The one star reviews are right. I went in to see how I can lower my bill because it's getting high, and the lady that helped me was zero help. She looked at my account and said there was nothing I could do, met with me for 2 minutes even though I was there with an appointment to come in. I said I guess I'll just price match with competitors and see if they have better deals, and she just shrugged her shoulders. I've been a customer for 20 years, but they couldn't care less. After my appointment I just went home and looked at my account myself. I saw there is a teacher discount I never knew about and got that, also was able to remove some things I didn't need. Brought my bill down $50 a month. I'm still looking at other providers because going to Verizon to get help is impossible now, their workers are terrible. Do better Upland Verizon, hire people that can at least pretend to care. read more

Worst customer service and super deceptive! I came in to turn in my old phone that was damaged so I can get the credit. I had already bought a new phone. As soon as I went to the agent assigned to me, she asked me to log in with my address?! Wtf?! Thinking it was needed for the return of my phone, I complied. She then asked me, "Do you know who is your internet provider?" I told her yes then stated who I use. She then asked me if I wanted to talk about Verizon Internet services?! I said we are not doing that today. I'm returning my phone and I have two kids here and they're unmanageable after a certain amount of time so absolutely not. She then became rude snappy and silent. I looked at her and said "I understand this is part of your job. I just don't wanna be sales pitched right now" she stayed silent. She is the worst customer service representative I have ever experienced. I have been a customer of Verizon for 25 years I understand that these places are usually franchised. I've been a great client of AT&T for over 25 years. Guilty as charged, I am a creature of habit BUT it doesn't seem like loyalty is rewarded anymore nowadays. I started off shopping online on the Verizon website, but I had 1 million questions that the website didn't provide me. I then decided to visit the store in Upland. I didn't realize at that time that it will turn out to be the wisest thing I've ever done when it comes to cellular service. I was greeted by Angel, professionally and without judgment. He presented me a variety of options. He was very patient with all of my questions. I did not feel any pressure at all. Neither did I feel that they were upselling me. 5 lines were ported smoothly from ATT. We are now taking advantage of the Verizon network and we are very pleased with their customer service. A shout out to Angel for going above and beyond to help us out. Your hardwork and patience are highly appreciated. I wouldn't recommend Verizon itself, but good experience with Diego in the store. The gal over the phone had disconnected my line and told me to wait for a box in the mail to send it in and then to go into Verizon corporate if it didn't come. Came in after the 3-5 days and turns out they hadn't even started the return or closed down the line. Husband and I have been thinking to switch for quite some time and this might be the final push! But nice clean, upscale Verizon store, super pleased with service and though it took 10-15 minutes which was much longer than the quick drop off I expected, that's pretty great service for dropping in on a Saturday! read more

Worst customer service at this store! we ordered phones online and had them shipped here and when we came to pick them up we found out this store went into the system and canceled our order to sell our phones to someone else! Worst customer service! My brand new phone broke and two associates from this location failed to give my husband the tracking number and all the information that we needed. The first associate on day one told my husband that the phone would be delivered the following day. When the phone was not delivered we went to the store to inquire about it. The second associate said that because the phone was ordered after two then it wouldn't be delivered until the following day. She asked if we had the tracking number and we told her no. She said it would have been sent to the phone that needs to be replaced. Phone is broken, the data turns pink, can't do anything with it. My husband had to get the tracking number from the second associate. The following day we get text that the phone was going to be delivered my husband looked up the tracking number and he quickly read the phone would need to be signed for. Unfortunately we couldn't get the phone because both of us were working. We missed the delivery so I quickly called this location as I was upset because my phone is my second blood line now and Mario told me he wasn't going to help me and he hung the phone up on me. I hoped in my car and got a phone call back from him minutes later, no apology for the disconnect so I knew it was intentional. I told him I was head over there and that I wanted the corporate phone number and his area manager. He told me again he wasn't going to help me. I did show up at the store as Mario and two female associates were waiting for me at a table. These employees were not waiting to help me, they were waiting to intimidate me. I then asked again for the corporate number and area manager which he refused again. Finally I got a number but it wasn't a corporate number but it was a third world customer service number. Mario and his associates need to learn to de escalate situations wth customers when they arise. They need to communicate better with details to better serve the customer. I have posted this on social media in the Rancho Cucamonga News Group with over thirty thousand members and it appears this isn't this stores first terrible incident. I hope this reaches the right Verizon personnel so they can better train their employees in customer service as this was the worst experience I have ever experienced in my lifetime. This store has terrible customer service. We came in for a simple problem that probably would have taken them about 5min to do. I guess if they don't have you down to purchase a new phone you wait forever while the 4 employees scroll on their phones and talk about jewelry with each other. The 4 employees could have helped the three of us that were sitting and waiting but they chose not to. It was terrible. We walked out and will take our business elsewhere. They also potentially lost out on us purchasing two new phones, as we do need new ones but I'm glad we didn't give them our business. Do better and help your customers. read more

Last Friday my sister and I went in to this Verizon store location in the Colonies, near Albertson's, for her to upgrade to a new iPhone 16. she was fortunate to have Gary as the Verizon representative to assist her with this process. Gary was extremely professional, kind, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. If everyone in the Verizon corporation was as nice, courteous and knowledgeable as Gary then they would be as profitable as Amazon. He is absolutely the best! The manager of the store on duty last Friday was extremely nice and helpful also, unfortunately I did not get his name but he was very nice and proactive and helping to resolve any issues that came up. read more

