Had the worst experience ever at this retailer so much so that being a customer after almost 15 years with them I switched to t-mobile so here is what happened... Me and my girlfriend about a year ago today went into a retailer to upgrade our old phones we both had galaxy 3s upon arrival we where approached by One of the sales reps who will remain nameless but he knows who he is....anyways he shows around and explains about new features with the new note 7's but at the time they where catching fire and not a very reliable phone to get so moving forward he showed us the brand new phones that Verizon had to offer the Motorola droid turbo 2 and Motorola Z Force instantly we loved our new phones while purchasing and moving forward with the phones he's was explaining to us about all the new products Verizon has to offer, he said we would be able to upgrade after one year after buying the phones and as long as we continue to make our payments we would qualify for this new program we where so excited about this went on our way with our new phones. So fast forward a year and me and my girlfriend end up hating the phones they had crazy battery issues and kept resetting over and over again so it was about to like to claim the offer that we where told we signed up for..we call Verizon and get ready to upgrade our phones and are told we have to either wait 2 years or payoff the phones which is the complete opposite of what we where explained about. We went on to explain to the store manager what was promised and like a broken record we where told the same thing over and over again like we love to waste our time with 0 results.. This was a huge slap in the face as it seems that Verizon gives 0 f**** about their customers and they can change programs on you at anytime and no one seems to remember what program your in and you're held responsible for the word of the agent after this experience I will never recommend Verizon to anyone nor will I ever recommend this location as well since both the sales rep and the manager have 0 accountability for any of their actions and only the consumer will pay... read more

Went in ready to switch from AT&T after 15+ years and upgrade my shattered iPhone 8 to an 11 while taking advantage of the buy one get one free + $200 per line that you port over. I was pressed for time and asked them how long it would take and they said about 30min. Unfortunately that turned into 2 hours. They helped me Determine the best unlimited package then said they were going to waive the activation but I'd need to order 2 bundles then they'd credit it back on the next two bills. Felt like a total bait and switch yet I was an hour late to a dinner commitment so I had to wrap it up and thought I'd deal with it later. Th me manager said to txt him and he'd take care of any changes. I texted him a day later and received nothing but crickets. We shall see if they pull through on their lofty promises. This review is about the great customer service this Verizon store provided. I had done my research online and new I was seriously considering an upgrade. When I went to see the phone, they obliged me in taking the sensor off so I may feel the phone in my hand. Alex was great at supplying information that could lower my bill with a bundle option. I chose not to, only because I did not need the hotspot. There was one miscommunication between the stores manager/employee to me about a specific promotion. This miscommunication was handled after a brief discussion, and little to none inconvenience for myself. I am still waiting on the second half of the solution, but I was affirmed that I will be taken care of as soon as possible. Everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. The only thing I did not enjoy about the store was how limited the accessories section was and the interior could use an update to fit a more modern customer service approach. (By the way, Amazon sells cases half the price and of similar quality in some products. Maybe scale the prices back.) Thank you Verizon and the Tustin District Store. read more

Not sure about other people but I had an awesome experience there. When I came in, some checked me in right away and said that it would take about 20 min wait. I didn't mind at all as I needed my matter to be resolved. About 15 min into the wait, I got a text stating that I'd be next. Then I saw a "Solution Manager" (not sure if that his true position or just a title for everyone working for Verizon there. He resolved my matter within minutes, without asking harassing questions! WARNING Be very careful what you sign and ask all the questions you can possibly think of when it comes to participating in the Edge program. It might work for some people, but after my husband went over the fine print, his head exploded. I don't want to malign anyone specifically so just be warned the Edge program has teeny fine print that you won't be told about or perhaps the sales associate either chooses to not disclose or may not know about. We were able to get the whole transaction reversed after a couple of tense hours and some family discord. If you're going to consider the Edge, do you homework. Ok let me start out by saying that I've been a Verizon customer for many years now. I've been to many of their store locations, and have had very smooth, pleasant transactions with every other branch. However, this branch treated me horribly. I walked in today because I purchased a new phone, and wanted to activate it and transfer my data from my old one. First of all, their employee that was supposed to be "helping" me wasn't "helping" me at all!!! He had a vapid look on his face, was not friendly at all, and basically didn't give a damn about providing good customer service. He was trying to charge me $20 