to explain that my behavior , that if he was inside the protected doors, normally protocol would be instructing him to call the police. I am a showman, I project, I make a scene when I have to. (Im a faker) so I was quick to regress . But despite me , the Mgnt/assoc. was quick to juggle his current patron and my wild ass . When he finished with his current customer he talked to me in a clam deescalation manner of which by then I also wanted to follow his lead. He asked me simple questions that I was ready with the answers to. I dont do cell phone stuff. I dont gravitate to the newest tech. So I dont know the ins and outs that seem to change every two years. I had just had a bad experience with company wide lack of customer assistance and in all of 5 minutes ones sales rep / Mgnt solved my two week problem. I didnt catch him name. But I am sure they are reading this today. The company might have to rethink some of their corporate procedures. But this man, for me saved the face of your corporate perception. Positively THE WORST run store I have ever been to!!!! I was checked in and told it would bring just a few minutes but after 30+ minutes still no help. The manager kept saying it was so busy and he only had 3 people on staff. I had my cell phone stolen at Pechanga on Wednesday feb 15th...needless to say I was kind of frantic. I went to this Verizon store #40758 the next morning. Met Stephen who greeted me as soon as I walked in. I explained to him what had happened. I do have insurance on my phone but he was looking for other deals and even though I was able for an upgrade that usually entailes you turning in your current phone for the upgrade which I didn't have. So he helped me with some other options but I ended up getting a replacement of my same phone. Stephen was very kind and thoughtful and I want to say how much I appreciated his service. If I could give zero stars I would. My husband went to this store today, so he could activate his new phone. The employees (3 total) were extremely rude right off the bat. They said they needed authorization and sent a link, but never sent a link. They told my husband he needed to wait outside, even though be was the only customer there! They made him wait outside for 30 minutes. The woman came outside, but just to eat her lunch and they sent the guy out there just to stand by my Husband and watch him...? It was so bizarre. Their tones and attitude were nothing like I've witnessed before. It was an inconvenience for them to do their jobs apparently. They didn't greet my husband, help my husband, or do a damn thing but either eat or stand there on their phone "watching" him. These people are assholes. Sorry to say it, but it's true. My husband ended up leaving and refused to be treated poorly. This place is ridiculous. read more

I am so upset after going to this store I'm changing to AT&T. I came in to the corporate Winchester store. I was helped by ( ERIC) let's take the word help lightly. He told us that in order to get the $800 off my 2 iPhones I needed to close the lines and get a new number. He also told my dad That. My dad just wanted his same phone newer 5g model. I have not gotten a phone in 3 years. We wanted to take advantage of the high price plan we changed to. I'm so mad that he lied to us just to get new service instead of an upgrade. If I wanted to do that then I would have. I would have respected him more if he would have told me to go online because he doesn't get paid commission. He said he wasn't going to help us because it took to much time and yelled at the manager and stormed to the back room. Verizon this is false churn. You would rather lose a customer than to just be nice and point them in the right direction. What is the purpose of new lines if 3 lines are being canceled. The manager was nice after I told him I knew all his bosses which I do. If Eric had been my employee I would fire him. So in conclusion your business practices and ethics have gone down the drain. Drove 30 minutes to be treated badly and I still have the option of switching service. Shame on you Eric for trying to take advantage of an elderly man when my bill is going to be over $230 with old phones. I'm calling corporate on Monday morning. As a customer of Verizon for over 11 years and a husband who has been in the telecommunications business for over 25 years I have never been more impressed with a Verizon store and service ever! Our family of 6 that ties into our business account for 4 additional members who are employees were told we weren't able to upgrade our phones in January when all of our paperwork, mailer etc. showed we were and qualified to do so. After countless hours on lame customer service lines, we finally went into this store & met Eddie their customer rep and Minhaj the store manager. They took the time to see what the issue was. They not only solved the error on Verizon's part but they saved Verizon from losing our large account. It gets better! As the upgrade was finalized and new phones and lines needed to be added and ready for us to come in, it turns out Eddie and minhaj came in on their day off to finalize everything so that we could ensure our pick up the next day ran smoothly and efficiently! This store is phenomenal with their team and they truly saved Verizon losing a large account and made for some very very happy customers! read more

Had multiple issues with a device in May and it wasn't resolved until about a month ago. Went to this location to get assistance after customer service said this was the only way, and fortunately, they were able to help resolve the problem. As a courtesy, the manager stated she would apply a $25 credit to my account due to the consistent 3 month inconvenience this had caused. However, I just got my bill and they didn't apply anything. When I called customer service they said there's nothing they can do and the manager needs to apply the credit. But when I call the store directly, it loops me back to customer service. :/ Why offer something you don't intend to follow through with? This isn't a COVID issue, this is a customer service issue; very disappointed. read more

