I'm not sure why this location has several bad reviews. I went yesterday, on Mother's Day, to get a new computer and printer, and everyone was super helpful and attentive. I needed a very basic all in one computer and 3 in 1 printer. As soon as I arrived I was immediately greeted by the lovely Matthew who was wearing an HP badge and said "I'm The Printer Guy but I'm also a huge nerd so I can help you!". And he did. 30 min later I walked out with exactly what I needed. No upsell, no pushing extras, just a very affordable all in one to serve my at home needs. Issac, the cashier was also super helpful and friendly, he went to the back to locate the model I needed. So I'm not sure why all the hate. These reviews almost scared me away, I'm glad I went anyway. Don't be worried, my experience was 10/10. read more

We ordered 2 wine refrigerators 3 weeks ago that were due for delivery on May 11. I received a call today from someone who clearly has no idea what customer service is and they told me they me delivery I was expecting in 2 days was being pushed out 2 weeks because the manufacturer just shipped the unit. So we are getting one refrigerator on Monday and the other one in 2 weeks.... They of course had no idea what went wrong or why they are telling me about this 48 hours before I am getting f my complete delivery. The worst part is they clearly don't care because they have no idea what customer service means and it's truly very unfortunate because they don't know how to take care and support their customers. Who knew high performance laptops would be such a pain in the butt to find a AC adapter/charger for?! I went out of town and forgot both my charger and docking station at home. The only computer store I could find in the high desert was a Best Buy. I looked up the wattage I needed and figured 100W would be fine. Well, 100W was not enough for a high performance laptop like the Dell Precision 5690. The 100W got me through the day, however, I kept getting messages from my laptop power couldn't be optimized. A few weeks later, I found the boxed charger in my trunk and had forgotten to return or exchange. I decided to go to my local Best Buy in Costa Mesa to see if anything could be done. George in customer care and was so upbeat and friendly. I explained my situation and he carefully reviewed the package. He was curious to see what I was running since it seemed 100W would work on just about any laptop. He chuckled when I told him. I guess the man knew a little about laptops lol I SO appreciate his help as not only did he resolve my unfortunate situation, but did it with such care and style. I've purchased most of my electronics from Best Buy (last purchase was a nice 65in OLED LG tv which had great value with beautiful picture and sound). I will continue to do all my electronics shopping here because the customer service is second to none. Shout out to you, George. Thanks again! I don't know how I would accurately rate this store. I bought a Lenovo Yoga laptop through the Irvine store, and since they didn't have any in stock, I was sent to this location to pick it up. Pickup was smooth. Then to Geek Squad. Had good help from agents at front desks, Isaiic (?). Next day, when I came to pick up my computer, I had good help from Csy for a little while, then he left. Luis stepped in and he was very great and helping with all the issues with Microsoft. Luis was very patient and worked with me to resolve all issues. Got my laptop and came home to find out the laptop had no sound, whatsoever. I went through the Settings, fiddling around for 3 hours until midnight and still unable to fix the sound problem. Brought it back to Geek Squad Irvine/Lake Forest and they couldn't fix it either. Was told later that it's the laptop that was the issue and to return it! Then we had Angel order another one. Went and picked it up at the Mission Viejo store and brought it back to Irvine for Geek Squad to set it up. Lots of work and time involved. Not sure if it's really the laptop or Geek Squad installation agent's issue? But the GS agents at the front desk of this location are helpful though. read more

It's your very standard Best Buy, located nearby South Coast Plaza. I was looking to purchase a camera, but the original location didn't have it, so they placed a pick up order for this location. This location has a huge parking lot, that doesn't get too busy, so parking is super easy. The pick up area is small, and it looked a little unorganized. The person who helped us looked a bit lost, even when we provided him with the receipt and name for the pick up. It took a bit of time, but we were able to pick up our items. Still really friendly service. Side note, Best Buy tends to have pretty good deals similar to those online, and if you're someone like me who wants to physically pick up the item, they're a really great option! read more