Terrible customer service. I had to activate new iPhone and my sim was locked. Sales person helped me unlock it from my main account; however, told me it would take 24-48 hours to active my new phone. I was planing on buying a new iwatch 10 and activate both, yet she said I had to wait up to 48 hours. Lost out on sales of new IWatch for being Terrible sales gal. Verizon only puts a 15 minute hold to unlock. (No training or didn't listen and would not call customer support with me). I figured all myself at home. I went in tonight to buy a new screen protector & the male employee (I didn't catch his name) was dealing with an irrational customer. The employee was trying his hardest to fix whatever the issue was and he was the only employee working. He kept cool & did the best he could. I recently transferred my cell phone service to Verizon. It has been a surprisingly positive experience. I was impressed with the patience and professionalism of the representatives that I worked with online but the most positive experience I had in making the change was the customer service from Candice, the representative in the store. Candice was so informative that I learned much about the new phone. This is invaluable to me because I'm switching from Adroid to the Iphone AND I'm a senior. She was patient, answered all of my questions and made the experience actually positive. That is saying a lot for a cell phone setup. I talked to an employee named Lee and he was very rude. I asked this employee to check my account about my internet services and he told me there is nothing to check. The employee tried to explain the services without trying to understand my question and without checking my account. Lee just did not want to work or understand the customers. I went to inquire about phones I ordered, and found out the order was cancelled. The manager of the store did not want to check or find out why the order was cancelled and suggested I call customer service. When I expressed my annoyance, he was even more dismissive. If you work in customer service, you can expect people to walk in frustrated or annoyed, and you would think there would be an attempted to help or try to solve the matter. I have worked with this staff on a couple of occasions and I could say this is by far the laziest and rudest staff I have encountered at Verizon. If they don't want to work or help customers then close the store or hire people who are willing to work and try to problem solve. I am not someone who screams or gets irate but I do expect some type of willingness to help. The manager should consider finding employment elsewhere since he's obviously deeply unhappy and does not want to manage or work for that matter. Went today to update phone plan after talking with a nice lady willing to help the other day named Candice, unfortunately her manager today told me what she was doing she supposedly isn't supposed to be doing and we need to call in to Verizon? I hate Verizon. Absolutely hate them. They're thieves and will make excuses upon excuses why you own them more and more money! The only reason we have their service is because it's the one service that works at our house. My husband and I recently went there to buy him a new phone. The salesgirl said, "the only way this new phone will work on your plan is if you upgrade to 5G with Unlimited." She said it would only be a couple more dollars a month. We don't use the data we have. Why do we need unlimited?! Fine. Not happy, but fine. We went home. Within a few minutes, my phone was disconnected and his phone wasn't receiving data... and because of this, we couldn't call them. We had to drive all the way back to the store for them to tell us that we had to restart the phones. That would have been helpful information to give us before we drove away the first time. The manager came over and spoke to us like children and completely belittled us... then walked away. I actually looked at him like "are you flipping kidding me right now?!" Our bill arrived two days ago. "A couple more dollars" = $131... nearly double what we pay monthly! Our plan went from $154 to $285. So when I saw the bill, I called and asked why it went up and what do we have to do to keep my husband's phone working. Read this carefully... they said "nothing"! I gave this store 5 stars because they offered exceptional customer services. Recently relocated to SoCal, I decided to give Verizon a try after so many years with AT&T. I had a difficult time transferring my phone number from AT&T and was at risk of losing my phone number. The staff here however went above and beyond (i.e. stay late after close-time) and tried very hard to help me get my number ported. Eventually I got my number back and was able to trade in my brother's iPhone to the new iPhone 14 for myself. I can't wait till I have my device. Not the first time I've had issues with Verizon, at this point I think it's the absolute worst cellular option that's out there. I transferred my account and added on to my fiancés. At this time I paid my account in full, at this store location. After the account was closed Verizon continued charging my old account. I never received any bill of any kind after the initial transfer. A couple months after I noticed my credit report dropping 100 POINTS! They sent me to collections on a bogus bill with NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER! The icing on the cake is I still have a current account that I've been paying in the whole time! PSA: Did you know that Christian the manager or likely one of the managers of the Verizonwirelss store at 1118 19th St, #221, Upland CA 91786 will have security call the police on you if you simply need them to verify the receipt they gave you proving you did what they asked you to do. I admit I did raise my voice, I did not yell I simply projected a loud voice when he told me that I needed an appointment to get help. I calmly told him that corporate told me to come in tonight and that I would be helped as all they needed to do was verify the receipt they gave me. He refused and when I said I would wait in the store he called in security and had them ask me to leave. When I again refused to leave, meanwhile I was calling corporate again to let them know I was in the store, the security officer called Upland PD. The officers were very nice, the store refused to help. The store was happy to take my late father-in-laws money when we purchased him a new phone and when my father-in-law passed and I turned the phone in to clear a balance due they took it in with a less than helpful posture but assured me that it was resolved and a refund would be issed. Corporate can not help I learned this after an hour on the phone with them, the store who sold and took possession of the phone refused to help, and asked for me to be arrested for trespassing because I was not a customer. Christian refused to answer the phone when corporate called him to ask him to look at the 3 page receipt his store provided to me. In the mean time a young (collage age) person came in to get help with their phone said they received a text telling them to come back in, was told it would be another hour that there were still 9 people ahead of them. They said there were 9 people ahead of them an hour ago and Christian said yea its been one of those days we are busy. Here is the PSA get out of Verizon wireless as quickly as you can, don't look back, and know if you stay with them that corporate and the stores do not work together. They kicked my parents out over THEIR MISTAKE. It's clear from the reviews whoever is the manager should be fired as they can not handle how to deal with situations their employees cause. Essentially my parents went in and waited 15 minutes to be helped, then a plus sized man or women employee (my apologizes I couldn't tell, the description is so they know what employee this was) didn't tell them they would need an appointment to be helped, after they waited. That employee did not acknowledge them or anything. They were snarky and extremely rude.