I cannot remember the guys name that helped us but he does have a daughter in junior high who loves slime. lol He was super friendly, informative and tentative to the customers. When i came in it was only me but then 4 other people came in and he checked them all in but still making sure i was getting helped. One customer who checked in was just so awful with the way he spoke to him that it made my jaw drop..just so rude and the employee was so nice and still very friendly to him. I was in and out in less then 30 minutes with buying a ipad and setting up a new service. Based on some of these poor reviews, I had to double check that I had chosen the correct location for my review... (the storefront outside of the Promenade Mall on Ring Road, next to the gas station). I've been a Verizon customer for years and have always made the trip out to this location (though a couple others are closer to home) because they always provide great service. I'm always greeted immediately when I enter, the employee finds out what my reasons for coming in are, and he or she lets me know how long of a wait there will be (if there is a wait). Most often they even offer a free little water bottle :) I always get wonderful service anyway, but my most recent visit was exemplary. Aaron helped my sister and me that day with an upgrade. He shared the promotions and bundles, not in a pushy way that felt like he was just after sales, but in a way where he was finding out about our daily needs and offering products that could be helpful. He demonstrated how some of the other offers worked (such as HUM), answered all my questions, and even came out to our car to show us how to install the HUM device. Aaron is fantastic! I really appreciate that kind of personable customer service. The manager on duty that day, David I believe, was also great, and checked in to see how our experience was. Big thank you to Aaron and David! We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this Verizon location. read more

So while it's fun to get a new phone, it's a brutal, time-consuming endeavor. I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received from Steve. He was knowledgeable, smart, and nicer than most I've dealt with in the past. He explained all of my options without being pushy. He processed my (complicated) order quickly and accurately. He even followed up a few days later to be sure that everything was as expected, and to ask if there was anything he could do for me. Wow, that's never happened before. Absolute worst switch over experience ever. Avoid this store at all costs. We decided to switch over seven lines because salesperson Dion told us that it would save us a lot of money and we would not find a better deal anywhere else. The day we signed up (Black Friday), the deal was right, everything was set. Of course, when the bills started coming, they did not match what we set up in the store. The store has done nothing to fix it. We have tried calling customer service, and they have said to talk to the store. We have been in person twice and given the run around. The store manager, Tyler (?), was supposed to call us on multiple occasions. I don't even know his name for sure because I have never seen him or been able to talk to him. So, if you are looking for good customer service, honesty, respect, commitment to customer, anything else positive - look elsewhere, this is not the store. read more

I had a fantastic experience here in July. I moved into the area and had no reception with AT&T, who wouldn't help me resolve the issue, so I went to Verizon to switch. I came here because it's an actual Verizon store vice a dealer. They had some great promos going on at the time and the store even made me aware of some other ones I didn't know about that I could add on to my current deal. The swap was painless for my family of phones and Steven ensured I understood everything that was happening with the account and through the process. I even came back to verify some billing items yesterday afternoon and the floor staff was very willing to help me. Their management is great and I have zero complaints. read more

Considering this is the only corporate Verizon store in the area, it's always been my go-to place. And since some of the staff has been around for a long time, it's nice to know the staff here does know what they're talking about. Personally, I think that their sales and customer people are okay, but their service/technical are the ones that I think Joe is also writing about. It's not that they're NOT helpful, but they definitely do give you the run around sometimes. Over the past 8 years, I've brought multiple phones in (including 3 terrible enV's) and it's always the same story about it's something that we're doing wrong, it's not the phone, but we could certainly talk to somebody about buying a new phone. On a more positive note though, I will give Verizon props for now proving a trade-in program that allowed me to trade in my iPhone 4 last night for a new 4S. But if you still haven't heard about it, please note that Verizon does now implement a $30 "upgrade fee" and does not waive it. read more

Went in to get a new phone. I really like the cell service they have and my phone is great. There customer service isn't any good though, just there to take the money for your phone. I asked my rep to see if there is a better phone plan for me because I have been going over my data. He assured me that I was on the best plan and just sold me the phone. When I went to fix. My bill a couple days later I found out that there was a plan that would give me the data I needed for 50 dollars less a month on the website. How does no one at Verizon know there plans? Any ways, advice from me would be to spend time doing research online before you go in cause they are really just cashiers, not sales people. read more

I came to this store Friday March 3rd with a phone not able to charge . When I walked in the first person met me and took my identification. I didn't wait very long when James came over to assist me. He is such an asset to your office. He analyzed the situation, and took his time until he figured that my phone was inoperable. He worked and worked methodically transferring the 71 apps,. By then it was getting late, and I needed to leave before the job was completed. James made sure my phone was workable to receive and send calls, and I left, saying I would be back Sunday. I returned Sunday after church, and had to wait a little while, but wanted to have James assist me in finishing with my phone. He made me feel so comfortable and he worked a long time making sure my phone had everything transferred. Patient, understanding and amazing customer service skills, that is James. They are usually rude here. I have to come here often. For different reasons. I am in customer service myself as a Manager at Bank and I feel like the Manager here (I have spoken to him once or twice) he can do better when he himself addresses people. The last time I went in to return a broken charger the guy tried to exchange my same charger in new box w old one. I drove away and when my daughter opened she realized he placed used one in old box. When I drove back they were all calling him a rookie and it was like a joke. It wasn't to me. It's my time. I felt Like he did it intentionally to keep my new one. But whatever. I guess he didn't think we would notice. He had gotten the old one to work and perhaps thought we didn't need the new one. Unbelievable, Travis the manager lied to my wife and and I. He said he could lower my bill if I switch plans and if I add a line my bill would be the same as it is now. After I discovered that he was trying to sneak acceories on to my account by not revealing them as charges and trying to pass them off as perks or free accessories and he would just compensate me by backdating my account. All a lie. I came in 3 different times to ask about my bill and all 3 times he avoided talking to me sending his employees out with excuses every time. My bill is 60 dollars more and I have some Hum device that I told him I didn't want it, unless it lowered my bill. He lied right to my face. I have numerous whitness to prove it. read more
