Walking into the coffee shop, there is a sense of rustic-ness. You feel like you traveled to a dimension where coffee meets the 40s. A time where people always smiled at each other. To me, I felt like I can just sit and study while having a coffee. They have an appetizing food and dessert selection. I was fighting temptation and it almost won. I decided to play it safe and ordered an iced chai latte and an iced crème brûlée latte. To be honest, I was expecting more. I felt like both drinks were watered down, but that could've been from the ice. It was just too hot out not to have something iced. The service was great though. My review is based on three visits to Veskolini cafe, and I just have to say that the coffee just isn't my favorite unfortunately. I really wanted to love it , thus going back again and again... We have tried the latte, crème brûlée latte, cappuccino and macchiato. The crème brûlée latte is so sweet, I ordered it twice and the same results, and mind you , I love sweet lattes , but it was way too sweet even for me. Macchiato was even worse in terms of taste, it wasn't sweet just not good. They have sweets but they don't bake them, which I understand , however it is always a negative for me when the cafe does not bake their sweets but yet they do have some sandwiches , Paninis, etc which did look good as other people enjoyed it, can not speak to the food as we only ordered coffee on all three occasions. The location is good, there is parking available , the ambiance is nice and the place is roomy with comfy seating , the owners / staff are nice as well , just the coffee itself is not for me. read more

Great food. There desserts/pastries are amazing. I also got there Iced White Chocolate Salted Caramel coffee. It was refreshing and perfectly strong. This is a nice little coffee shop in the center of Dunedin's downtown. I walked over but there are a few parking spaces in their small lot. The decor and employees are quite cheery. I was worried about finding a new place to sometimes work from and overall just relax and I've found it! The service is wonderful and friendly and the decor is simplistic yet elegant. EXTREMLY over priced! Food was good, but not exceptional. Loved the environment and nice wait staff. BUT, 2 panini's and a simple coffee and tea was $45 BEFORE tip. Later, I wanted a refill of a coffee that got cold with1/2 still left. They charged me again and we had 1 piece of cake. $13.64 before tip! It was a small slice of cake too (although good). The owner (I presume) made me buy the other cup of coffee and it was rather uncomfortable when I questioned it. Tax and tip on 1 cake/coffee was over $16!!! I want to love this place, but this feels like price gouging. Still can't believe they made me pay for another coffee (and wouldn't even just steam heat). Sandwich was good, but not that special and certainly not packed with meats/cheeses even to justify the hefty price. DEFINTELY not worth the $16 for 1. 2 sandwhiches, 2 coffee, one tea and slice of cake out the door was $72.89! (Inlcuding 20% tip-which staff was very nice and was OK.) read more

Found this on Yelp and figured why not try some place new. It's a very spacious coffee shop off the beaten path of Main Street. The coffee was good, the food was okay but definitely overpriced. We got 2 coffees, a cream puff (that definitely tasted like it was one of those frozen kinds you buy at Sam's club) salmon bagel sandwich and a chocolate croissant..before the tip was at $35 The people there were friendly but leave you alone for the most part (which is nice). Dunedin does it again with yet another great coffee shop. Veskolini is super well done on the inside. They have gone the extra mile to have ample seating & very inviting & comfortable seating. The seating styles vary. One area is set up like a cozy living room. Another us set up like a friendly group dining area. The point is that Veskolini recognizes if you have comfy, inviting seating areas, people will come. Of course the product is important too. I got a creme brûlée latte that was excellent & full of warm flavor. We shared some cheesecake that was excellent as well. The only negative I could see was that the prices were higher than most coffee shops. The lattes were like $6 & the cheesecake slices were $8. On the flip side, I determined that Veskolini cafe is a special place. I believe the owners are Ukrainian & it felt very good to support these people and their great products. read more

This cafe is so cute! They have pastries, sandwiches, and cafe drinks. It has a lot of European treats like tiramisu, baklava, and macarons. I had something that was like a tiropita (Greek cheese pie) -- I forget exactly what they called it. And a cappuccino. I love that their mugs are clear, it just feels elegant. My husband had a ginger lemonade, which was extremely heavy on the ginger. I'm not sure he was the biggest fan, but if you love ginger then it might be for you. Otherwise the cafe is pretty open and has a good amount of comfy seats. I stopped in for a drink after going to a Spring Training game and it was exactly the kind of place I needed to unwind and get some work done. It has comfortable seating with delicious options! The salted caramel mocha was absolutely splendid. They also have a nice selection of teas, including a wonderful raspberry hibiscus blend. The staff is pretty wonderful as well. I hate it when employees or anyone in general are pushy about ordering something else. Like I go there to read, relax and drink their coffee, not get asked 5 times after saying no if I was sure about not buying more stuff on top of what I had already gotten. If you want the best and a classic European cafe in Tampa Bay, it's Veskolini Cafe. Great coffee and beverage selection with authentic European pastries and breakfast plates. It's always impeccably clean and staff is warm and welcoming. My favorite is the "breakfast avocado toast with egg" on their fresh multi grain bread, with sliced avocado, an over easy egg, sliced tomato topped with fresh arugula. My wife and I went to Veskolini Cafe on a recommendation from a friend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It's a quiet little cafe off the main drag, but the atmosphere inside is so nice and relaxing that you could spend an entire day there without feeling like you needed to do anything else. There was gentle music playing in the background and the sofas and chairs are reallly comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly as well and it felt like we were talking to folks that we had known for a long time. My wife ordered a slice of the triple chocolate mousse cake and I ordered a slice of the lemon mascarpone cake and both were absolutely delicious. As we ate our cake, the owner checked in on us more than once to make sure that everything was OK. She also took the time to answer some of my wife's questions about the cake which I thought was nice. All in all, Veskolini Cafe was a great date day for my wife and me and I am looking forward to making another trip to Dunedin in the future so we can spend some more time feeling like we're in Prague. read more