Really misleading AT&T sales team. They told me "AT&T will give you Visa pre-paid cards to pay off the balance on your Verizon phones if you switch to AT&T." What they didn't tell me was that it takes 10 weeks to receive the Visa cards after you switch. My remaining $3,500 balance to Verizon is due 30 days after switching. So it isn't actually possible to use the AT&T Visa card to pay off my balance. I have to front the $3,500 and still wait for AT&T to deliver the cards. I guess I can use them for groceries then? read more

If I could give Best Buy minus 20 stars, I would. My husband bought me a camera for Mother's Day for my work, and I was so excited to open it. The box felt unusually light, so I simply opened it to make sure the camera was actually inside. I never used it. The very next day, I found the exact same camera online for significantly less money -- and it even included batteries, stands, a carrying bag, and about 15 additional accessories. I went back to the Best Buy in Costa Mesa and asked if they would match the price and include the accessories so I could keep the purchase with them. They refused. Not only would they not work with me, they charged me a $300 restocking fee on an UNUSED camera purchased the day before. Absolutely unbelievable. The manager's attitude was dismissive, rude, and completely unhelpful. Customer service at this location is a disgrace. I'm now looking into filing in small claims court because this felt like a complete bait-and-switch situation. Buyer beware -- shop anywhere else but Best Buy in California. THE WORST! read more

My husband and I purchased a high end $1,400+ Bosch dishwasher from them (order number xxx 250197) and within a few months (Under Warranty) it broke and the rack fell on my daughter's arm and hurt her, as we were loading it together because the back clip piece just randomly broke making it unusable. Oh and the side of the handle randomly came off under warranty as well. The Bosch tech came out and said yes the clip issue a known problem and they would be in contact me when the part became available because he didn't have the part to fix it. This was months ago. I've been chasing them for help since November 2025 and the refuse to uphold their warranty. Every time IC all, Bosch keeps saying they will call me when the part becomes available but they never do for 4+ months. I'm a working mom of kids and have had to spend 10+ hours of my life chasing them to make this right and they do not care. I will never buy another Bosch dishwasher again and will make sure all of my friends and clients know about this as well. Not sure why this stores ratings are low, for us the experience of buys new kitchen stove was very good. Review Update: The review below was for the purchase of our stove. What I am adding is their very poor delivery service. First we were given the wrong delivery date. Paperwork stated 2 different dates so we were confused and waited. When they did deliver they measured the door ways to see how wide they were and then stated they were not able to bring it in because it was too wide. Now talk about lazyness, they just didn't want to bring it in by opening the box. Oh by the way was smashed and resulted in the stove being dented. I had to move the stove in myself and took it out of the box and it fit just fine. Called them to explain and they are brining out a new one, free installation and taking the dented version back. Should have never been this way. We looked around first before starting to ask questions. The young lady in the appliance department was very helpful in explaining all of the oven features and options. We got what we wanted and the stove top color and we're very pleased with the cost. Sorry Samsung, your items are nice but they suck and break down too much and your repairmen suck even worse. So we got a model and gets delivered this week. read more

For the last several years I have gone to the Westminster mall location for replacing my Zagg invisible shield glass screen protector, which has a lifetime warranty and free replacement guaranteed on the packaging. Today I decided to go to this location and the employee named Alex I believe told me that the installation would cost $7 and that it's been that way for years and I had been getting it for free up until this point as a courtesy but that I was supposed to have been charged this whole time. This is entirely inaccurate information as the product is offered in partnership with Best Buy. But because of his insistence that I pay for the installation that is supposed to be included with the product as part of the "Buy Here Replace Here" program, I had to inconveniently make two separate Best Buy trips and waste extra time. I was able to confirm with the Westminster Mall Geek Squad that there should be no charges for installing this product. I hope they can educate the employees on this for the future. I paid $1,900 in cash for an unlocked phone at this store. Only three days later, I returned to bring it back. That's when I was told I could not get my refund in cash, but only by check. This was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase. If it had been, I would have reconsidered paying in cash. Instead, I was misled. When I questioned this, the store manager claimed all employees tell customers about this policy -- which was absolutely false in my case. Being lied to on top of being denied my cash back is completely unacceptable. I was depending on that money, and this delay caused me unnecessary stress. The way I was treated made me feel dismissed, disrespected, and possibly discriminated against. For a company of this size, customers spending nearly $2,000 should not be treated this way. I expect corporate to address this issue immediately. Refund policies must be explained up front, and managers should be held accountable when they misrepresent the truth. What happened to me was unfair and has destroyed my trust in this company. read more