to transfer my contacts, and on top of that he told me that I needed a data plan for an old phone that didn't require one. He had no idea what he was doing, nor did he care. I chose to leave the store after about three minutes of being in there since this obviously wasn't going anywhere. He made the transaction very difficult. Also, whoever hired this guy has some serious judgement issues!!! You're lucky to get ONE STAR from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're looking for a good Verizon store to take care of your business, go to the one at the spectrum. They've never let me down. Their employees know what they're doing. This location is perhaps the absolute worst location that I've been to in the OC. I do not frequent Verizon retail stores, but over the many years I've been a Verizon customer (10+), I worked with competent and almost-competent people that, at the least, projected an attitude that they knew what they were doing. This particular store tops them all with the worst sales reps, worst customer service, and overall worst consumer-buying experience... I won't write a novel to bore you with details, but I'll list 3 main reasons why you should avoid this particular store at all costs: 1. Customer Service Reps are highly INexperienced and it's apparent that there's no "teamwork" attitude (i.e. when a fellow colleague/rep cannot answer a customer's questions, another rep should step in and at least offer up some further guidance). 2. Management needs work. Visually, I could see employees standing around and not paying attention to the customers. Employees took their sweet time chatting and laughing with each other prior to ANY sort of communication with ANY customer. and 3. Customer Service Reps are disrespectful. I've been a Verizon customer for 10+ years now...and no, I do not feel that I deserve entitlements; but, I would appreciate if these same reps consulted me with less of a condescending attitude and more of a solution-seeking attitude. (Not to mention the apathetic colleague/rep that giggled at the girl who wasn't able to answer any of my questions, all while having a schoolgirl conversation with her work buddy). They get an "E" for effort. The store is very polished, spacious, new-looking, and well-organized. That's where the positives end. I was greeted at the door with a "Hello, welcome to Verizon!" A few minutes later, the same fellow came around with an iPad to take my name, my number, and the reason for my visit. He said there were 4 people ahead of me and that they'd get to me as soon as they could. I should have realized that translated to "never." I just had a few questions regarding my company-provided cell phone. I've experienced these pleasantries at T-Mobile and AT&T and as much as they're spun to be helpful, personal customer service -- these initial interactions are more to help manage demand for salespeople at the stores. (They likely have customers arrive in "spikes.") So I wandered around, looked at phones, compared Bluetooth headsets, etc. About 15 minutes later I realized I was out of time and there were still 2 people in the store ahead of me. I left without my questions answered, and with no small degree of irony was late to come back to work. Tip 1: This store likely has low reviews on Yelp for a reason. They may have made recent changes to improve, so it's possible you will have a better experience by the time you read this. Tip 2: Don't go to a store when a call to customer service will do. Stores are meant to sell to their local geographic region -- 800 numbers are meant to handle national demand and (hopefully) provide faster service. read more

Their service is terrible, they are not knowledgeable, and the manager there is even worse than his employees. My phone completely stopped working. Wouldn't turn on, nothing, dead, dead dead. Now I had bought the insurance for this phone at ten dollars a month, yah I know a clip job. I go into this store and meet the infamous phone douche working the counter. The guy try's to get my phone to turn on, seeing that it won't work he hands me back the phone and tells me to take the phone home and plug it into my computer and go to the blackberry web site and download the newest operating system. Like the technology absent old man that I am, I drag this broken phone home. I plug the phone into the computer and nothing. Of course the damn phone won't turn on, so how the hell is it going to download a new operating system. As I have to have the phone for work, I get back into the car and drive to another Verizon. The one in laguna niguel, a very nice young man there told me that there was no way the broken phone would work being plugged in to a computer would work. He told me that the guy at the other store obviously didn't know what the heck he was talking about. Wasted a whole day because of a total idiot that should not be employed by Verizon or any other company. Compared to the other Verizon Stores in Irvine ... the service here is sadly lacking. I've been a Verizon customer for 10+ years. Yes I've thought about switching but every time I try, Verizon ends up offering something I really like and at a better pricing and quality. Generally when I walk into a Verizon store I'm greeted and welcomed. I was going to check out new phones. I was up for my renewal (half been for 3 months now) and I'm waiting for a good smartphone to come out to compete with my original Droid Incredible. I was in the shop for over 20 minutes and no one came to help me. I was testing out new phones and some of them won't turn on because they weren't even plugged in. I had to stop someone just to ask them why the phone didn't power on. She pulled a plug out of another phone and plugged it into the one I was testing and then walked