I really liked this place. The nail techs were nice to me. The place itself was pretty standard and maybe a little above some. They use single use liners in the pedicure tub for hygiene purposes, they offer you a complimentary drink, and I enjoy that the TVs are all directly in front of you. (Some salons you are not facing the same way as the TVs but at this salon, for both mani and pedi you can watch TV). I think their prices are fair. I had some rough areas on the skin around my nails that the nail tech was careful and nice about. The reason for 4/5 stars: I do feel the nail application could have been better at times. I had to ask for some areas touched up that the tech didn't catch and 1-2x I don't think she saw what I was pointing at. I asked for cat eye and I don't think it is really cat eye. Maybe she was running out of the needed coat, but I wish she would have just told me that so I could choose something else. The massage did not feel very long. That said, I would still recommend this place. I will probably go again. Mainly because the retention is awesome.. I'm including photos of my nails when I got them done vs. now, 4.5 weeks later. They still look great! Street parking. Clean inside. Friendly greeting. Lots of color options for polish. You can definitely find one that fits your personality! We have been a few times and have had great service with great results. The massage chairs to sit in are absolutely wonderful. We usually go for a pedicure. I've never experienced a manicure there. They will give you a menu and you can choose which type you would like. Some come with just a standard And basic foot cleaning and toe clean up with polish. Others come with hot stone massage on your leg or wax for your foot. I always go for the bigger bang for your buck and enjoy the leg massage and hot stones. They do have drink options, and I like to enjoy a beer while hanging out. They do prefer tips to be in cash...Just an FYI. And I think that booking an appointment is better than just trying to walk in. Walking in is such a hit or miss. Sometimes it is packed and sometimes you can get right in. These staff are always kind to my wife and I. They even invited us to stay for their Christmas party recently. Super kind of them to offer. Let's start with the good, super responsive to my query on Yelp, got a response within a minute and was able to make an appointment with 12 hrs notice which is great! The lady who appeared to be making the appointments was friendly and very nice. I arrived sharp at 10 am for my appointment, when my nail technician didn't arrive until 10.10 I requested someone to get started since I had a hard stop in 30 minutes. Arrive the not very happy technician who did my service, grumpy throughout. She did a decent job on my nails , got poked twice when removing dead skin from the cuticles. Massage was likely 2 minutes and not the advertised 5 minutes. And no drink was offered to me unlike what was being advertised outside. It was offered to my neighbor. Also they sprayed my nails with some awful smelling spray at the end of service , to help it dry quicker, I would have preferred to have a choice in applying the spray, it was gagging. I was really excited to try this new place. It's got a beautiful interior. They've done a nice job setting it up. I had a 1 o'clock appointment and I got out of there at 3:15 for just a manicure. I was excited to find a new place that could do dip and chrome on my nails. The guy doing my nails was not friendly. Plus when my current nail polish was wrapped dissolving, he went into the back and had a cigarette because he came back in and smelled like cigarette so I had to sit there and finish getting my nails done with that stink. This is a very personal review. I have been coming here for a year now and I was so excited to find this salon. But overtime I have been treated worse and worse each time. There is one person in particular that will make you feel very uncomfortable. The last straw was when I brought my 7yo son in with me for a pedicure. He absolutely loves to get pedicures and brought his own money to pay for it because he had saved up for the experience. He just wanted a basic pedi, foot soak, nails trimmed and paint. He loves the massage part and asked if they would spend a little extra time. They said they would only do 2mins on each foot and if he wanted more they wanted to charge him 15 dollars for an extra 3 mins on each foot. Then the person doing his pedi continued in a very mean and passively aggressive manner and got up half way through because he asked what tool they were using was called. He's a curious 7yo. The person getting a pedi next to us noticed what was happening and commented on how rude we were being treated, and to stop treating him that way. She is also a long term customer who said she had never been treated so badly and to stop being mean to my little boy. I was grateful she acknowledged the situation and I was not the only one defending our mistreatment. The manager eventually had to step in and ask the employee to leave so she could finish the pedi. I was basically in tears trying to finish our pedis so we could get out of there. I had just been in the previous week getting a manicure and I was a monthly customer and always tip very well. Im so disappointed to be treated this way after thinking I found a good salon. If you do not want to be kind to customers do not work in the service industry. I'm devastated by this experience and will not be going back. Think twice before coming to this salon if you want to be treated with kindness and respect. read more

I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but out of all of the places in Portland to get your nails done this place is NOT IT. I took my little sister in for her 16th birthday. Immediately when we walked in there wasn't a very welcoming vibe. No one greeted us. Fast forward, we both decide on dip powder nails with a tip. It is listed as $60 on their board. They charged me a total of $150 and said it is because we got gel nail polish. They also couldn't do the spiderweb design that they confirmed they would be able to do. I accidentally jerked my hand away at one point because twice the woman doing my nails burnt and filed my real nail down when trying to blend the tip. They also skipped steps on me that they did on my sister yet we got the same nails. Both of our nails came out just ok, with each nail because different shapes and sizes when we asked for coffin shape. It has been two days, and after my sister took a shower there is now water underneath her nail somehow. I was told that unless I came in the next day they can't do anything about it. He bought the highest quality and best pedicure they had on their menu. Normally, a Spa will offer you coffee or tea or water, but not this place... You get to buy it. The way his toenails look when he came home I was shocked. The cuticles were all messed up. The length of each nail was different... short/long and cut unevenly! Almost look like a child had done it. Flying out the next day... We just have to deal with it... Week later, go back and talk to the manager to even them out and she said too bad too sad you should've come back the next day... I was new to getting a cat's eye gel manicure at this salon. I showed the color twice to the manicurist and she applied the wrong color because she only went by the number. You might say - why didn't you tell her it was wrong? She didn't know how to do the technique and called over 2 separate people to help her so when she asked if it was OK, I thought she meant the technique and maybe she was going to do an additional coat and they did it differently here. Well that wasn't the case and I have a totally different color, ie gold and blue vs gold and magenta. They were pretty argumentative when I put my nails next to the demo nail and I still ended up having to pay. Maybe the colors were marked incitement by them? In addition, 20 minutes late (the person next to me also has an appt and just ended up leaving), 1 minute massage and no hot towel wrap. A real disappointment. read more

I went in for a pedicure and the woman scrubbed the top of toenails (not the tips) using a nail file and split my toenail on my big toe.I have never experienced this before ever and I told her this. She said that my nail was already like that while she proceeded to put glue on it. All my nails are now jacked up. She made me pay full price. Take a look at the picture and decide for yourself if you want them to do your nails. My toe nail is likely going to be need to be removed and will need medical attention.
