This is awhile ago (Aug 2024) and I should have done review right away since staff may have changed, but such an awful experience. Was told the old cracked phone I was trading in for new Iphone was reported stolen awhile ago (so why didn't Verizon notify me???) and they could not process new transaction. Manager and staff guy were so frustrating - I was in the store over 3 hours with no progress. Long story short - I was charged TWICE for a new Iphone - staff at the store told me to take it up with Verizon Customer Service -= and I could never get a live person there to talk to me -- and when I emailed or did live chat, it was just AI auto-messages responding back -- and they would not fix the double charge. Anyway, so I ended up disputing charge on my credit card bill. Nightmare. read more

I went in to replace my screen protector and buy a new phone case. After 15 minutes in line I learned they barely had any phone cases (and none at all for an iPhone 15). They did have screen protectors, but in the middle of replacing mine, the employee had to step away to help other customers because of how busy they were. Overall the staff was kind and helpful, but the store is too small and has too few employees for an area with this much foot traffic. If you plan on buying or upgrading your phone and have a lot of time, then this isn't a problem. But if you just need to buy a quick product, I'd go somewhere else. read more

I've been here a couple times and would recommend that you go to another store. My most recent visit I went in to get my new phone and they charged me for activation of it, but we really couldn't do anything with my prior phone not working. After 30 seconds of starting the process I said that I would just activate it on my own at home. I asked for a refund (because they charged before offering help and we literally only had turned on the phone) and "Prince" came out from the back shouting/fighting with staff and then proclaiming "we dont do refunds". I've been to other verizon locations where folks are actually helpful, kind, and sincere - this has not been that location for me. So yeah, they charged me $30 to turn on a phone and Prince was incredibly rude to me and other staff. read more

I entered the establishment around 1:18 on a Sunday. I wasn't asked any information until 1:45. Other customers were helped before me even though I was here before them. I was trying to update my cellphone. And was overlooked several times. I was finally helped and ultimately turned away because the issue I needed to resolve was a call in matter. Although, the beginning of my visit wasn't the best, they def made up for it by getting me to the help that I needed. I wish all the employees treated the customer service like the employee that resolved my issue. read more

I went into this store with very high expectations, and I left feeling the service had been excellent. However, today (approx 20 days later) AT&T informed me that Johnny, from Verizon, failed to correctly port my Apple Watch number from AT&T. Today I received a bill from AT&T for that watch, and since the other numbers ported correctly there were multiple charges. Since I am in the next billing cycle, I now have 2 bills from AT&T for my Apple Watch (which would not have happened if the number had been correctly ported). Verizon Corporate was able to help slightly, but this shouldn't have been required in the first place. (I'll take some responsibility for not double checking, but when told everything was done correctly I made the mistake of believing it.) Bottom Line, if you go into this store, even if they tell you something is complete be sure to double check so that you don't end up with an incorrectly ported number. read more

Finally, a Verizon Store that gives you the customer service you deserve! This is the fifth Verizon Store that I have visited within the past couple of months. Most of the previous locations that I've been to have been awful, so I boycott them on principle. I came in during my lunch to get information about possibly upgrading my plan. The shop was empty, so there were several representatives available. I went with the first employee who stood up and greeted me. He answered all of my questions, gave me plan comparisons and bottom-line prices, and even recommended a plan that wasn't heavily advertised but ended up being the best fit for me. The other reps that were around also chimed in with additional pros and cons. As sales reps, they did their job. They convinced me, provided great customer service, and I changed my plan then and there. Quick and painless! Best Verizon Store experience that I have had, by far. Now that I have a phone plan that I am satisfied with, I don't anticipate having to frequent Verizon Stores anymore, but if I do, this will be my first stop. I highly recommend this 14th Street location. read more

do not go here unless you want to be scammed. we walked in to discuss our upgrade options. We were told that we needed to upgrade our plan otherwise we'd have to pay for the phone outright. It would only be $10 a month. Plus $700 off the phone (which is retail valued at $800) so $100 to pay over 36 months. So we're thinking okay we're paying $10 more Plus $2.7 per phone Which also includes Hulu espn and Disney + We think - great deal. The rep shows us the phone Options and tries to sell us on upgrading GB. We decline. We sit down. She tells us "included is a screen protector that offers you life time warranty." We say great! and then she proceeds to offer us other products. We decline chargers. She then says "go pick out your case." We say "we don't need a case, we'll just buy it on Amazon." she says "why would you do that when you can get 30% off here, because when you have three accessories.." "What other accessories do we have?" "the screen protector." "Wait we thought this was included." "It's $50 but gives you life time warranty." So now shes already put the screen protector on the phone that we thought was free. So, while annoyed we think - okay lifetime warranty, fine. we decide okay let's look at the cases, 30% off gets us a similar price on Amazon. We go to pay the bill. There are 4 charges we had no idea about. An upgrade fee. $35 per phone. and a service fee of $29 Per phone. When we asked what they were for, we were told that there's always an upgrade fee. that's just common knowledge, they imply. When asked about the service fee. she says it's for service in turning on the new phone and putting on the screen protector, again the product we thought was included in our package. as she's "servicing" our phone. She turns to her manager and says "I don't want to work Saturdays anymore." - implying that saturdays suck. We the Customers are standing there on a Saturday listening To her complain about working. so my husband and I are pissed and uncomfortable but we're just accepting the reality when I ask to use the restroom. I'm 37 weeks pregnant. The sales rep says "oh it's policy, we can't. Sometimes we make exceptions for kids but we can't." so I ask the manager and she says it's policy and refuses me the right to use the restroom. We leave feeling awful. Totally scammed, confused and annoyed. we wake up this morning to find an additional $34 PER MONTH (two phones) in insurance that we didn't know about. Weren't told about, at all. So while it's policy to not let a 37 week pregnant women use a bathroom. they are completely okay with a policy that doesn't tell us about 1. Service fees $29 2. Upgrade fees $35 3. Pretending screen protectors are included $50 4. Adding on insurance $17 in monthly fees 5. Not telling us about a $5 plan change fee. There was absolutely no reason for lying and scamming. We made decisions based off lies and misinformation and had we had known the full picture we would have done things differently. The sales rep asked for a 5 star review. And we wish we could give lower than a 1. Do not go here. And potentially consider going to a different provider. read more