away. Are they cutting back on electricity here?? Anyhow as I was helping myself I noticed the reps kept on helping anyone that was elderly. Anyone that was young that walked in they blew them off. Then when I was about to leave with my daughter someone finally came over and asked me if I needed help. When I said I did, they got me someone who didn't know much about the phones. He just read off the specs off the list in front of the phone. Google could have given me more info. So I now know why this place gets really low ratings compared to all the other Verizon stores in the neighborhood. One of my best experiences with Verizon! For the first time didn't have to wait in line, place was neat and calm. Greeted very nicely at the door :) So my situation was that I had bought a phone off craigslist since my dads phone broke. we have a family plan of 3. I didn't notice that it had an unlock code so I couldn't even get into it. I tried 2 other verizon stores (irvine Spectrum & Tustin) but only this one completely helped me with my needs. Arthur is the man! He is very sweet and smart. He unlocked my phone and switched both my mom & dads phone numbers too and blue toothed all our contacts to the right phone (gave the prettier new one to my mom, gave my moms old phone to my dad) in less than 20 minutes! I thought that something like this would take an hour based on past experiences at other verizon stores. So I highly recommend this store! :) ask for Arthur! read more

I came into the store when it opened and no other customers were present to do a simple data transfer between an old, shattered phone and a new phone my sister, who works for Apple, handed down to me. In other words, and this is important, I was not there to buy new product. An engaging, employee by the name of Sharon C. greeted me right away and stayed with me throughout. The two-star rating I am giving doesn't reflect her excellent service. Sharon explained in a positive way that data transfer is no longer done in store as they are trying to teach customers to do it themselves. I asked her to assist me, as there was no one else in the store, and I am not a natural at tech. She encouraged me ​and went out of her way to help me go through the steps. She asked the manager to come over and help us through a prompt or two. He came over, took one look at my two phones on the table, and stated tersely, "No data transfer is done in store." "Yes, Sharon told me, but can I do it here with her help, since there is no one else in the store?" I said motioning to the cavernous, empty showroom. I don't remember if he even answered, but his body language and verbal communication thus far made it very clear that I was irrelevant to him. Sharon continued helping me, we only had a few more steps. She pulled up my number on her iPad, and this is where the manager's character was revealed. Sharon scrolled down through my husband's many business devices that are serviced by​ Verizon, which the manager saw. All of a sudden, I went from leper​ to dollar signs in this guys eyes. "Do you mind if I reach out to your husband? What number can I reach him at? I have some ideas for things we could do." He said. I was incredulous at how quickly his manner changed from completely dismissive, to helpful, if patronizing--when there was a potential commission in it for him. The thing is, I saw right through it. I discussed the incident with my husband later. We are both in front line customer service positions, and we both agree: When a human enters our place of business, we treat them great without exception, regardless of whether there is financial gain in it for us, and many times there isn't. It's good business to do so, and this is how we build our businesses. But more than that, it's being a decent human being. Manager, I hope you read this and see how you can make someone feel marginalized so easily. It would have been just as easy to treat me with dignity and respect BEFORE you knew of my husband's business accounts. I've gotta say, I just had one of the best customer service experiences ever. No exaggeration. I went into this Verizon store at the district with an iPhone that wasn't charging. Amal and Chase dug a mountain of lint out of the socket, and also showed me how to do a soft reboot, which fixed the problem of not being able to power up on a wireless charging pad. If they were unscrupulous, I would have been desperate enough to buy a new phone, but they fixed the problem, with smiles and jokes, in about 15 minutes. I can't say enough about how I appreciated it. read more

I dropped by this store because my 1 day old galaxy nexus had a defective screen. The screen had a 3mm thick dead black bar across the screen when seen in the dark. I called the store ahead to check if they had inventory of the same device, the person that answered the phone stated they did. I drive down to the store and demonstrated and replicated the defect of the screen and Adrian (one of the agents at the store) claimed I had to file a defective device warranty online because I purchased the device online. He gave me this mumbo jumbo about difference in logged data on their system inventory. He just didnt want to do anything for me because I didnt purchase at their store. Now if this was my first time having to return a new device that was defective I would have just gone home and filed a defective device warranty. Since I did have prior experience. I called verizon wireless and asked why this agent turned me away for a DOA claim. The guy I talked to over the phone, Charlie (verizon customer service/tech) was baffled at why Adrian at the verizon wireless store didnt take care of the warranty claim. Charlie then puts me on hold to call the verizon store in tustin legacy and let them know