However, the coffee table I purchased has a marble top which is cracking, and was actually repaired right after purchase. The owner, I believe whose name is Michael, was less than happy about having to stand by his product. He has quite a temper. The real reason I'm just now reviewing them is because of what happened yesterday. A very large, $900 canvas print I purchased and had 'professionally hung' by California Design's employee/contractor, at an additional cost, btw, fell off the wall! Not only is my wall gouged from the corner of the frame hitting it as it fell, the back frame holding the wire also came apart. That will be difficult to repair because of how it was initially put together. What I am upset about is that the installer used two screws, with no wall anchor or being secured by a stud, to hold this heavy picture! Unbelievably sloppy work. It took three years, but it finally failed, which he knew it eventually would. I paid to have it hung properly, which it wasn't. California Designs is now out of business, and no wonder! Good riddance to bad attitudes and poor work ethic.

Though the store IS small, it's a lot easier to find the hard-to-find or popular items. My kids recently wanted a series that came out several months ago and they still had a few boxes here whereas every other store is sold out. They're super enthusiastic about checking the back for you if there's something you want that's not out. We've been to the larger locations, such as Tustin, but the greater foot traffic also means things get sold out a lot quicker.

Inside, the store had a bright, clean, and well-organized layout that made browsing through the aisles relaxing and inspiring. Some items had prices that were clearly marked and some didn't. It was hard finding a staff member to get items scanned so I had to put it in my shopping cart and get to the checkout line for a price check. I have been to other Hobby Lobby locations and it's quite large with lots of items to look at. I feel like all these stores are owned by a Christian family as I frequently hear Christian music as you walk around the store and it is quite peacful and relaxing even for non religious shoppers. Some of the standout items for sale included seasonal home décor whcih right now was clearance items from Valentines Day and new items for Easter holiday. There were also a large display of artificial floral arrangements, wall art, and a wide variety of craft supplies. I found a few paints supplies and scrapbooking materials for my niece to enjoy. The selection was impressive, and the quality of the products made it easy to find unique items for both home decorating and DIY projects.