Went in to upgrade my phone and ended up being charged for items that were represented as free such as a watch, and additional "eSim" phone lines. Turns out the watch was not free but $480, insurance $17, and charged for an additional phone line. 2 additional "eSim" phone numbers were added to the account and we were told they were customary and free. Insurance was added to the account for existing devices @ $17 each. And they sold me a screen protector and Otterbox that were not compatible. They removed the screen protector on the Otterbox to force it to fit over the separately sold screen protector. I will be reporting this all of this to DC AHJs. read more

Buying a cell phone isn't always a great experience, but the staff at this Verizon are the exception to the rule. Long story short, the Black Friday deal at Target didn't work out, so I came to Verizon because I planned on upgrading my iPhone anyway. My stellar associate, Heather, explained Verizon's Black Friday offers, and did the math for me and calculated that I was getting almost as good a value as Target's Black Friday offer. She really saved the day. She hit a snag when Verizon Corporate flagged my account for fraud (I'm from San Diego, but was buying an iPhone and Apple Watch in Washington, D.C., which was fishy to Verizon) and she patiently waited while Verizon corporate verified my identity. I'm super grateful for her help and for the help of the manager (whose name I've forgotten but he was great). This is a great place to come for an upgrade! read more

Before I moved into my home in March 2019, I had to call Verizon 10 times to make sure that they were taking care of my installation because they had the wrong information and they ultimately screwed up my installation. Then after my installation, my Internet didn't work and I had to call them eight more times to have a tech come down for free and fix it. Then I had to call them eight more times because the Internet was stopping between 8:30pm and 10:30pm, nightly. Then I had to call them another 10 times to get my gift card for $50 that was promised me by several representatives when I started Verizon - to be paid about two months after my service, I never received the gift card!! This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with!!! Today, I filed against Verizon with the FCC for FRAUD. read more

First, the staff that I talked with were great. Friendly, professional, etc. No complaints at all there. My issue is with the store itself. I went in to look at upgrading my phone. I had settled on the iPhone XR but the only one you can see and touch is bolted to the wall. Other phones are connected by a cable, but at least you can handle them. Then the phone comes in 6 colors and I wanted to see two of them before deciding. He could only show me the box as there were none out and he wasn't allowed to open the box. If I am spending $750 for something that I will be using everyday for up to three years (based on past phones), I want to actually see it and hold it. I will go to the Apple Store at Pentagon City as I am sure I can do that there. Was excited to see Verizon in my neighborhood. Sorry that I won't be able to shop there. read more

This location didn't have the phone I was looking to buy, and so I was going to visit another location but the sales representative asked if he could instead order the phone for me and have it shipped to me directly. I relented because it was clear he wanted the sale, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to wait a couple extra days. Well, I just received a notification from UPS that they couldn't deliver my phone due to an incomplete address. Checking the order details, it seems that the representative recorded my address incorrectly so now I'm having to wait even longer. read more

If I could give FIOS no stars I would. After they connected it none of my devices recognized the router. Spent hours waiting on the tech line, fixed it. Five min after hanging up the problem repeated itself knocking all my devices off. Second time on the phone, waited 1 1/2 hrs for tech service. This time they tell me the router is bad. Waited several days for the new router. It didn't work. Third phone call. Waited 45 minutes before telling them to disconnect and send me a box to return the equipment. I was charged for the time I had the service (haha during which time it never worked and included several days waiting for a new router) and I have to wait 6 weeks for the refund of the remaining money. I went to RCN, fast internet, good customer service, enough said. read more

This is the second time I have been at this location and received subpar service. I am giving it 2 stars simply because the African American female with the low hair cut greeted me with a smile and I overheard her conversation with her customer. She was amazing and courteous. I wish she was the on who helped me. I received awful service from an Asian male reeking of cigarettes with cracked lips and obviously not interested in helping me. He showed zero compassion for my phone that was not coming on and gave me minimal solutions. Did not offer for me to use their phone to call insurance or anything else. He made my day 10 times worse. Especially after I got to Apple and they said I was given the wrong information. I ended up going to Pentagon City where Glen tried to help me. His service was a million times better though I am still without a phone. Service makes all the difference and even though I live in DC I will not be back to the 14th Street location and will always visit The Pentagon location. read more