what they did wrong. I know this and Charlie knows this, if I buy a device on Verizon's website and it has a defect, a Verizon owned store is obligated to acknowledge defective device claims. Charlie comes back on the phone and tells me he straightened everything out and I can go back and they will replace my current defective device with a new one. So, now I am driving back to the verizon store. I get there and tell them that Charlie spoke to their guy and im here to get my phone replaced. The guy at the desk tells me to get checked in so that I can get service from one of their agents. Adrian just so happened to be at the check-in kiosk and I tell him (with my galaxy nexus box in hand) that i was back to get a new device replacement. This is where it gets fun! Adrian rolls his eyes and tells me, "they aren't supposed to do that", he then walks away with a disgusted face and a bit of frustration. I wait for about 5 minutes and my name gets called. An woman agent asks what im in for, i tell her im in for a defective device replacement. Adrian then tells the woman agent to "just file a DOA(dead on arrival) claim". The woman sales agent brings out a new device and activated it and took my old device and box and sent me on my way. If your at the Verizon Wireless store in the Tustin Legacy and you are not there to drop $300+ on a new phone, accessories or didnt purchase your device there, dont bother going here for any kind of service. Stay away from the Verizon Tustin at the District store! Today, I called directly to Verizon customer care concerning my billing for the Hum device because a $40 activation was reflecting on my monthly statement. The $40 activation was not mentioned by Monica Todd when I signed up in December 2015; moreover, when I tried to return the device within my 30 day period as told by Monica Todd ( which was false and denied by manager Dustin Walther), I again was told of no activation charges upon purchasing the Hum service. In fact, I was told by another associate in the store along with Dustin Walther that my $40 activation charge was going to be credited and removed thus nothing to worry about. Wrong! Verizon today, 1/25, told me that it is required . As a courtesy, I requested credit due to the hassle with the store and they honored my customer satisfaction. Below is an email I sent to a "mike grimes" store manager and supervisor to the manager Dustin Walther at the Tustin District. Due to Dustin Walther denied the return of my Hum device, I requested his supervisor's contact and promised I was going to not let this nightmare experience go unaddressed. My email was never answer or followed up by anyone from the store. The email below explains everything..... "Hum service return - customer complaint - Mr. Grimes, I wish to escalate an issue involving the return of a Hum service device, and lack of customer care. I purchased a Hum device on Dec 21, 20015. At the time of sale, I was assured by Monica Todd that the device and service can be return if not satisfied within 30 days. I contacted the Tustin store by phone on Jan. 16, and was told the device is returnable within 14 days, not 30 days. Moreover, the associate advised that holiday purchases have a Jan. 15 deadline. I was then told that Monica Todd would be available on Sunday, 1/17, to discuss the misunderstanding further. Today, 1/17, I spoke in person with your manager, Dustin Walther, who denied the return based on the 14 day policy and the holiday return deadline; not to mention Ms. Todd was not working today as told. I explained that I was advised, by Ms. Todd, that I would have 30 days if I wanted to return the device not 14 days. He continued by saying I can come back to the store on Monday to speak with her concerning the sales conversation; and that his answer was "no" on the return. As a customer, the time and misunderstanding is unfavorable and regrettable. I was told a different return policy than what your manager is advising to me. This experience is not what I pay for or expect as a Verizon customer. I am expecting to return the Hum service. I do not wish to continue this unfair and deceptive sale and customer experience any further. I hope this issue can be resolved without further action and complaints with Verizon, consumer reports, Yelp, and the BBB as well as your executive level managers. Thanks for your attention in this matter and look forward to your timely response." Pretty straight forward email, right? Never got a response. Although I have three new lines with Verizon including the Hum, Im compelled to complete my contracts up to the point it makes sense to possibly switch carriers. However, I cannot deny Verizon reliability is the best. The service I received over the phone with corporate was great as well. Guess my best advice would be to deal direct with Verizon via their website and corporate customer service. I implore anyone to do anything, go anywhere but the Tustin at the District store. Try the Verizon store in Irvine off Jamboree or drive a hundred miles to any other store to avoid these people at the District store . This is a low key Verizon store at the Tustin District. I was here to pick up my shiny new iPhone. I really liked the staff; they were really friendly and very efficient in getting through the line. It literally only took me a half hour to get my phone (very exciting considering I thought I was going to wait hours!!!). I would say the one of the few cons was that they tried to sell me on something like every ten seconds... I just want my iPhone, dammit! I live a love/ annoyance relationship with my Blackberry Storm - love the service, hate the hardware. When I can't take the hardware's obstinate nature, I stop in at the Verizon Wireless in the District for some phone therapy. So far, the sessions are helpful with easy fixes (e.g. get a new a battery if yours is fat and can spin around on its belly, update the software, etc.). As such, I'll stick with and work it out with my BB because having reliable service is something you can live with. read more

