This is a very easy going and friendly nail salon. The staff is very inviting and building is extremely clean and well maintained. The location is in a very nice area of town and the parking is simple and close in. I was a walk in and only waited for a few minutes for a nail tech.. I had busted a nail and needed it repaired and painted. I ended up just getting a a new set as I found a style and color I really wanted. I was in and out in thirty minutes and I'm thrilled the work. My nails look great and I may have just found my new nail salon. My wife and I are going tomorrow for pedicure. We enjoy pedicures as it feels like we are being pampered a little bit. Verona is about to hit their 1 year anniversary and this review is well deserved! I started with getting my Pedicures here and I gradually moved into doing gel manicures and the occasional Gel X sets. To start this place is in such a great location on Elk Grove Blvd. I always find parking and I have never has any issues even with Raw Sushi Next Door. Verona is special and breathtaking. The place is HUGE and the nail bar is comfortable. The Pedicure chairs are very comfortable and I always appriciate it when John brings me my usual Pedicure Desk for when im working lol. As I mentioned John, hes my guy! Hes very detailed, comforting and gentle when it comes to my pedicure! I have done an array of Pedicures from the menu and each time John delivers! When I come in for manicures and Gel X its none other than My, shes incredible! She also takes her time and is really detailed oriented when it comes to cuticles, nail shape, design and color. What I really appreciate about My is her communication, she always asks if the shape is good and checks on the color always. She's incredible and always makes me so happy! I also really love that when you come in they offer something to drink! There has been many times im running and forget my water or coffee and they always have me covered. They have snack baskets in every corner of the nail bars and its always stocked. Verona is so generous and coming in is always a great experience! I was excited to try this place despite the mixed reviews, as I didn't want to judge based solely on others' experiences. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. I requested a gel manicure and pedicure and paid for the second-tier package, but I have honestly received better service elsewhere for a lower price. My cuticles were not properly treated or removed, hangnails were left untouched, and there was still visible white residue on both my fingers and toes after the service. Overall, the experience did not feel clean or thorough, especially considering the total came to over $120. I've been going to Verona for years and have always had a decent experience--until today. This was, without a doubt, the worst manicure I've ever had anywhere. While the pedicure wasn't great, the manicure was completely unacceptable. The technician seemed completely uninterested in what she was doing and was careless throughout the service. She drew blood on my cuticles--both on my fingers and toes--which is not only painful but also concerning from a hygiene standpoint. On top of that, she left my fingers covered in acetone the entire time I was getting the pedicure, which caused my nail beds to become raw and overly soft. It was extremely uncomfortable and felt damaging. To make matters worse, the polish application was rushed and poorly done. She used only one coat, and it came out sloppy and full of bubbles. The overall result looked unfinished and unprofessional. That technician should not be allowed to provide manicure svc, not only was this not up to even basic standards, but she is a health hazard. read more

I used to come here regularly but stopped because of the quality and the uncomfortable environment. I decided to give it another try today, and unfortunately it reminded me why I stopped going. My nails turned out very thick and clunky and were not good quality at all. When I addressed that I wasn't happy with them, several workers started walking by and staring while I was sitting there. It felt very uncomfortable, especially when multiple people around me even agreed the nails didn't look right. I ended up asking to have them removed because I was so unhappy with how they looked. When you go somewhere to get your nails done, you expect to relax and have a good experience, but this ended up being frustrating and a waste of time. The last time I was here, my appointment had been changed to a different technician without my request or knowledge. I had to wait for my person and then it was very rushed. The environment was nice but the quality of work was far from it. First they convinced me to upsell to a gel x nail. I figured I'd give it a try so we will see how durable they are. They wanted to charge more on top of it for a cat eye polish but then were out of the color of choice. I stated I wanted square and when she cut the nail a few were cut very crooked making them super short and impossible to make square. I'm non confrontational but I spoke up multiple times about them and she made excuses or reasons for them. The final result after $70 is horrible. None are straight, even, or square. The build up was all left under the nails. I'm very disappointed for the price and quality. We will see if they even hold up durability wise. read more

Verona now charges an additional $10 to scrub feet for callus removal for a regular pedicure. So expect to pay at least $50 for a pedicure that includes the service, which is without gel polish. Their competitors include callus removal for $34 to $38 for the exact same service. It's a dumb and cheap way to nickel and dime the customer for only 5 minutes time and very little product usage. I had a pedi at Verona last summer and they were not doing this. I will take my business elsewhere and will not be back. There is nothing special or that stands out for this place. read more

