It is a delight to write a review about a business that is as unique as Versani, has an incredible owner/designer such as Ara, and a wonderful staff across the board lead by Ava and everyone else. We went to many places looking for rings, both in NYC and here in Scottsdale, AZ but there is no where else that had the uniqueness and style of Versani's silver jewelry or for that matter diamond rings. Ara prides himself not only in the design of his jewelry but in that of his stores as well. Both 152 and 171 Mercer Street has beautiful showrooms. You get a sense after a few visits, enjoyable conversations and getting to know the staff that you are truly welcomed and valued as a customer - what a pleasure in today's world. In addition to quality designer jewelry the service is superb and I found everyone there to be extremely responsive to our individual requests and timeframes. We exchanged rings in March and were back in NYC just last week with a request. In a matter of a few days we went back and the work was perfectly done. That for me exemplifies customer service. I truly enjoy doing business with an organization that puts the customer first and does it with a smile every time. I have been shopping at Versani for all of my mens jewelry for years and they are truly unmatched in style and service. Now, before I even ventured into this store, I would rarely wear jewelry. My dog literaly dragged me in one day as I was walking by. The Jewelery in here for men is masculine and unique. Versanis combination of metal and wood really stand out. Everything is super heavy and solid, which is always a plus when it comes to jewelry. The sales people are always very nice and really helpful. My daughter who lives in Brooklyn turned me on to this fabulous jewelry store. Unique and one of a kind pieces. Friendly and non-pushy sales staff. After a few months of wearing it, one of the pieces I bought (an unusually shaped pinky ring with black gem stones) was missing a stone. I called the store to see if they would be willing to replace the stone or the ring. They didn't even hesitate: "just send us the ring and we will fix it." Not true with David Yurman! I had a diamond pinky ring that split and they wanted $80.00 to repair it. And I am a frequent Yurman buyer! Go to Versani for beautiful jewelry and exceptional customer service. the jewelry in here is outstanding. one of a kind for those people who like sliver pieces that are upscale-rustic looking. i walked in there totally by chance and was stunned at how beautiful and unique the pieces are. often they combine silver and wood to create a very earthy-elemental look that is simultaneously classy and refined. the service was outstanding. the manager there took excellent care of me and was able to provide me with a gorgeous ring at a great price. she was very compassionate and friendly. i will definitely be purchasing more jewelry there. you should seriously check this out. read more

i bought a Thin Key Design Necklace #B794N from Versani 10 years or so ago. I wear it all the time. The stores are full of beautifully displayed and unique pieces. While the jewelry is expensive, compared to one of their competitors King Baby it's actually reasonable. I am wanting the thin key design necklace in gold now. It is very expensive. But guess what, I tried to find a piece that was comparable from dozens of high end jeweler. Guess what? Not available at any price. So one day, when I can get the funds together, I am going right back to Versani. read more

I received a necklace and earrings as a gift. I immediately called Versani after I received the gift and requested a return. Maritta, the store manager, assured me that they have a large selection and she would help me find something I like. If not, then we could see about returning. She said she just wanted to make me happy. She said to come in any weekend and she would be there. I went in today and she was not there, but Ara, the owner and designer was. He told me that their policy was no returns, even though Maritta told me that if I didn't find anything returning was a possibility. This store has a very small selection of fine jewelry, and what they have looks insubstantial and poorly made given the high price tag. And needless to stay, the customer service is horrible. Stay away from this tourist trap. read more

I wouldn't recommend this store and jewelery to anyone who has a good and sophisticated taste. You are list in an abundance of metal products. At the end, you realize there is no any piece of jewelery you want to buy: absolute lack of style, sophistication and uniqueness. I have no idea how this designer from Liberia could win any clients with the creations of this kind and managed to open more than three stores. But what the most outrageous, the store personnel didn't want to return my money and tried to convince me that they offer only store credit for their returned 'fine' jewelery. It took me more than half an hour to get my money back. In the end, spoilt mood because of the arguing and disappointment that such jewelery stores and tasteless designers are exist and even prosper. If you want a piece of metal with a lack of elegance and at a unbearably high price, you can come in this store and see it yourself. read more

This place has some very nice pieces. I've gotten my wife several items (some very cool earings and some necklaces) and it always goes over well. Their stuff can be a little clunky (my wife prefers more delicate stuff) but they have a great selection and very unique pieces. read more