We made an appointment and this made the process much quicker. We were greeted at the door by Nagauma, the General Manager, who was wearing a mask and was very helpful and friendly. He connected us with Alan who delivered THE BEST customer service EVER in the history of Verizon stores. My husband and I dreaded going to Verizon get a new phone because we have had terrible luck at other locations, but, luckily, we went to Verizon in The District and Alan made it so easy. Alan was incredible! He helped us find the perfect phone, phone case and other accessories that are very useful. My father was in the hospital for months, totally forgetting about the giftcard. The giftcard expired 3 days ago and verizon bor the giftcard company will reissue the remaining balance. Such a joke. This is the only Verizon that I will bring my business to. I have purchased several phones and tablets this year for my family. The sales associates are always very helpful, the store is smaller so they are not AS staffed as some of the others but I've never had a problem with speedy service and low wait times. I had a MAJOR issue getting my new iPhone 6s Plus a few months back...but I came in to this location and the manager did everything he could to remedy my problems and get me my new phone within 24 hours. Verizon corporate customer service had made a huge mixup, and I was PISSED. Walked into the store Saturday afternoon at around 2 (March 5th, 2016) & was greeted as soon as we stepped foot into the doorway!! (First indicator of what our service would be like) the guy that first helped us set us up immediately with the sales (analyst?? I think that's what his name tag said) Vernon. As we waited for Vernon to bring us the new phone after talking over the plans, the manager came out & gave everyone in the store a cold water bottle from the back (Very impressive since it was a hot day & we were definitely feelin the heat) Vernon was amazing! He showed us two different plans & was attentive to all of our questions. My dad & I usually ramble but he patiently listened to us banter the whole time & even playfully chimed in at times! He was a kind person & really seemed to care about us getting the best deal & not just making commission off of our sale. We haven't had really good service at this store in the past so my dad didn't want to go. But it happens to be the closest one so we just went & we're really happy that we did!! I saw other customers being approached & asked if they needed help. Everyone on staff seemed to be working very hard & when Taylor swift came on, one playfully sang while typing on a computer. The atmosphere is fun, the staff is great, & the service is phenomenal! I'd definitely recommend coming back to this store if you've been before (& weren't satisfied) because everything has improved. Side note: as we were leaving, my dad approached the manager & told him what a great job Vernon had done. He was very proud & happy that we had been satisfied & I think that's a reflection on what kind of manager he is. Do NOT go there! Went to this store last Nov. Me and my wife got a "trade your old phone and get $300 off" deal to move to Verizon. They also introduced a plan for small business which best start with 5+ lines and they can transfer our $300*2 credit to new business lines. I brought two employees and my wife to the store on Dec. They started a business line (4 phones and 1 tracker) for us and told us our $600 credit has been transferred to business. "All set". We thought we are in a 5-lines, $45 each / month plan. In fact, my two lines had never been transferred to business because we need to sign extra papers to give up $600 credit first. This credit cannot be transferred from a regular line to business line. Those store guys just didn't know that. I went to the store many times, they said it was their mistake, but they can do nothing about it. The store guys said, "Call Verizon is the only way". I called Verizon more than 20 times. One of the CS even said, "you signed the paper to open the business account, it is your mistake." They told me "go to the store, they might be able to give you the credit, that is the only way". One of Verizon's local sales called me and gave me the store manager's personal number. I called many times, but no one answers. In the end, we gave up $600 and transfer to our business account. Then we found that they've added an unknown line to our account which cost us $100+ already and mischarged some other fees as well. First bill cost $675, which should be no more than $300. I called Verizon for another 4 hours to correct it. I didn't make any mistake but lost $600 and at least 24 hours. They made all the mistakes, but they just need to say, "sorry but I can do nothing." I just purchased and activated my new iPhone 7 here and received such great service that I had to leave this comment. We were there on Black Friday, the sales guy named Steve stayed with us past closing time just to make sure the phone was working well (took some time to back up my old phone). This was after a full day, and no doubt plenty of overtime on a very busy Black Friday. Steve was awesome, he went way above and beyond for customer service. Everyone here was very courteous and friendly. While we were waiting for our name to be called (they were very busy), the staff offered us water and explained to us their Black Friday sales and promotions. The great customer service at this store is why I will stay with Verizon. read more