Nope, only for one or the other. We found one for the car, but not to plug into the wall. It took a team to help me out at the Best Buy Costa Mesa. I worked with Erik, Michael, Vanessa, Alex, and Leilani, each of them with their own ways of helping out, some helping out better than others. I got hooked up really fast, a little too fast with the iPhone 16. This was connected by Erik. Erik was so knowledgeable and fast however he talked way too fast!!! I mean, I could barely keep up, he was extremely quick. However, he just seemed so tired, leaning all over the desks while helping me out, waiting for the next prompts on the computer screen. Erik went so fast when it was time to take the next step in my transaction that he accidentally ended up cutting the service to my current phone when information was needed later to set up my new phone, it wasn't that big of a deal, but he needs to slow down, I get that the store is busy, but that's how mistakes are made. Erik ended up leaving Michael with this problem because he had to go on break. Michael helped finish up the transaction, Michael was upbeat and Awesome, cool guy. Micheal helped me pick the right Apple watch series 10 to go along with my iPhone 16, good job Michael, great customer service. Vanessa also chimed in to help Michael with questions that he had. Vanessa looked super dead in the eyes no personality, but she knew her stuff, extremely knowledgeable gal. When I came back to pick up my watch on Wednesday as the Apple Watch had to be ordered, I was handed off to Alex, as the cashier associate who was working with me had no idea what was going on. I actually ended up getting denied a second line for my Apple Watch (no specific reason, I was told that it happened sometimes). I was handed off to Alex, who basically was staring at the computer screen with no communication whatsoever. I stood there for like a couple of minutes wondering if he was going to say anything to me about the situation. He was also looking around every so often at everyone else while trying to concentrate on my situation which was not too cool. Alex had absolutely zero smiles and he was dead in the eyes. Leilani then took over to activate my watch and create a new line for me. Leilani was extremely serious, without any smile and minimal personality whatsoever, she got me in and out with a new line, and I was able to set my Apple Watch up. Leilani knew her stuff, very knowledgeable gal very straightforward no frills. As I was waiting there with Leilani, there were a couple of Best Buy associates (I'm assuming have been clocked out) having a conversation so loud I could barely hear Leilani give me the information I needed. At one point one of the associates, even looked at me and laughed in my face, as if I give a crap about their conversation. I'm just trying to figure out how to get this Apple Watch going so I can continue my day lady! You get what you want here you get the fast paced service but as far as customer service, these people have basically no personality. These Best Buy Associates probably see so many people, helping them in and out of the store, that you can tell they're completely over their job even though they know so much! The customer service here ranges, and the products work great, so far so good. I am very happy with my iPhone and my Apple watch and it saved me time from going to the Apple Store and Verizon so good job on that end Best Buy Costa Mesa! read more

I very rarely write reviews, but I hope this helps prevent others from being taken advantage of. I would strongly caution against bringing your phone to Best Buy for repair, especially if it's still under warranty. I brought in my iPhone, which had no visible damage, just a screen that wasn't responding. Victor inspected the phone and initially told me everything looked good and that it should be covered under the first-year Apple warranty. He then took it to the back, which is not video-monitored according to the manager, and when it was returned, there was suddenly a small scratch on the back of the phone that hadn't been there before. At that point, Victor changed his stance and said the repair would no longer be covered under warranty due to the scratch, and that I would now need to pay $650 out of pocket. I spoke with the store manager, who offered no help or resolution. I left feeling confused and honestly dumbfounded. Thankfully, I went straight to the Apple Store, where they examined the phone and repaired it within 2 hours at no charge. Please be warned, if your iPhone is under warranty, go directly to Apple. read more
