DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more I hired Orkin for a comprehensive wasp treatment for a nest located near my chimney--directly above my newborn's bedroom. When I called to schedule the service, I was told it would not be an issue. I paid $415 expecting professional, effective removal. What followed was a frustrating, ineffective, and misleading experience: The first technician walked around my house but did not spray the actual nest. The nest continued to grow. I requested a follow-up, specifically noting the need for a ladder to reach the nest near the roof's peak. Two weeks later, a tech returned--without a ladder. Still, I insisted he spray again and watched him do it. Wasps returned again shortly afterward. I informed Orkin that the underlying issue--a gap in the masonry--needed to be sealed to prevent the wasps from coming back. At first, they said this would not be a problem. Then, they quoted me an extra $1,500 for a scissor lift rental, despite initially promising comprehensive service. When I questioned the added cost, I was told it was because the nest was "too high." This height limitation was never mentioned during scheduling or on their website. After nearly 1.5 months, I still have an active wasp nest above my child's room. If you want transparency, follow-through, and actual pest resolution, look elsewhere. Orkin failed on every level. ADDITION: Orkin did provide me with a full refund after creating this post, and we agreed to sever our services with each other.

Lied about a mouse problem to get money out of us. We had used Orkin for the past year due…read moreinitially to having spiders. They told us during the first inspection that they found mice in the attic and basement when it is only a 1.5 year old house. They set up traps and we paid for them to seal up holes. The traps never found anything... Fast forward to last week when they showed up unannounced to check the status of the attic with the mice. They told us the problem was now worse and we needed to completely replace our insulation and were trying to charge us $10,000!! (This was after their "discount" off of $13,000). We've have 2 other pest companies come and inspect since and none of them have found ANY signs that there have EVER been mice. I asked them if they saw the holes that Orkin showed us picture of. The only holes they found they said were clearly made by HUMANS. No holes from mice whatsoever.

A neighborhood canvasser representing Terminix came to my door today in Henrietta, NY. He began…read morelaunching into his sales pitch when I stopped him and asked if he saw the sign next to my doorbell. He played dumb and asked if I meant the house number. "No" I said, "the No Soliciting sign." He then asks me, "are you dyslexic?" "What?!", I asked. "Are you dyslexic? It says No Smoking", he says. "No it doesn't", I replied. "Yes it does, you bought the wrong sign", he continues. "We're done. Good bye, go away", I said as I closed the door. I couldn't believe how blatantly rude this kid was insulting me like that. I get that it can be a bit deflating to encounter a No Soliciting sign. I'd have cut him some slack if it were just an oversight and he simply said "no I didn't see it. Sorry to disturb you". I'd have respected that. I put up the sign because I get canvassed all the time. I know enough to call for help when I need it. I don't need anyone force-feeding me their services. If I have pests I can figure out who to call, but I can tell you after this experience it will never be Terminix. If their sales canvassers are this bad, I wouldn't even take a chance on their techs. These kids they hire act as if they are entitled to walk onto your property and impose themselves upon you, at least this one did. To be fair, since I have not used their services this review is admittedly superficial and I really can't do a Yelp review on the parents that raised this kid, so sorry to Terminix for taking the brunt, but you bear some responsibility for the people you choose to represent your company.

I had already taken a half day at work to meet them at my house. I find that very inconsiderate and unprofessional. Don't waste your time with Terminix. Save your time and find another provider.

We called John at Wildlife Resolutions, Inc. when we heard rustling in our walls and discovered…read morewhat looked like chipmunk nests in our insulation. From the start, we were reassured by John's professionalism and obvious expertise. At every stage of the process, he let us know what he was finding and what our options were for dealing with it. He made recommendations (which we took) but left all decisions about modifications to our house and the fate of the animals he trapped up to us. He performed a thorough assessment of our property: inside and out, roof to foundation. He identified evidence of chipmunks, mice, and flying squirrels, and found their points of entry. He developed a plan, in consultation with us, for trapping the animals who were making their nests within our walls while leaving the innocents in the yard alone. John set several live traps, and over the course of about a week, caught a few chipmunks and determined that the flying squirrels had long since left their nests. He gradually closed up all their points of entry, found the exit trails of the mice, and closed those up, too. John guarantees his work for a year, but he's left us confident that our house is clear of all unwanted critters, and will remain so. John has been a pleasure to work with: friendly, informative, humane, patient, and responsive. We absolutely recommend Wildlife Resolutions, Inc.