My sister is getting married next week so I booked mani pedis for all the girls here. SO glad I did!! No. No. And no. Do NOT go here. My friend and I stopped coming here a couple years ago due to their pushy upselling and overall rudeness. We both got a 20% off coupon for dip nails via text, so we decided to come back and give it another chance. After telling them I wanted dip ($45) they said "Do you want a manicure- it's $10 extra." I asked why trimming cuticles doesn't come with a dip *manicure* and she said they just use the little thing to push back your cuticles but they don't cut them off, but for $10 more you get cuticles cut, lotion and massage. I asked how much a regular manicure was with just regular nail polish and they said $28. So I told them that makes zero sense since both are manicures, but the basic one comes with cuticle cutting, lotion and parafin. The manicurist Kayla was visibly annoyed and snooty as she completed my manicure with since I switched from dip to regular polish. As she was painting the polish I noticed it was chunky and uneven- so she went to put thinner in it and came back to put another coat. At this point my friend and I looked at eachother and I just had to laugh because I couldn't believe how terrible my nails looked. Her 4 year old daughter gave me a better manicure just a couple weeks ago. Once she was done she just left the table and started on another persons pedicure without even saying thank you or bye. I am a teacher and to treat myself to anything like this is few and far between. A manicure is 2 hours of work for me so to give them my money for a crappy job is very frustrating and I will absolutely not be coming back here again. My friend had Hai and although they had a little hiccup he was very patient and friendly- so I guess if you do decide to come here, ask for him. read more

One of the worst set of nails I have ever gotten. Not only did the technician rush through the set, which she spent a whopping 40 ish minutes on, but the quality was so bad. Paint on my fingers, bubbling/uneven texture of the nails, under nail jagged edges, and my nails are all pointing different directions - some up, some sideways, some downward. When I discovered my go-to nail spot was closed on Sundays, my mom and I made way to another nail spot to fix our disastrous nails. Let's just say 3+ weeks of chipping polish drove me to a point of no return, and that's when Verona stepped in. PROS: ++ Located in a strip mall near the grocery store, it's easy to spot and has ample parking! ++Despite how busy it was on a Sunday afternoon, (clearly, we weren't the only ones with that idea!) there was no wait, so we simply checked in via kiosk and waited for the manager to direct us to the proper station. ++ A sweet young woman approached us to remove our previous polish and made great conversation with us before our 2 nail techs arrived. She was super friendly and made us feel right at home. ++ My nail tech was super outgoing, engaged in conversation and had me laughing the entire visit. She complimented me on various aspects of my nails and also sympathized with me, as we both bite our nails! She truly made the experience better by simply engaging. ++ Being accustomed to shellac polish, my tech suggested dip - as it's better for nails long term and lasts longer, which I am all about! She took her time in trimming and clipping throughout the process, which was so nice and thoughtful. My color turned out perfectly and the design requested turned out decent! ++ The entire visit was quick and easy, which made more time to enjoy the remainder of the day! CONS: -- The nail tech my mom had was super NOT friendly, in that he didn't say one word to her the entire visit. He had his headphones in, talking sporadically as if responding to a phone call and just went about his business. He wasn't engaging or even provided simple directions to my mom about what was next in the process. It felt like we were a burden to his day and that he wasn't happy to be there. Very unprofessional. -- We also got super uncomfortable weird vibes from the manager, who felt the need to man the door, direct workers and customers to their respective corners, and wore headphones the entire time. It felt very pimp/mob-esque which was awkward and created this uncomfortable atmosphere. awk. -- Pricing is INSANELY HIGH. Knowing dip is more than shellac polish, I wasn't all that surprised by the $45 price tag associated. HOWEVER, they charge for just about everything else. $10 to remove previous polish, another $10 for cuticle treatment, trimming and clean up, and another $10 for design. After all was said and done, it cost me $77 (with tip) for dip polish with a minimal design on my own nails. YIKES. While this place is open on Sundays and close to home, I won't be venturing back anytime soon. #sorrynotsorry read more

The techs are all friendly but don't trust the prices on the website because if you question the charges with the "manager" aka tall man, he'll be extremely rude.
