DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS WITH REPAIRS Do not go here to get any repairs or oil changes done. This place plainly rips of the customer and does not care to take the time (that you paid for) to fix the bike correctly. On multiple occasions they gave me back my vespa with major problems. One time it was given back to me with the steering column loose to the point that I could turn the steering headset and the wheel wouldnt move. Very dangerous. They gave me back the bike and when I brought it back they tried to charge me to fix their mistake. They overcharge everyone and do not care. I repeat DO NOT GO TO THEM! This place is terrific. Each and every time I need work done on my Vespa--be it an annual inspection or an emergency blown gas-line--they accept the bike immediately without appointment and turn it around expeditiously. I love the staff--Chris especially--and their retail section (helmets, chains, covers) has everything you need. Also...the fact that it's at the bottom of a very large hill helps a LOT in situations of a broken down scooter. And I know because I've been at the top of that hill when my Vespa pooped out! I've owned an Aprilia motorcycle and been a customer of Vespa Brooklyn's service department for 3 years now. They've done almost all the oil changes, scheduled maintenance, and upgrades on my bike. About a year and a half ago I moved out of NYC to the Wilmington, DE area. Sure, there are Aprilia shops closer to my new home. I took my bike to one of them since I moved. But I learned my lesson - now I bring my bike back to Vespa Brooklyn. It's an extra hour and a half on the road each way, but the service is so much better! I call ahead to make an appointment, and tell them what I need. They always make sure to have all the parts on hand and staff scheduled so they can get it all done in one day, and I can ride home. As a bonus, they even wash the bike when they're done. I've never experienced this level of service at any other motorcycle shop, and as long as it's possible for me to ride to Brooklyn for service, I'll take my Aprilia to Vespa Brooklyn. read more

No, owner is very rude, the repair was, charged my bank card for a 500 dollar bill, the said the charge went threw. The owner called me approximately 3 weeks latter. Just picked up my new Guzzi yesterday and wow. Incredible. So much fun. I didn't want to call it a night after I picked up this joy of a ride. I went into the shop a few weeks ago to window shop and well, I knew it was the one I wanted. It was just a matter of when. They had a special going on for the financing on the leftover models, and a little bit off the sticker price helped too. I took the plunge and bought it. Through the pickup and stopping by once in between I spoke to three of the sales reps (Shain, David, and Andrew), all were very nice and no pressure about the sale. Shain rides the same bike and was knowledgeable about the bike and had suggestions for a places to ride out of the city, maintenance and all the things to get started. It is was all very convenient, no trip to the DMV necessary, they do all of it for you. read more

I had been thinking about getting a scooter for a while now since selling our car. Living in Brooklyn Heights, these guys seemed to be the closest dealer around. From the moment I called, Marco and Andrew were total pros. Very experienced guys who know their business. When I walked in all of my questions were answered truthfully and I never got that sleaze ball salesman feeling. They didn't push me to add accessories or buy the "top of the line" like I was expecting. In the excitement of buying the scoot I was thinking about all sorts of things to "add-on"...their advice...get out and ride for a while and see what you need. Through the process I think they gave me all the information I needed to make the right choice for me. I ended up with a new Vespa LX150. I love this thing. Makes my commute a fun activity!!! I purchased a Piaggio scooter from another dealership in NJ in June of 2013. All was fine until the bike started leaking oil....unexplainably. To be clear, this was no fault of Vespa Brooklyn. It was a manufacturer's issue that was covered under warranty. Given the fact that BKLN Vespa (certified to maintain-fix Piaggio/Vespa scooters) was much closer to my home in Brooklyn, I called them. Long story short: After Andrew (the manager) and team took the bike in on Aug 7 to diagnose and correct the problem, I didn't get my bike back until the first week of Oct. First they could not find the problem, then they couldn't get the bike to start, then they needed to order parts. It went on and on for more than 8 weeks. In short, it was two full months of phone calls back and forth with Andrew. The problem? Vespa BKLN took too long to diagnose and fix the issue. I've purchased gloves, glasses and helmets from Vespa BKLN in the past and I would have continued to shop there if I had a better experience with their service. In addition, towards the end of the 8 weeks, they told me the bike would be ready "the next day" then I ended up waiting another 4 days to get the bike. Note - I did get the bike back and the oil leak was fixed. It was all covered under warranty as it should have been. Takeaway: Maybe if I purchased my bike from Vespa BKLN this would have been a better experience? Maybe Vespa BKLN lost $$ on fixing the bike? That's how I felt. It shouldn't make a difference. If you bring a Piaggio/Vespa into a shop that is certified to fix Piaggio's/Vespas you should get good service in a timely manner. That's what Piaggio (the manufacturer) said when I called them direct a few weeks into this issue. In my opinion, the brand Piaggio/Vespa is a great one and it should live up to its expectations from all sides of the business. All in all I had a very poor customer experience. read more

Unfortunately, this place is perfect for people who understand little about motorcycles, and believe anything they are told. Many first bikers with Vespa or Moto Guzzi are like that, and that's how Vespa BK make money. Please, call Vespa USA customer care (800.631.1101, or check the Vespa USA website), or at least consult other vespa services before considering going to these guys. People at Vespa BK can force you to change unnecessary parts, and then present you an exorbitant bill (such as $400 for front pads replacement). They also like to charge extra time, as it happened at least twice to me. Please, make sure to call Vespa USA customer care if you think you have been fooled by Vespa BK. Explain the work done on your motorcycle, the detailed bill, and your concern to the customer care. Good luck. read more

pretty frustrated with these guys and they never even got my bike. Went to drop it off on a saturday, got there at 5:30-5:40 and even though they are open until 6 the place was padlocked and vacant. Left messages of course, my scoot had issues and didnt want to ride at all, but also didnt want to pay for a tow. but now i had to ride it back home to Coney, oil leak and all. Spoke to owner Andrew on Monday, and at first he was wiling to give me a free tow, but asked me to try to bring it in the next morning. When i called back i said i couldnt, but I could after work since they are open till 6:30. nope, they'll only be here till 6 he says. so, i'm gonna need that tow after all. Ok, but they cant give it to me free, because we were here until 6 and he claimed i didnt call until 6:30. i checked the time stamp on my phone and i started calling at 5:41. He was adamant that someone was there, not him...someone. Even when i was going to ride in, and was asking for nothing free, he was adamant. But this is a trust business, and if you are going to lie to me, or your guys are lying to you, and you're going to call me a liar... then i don't trust you, i wont give you business, and you shouldnt either. Just like Vespa Soho, these guys dont need you, and it shows. Scooter Bottega was closed for Christmas break, so i was giving these guys a shot...but i'll wait. Go to Scooter Bottega, or ive heard some good things about Vespa Queens. read more

AVOID THIS DEALER & SHOP BY ALL MEANS!!! I purchased a Piaggio Fly 150 on August 8, 2012 brand new Vespa Brooklyn. The bike worked normally up until mid-May when it began stalling while the bike was in motion. I took it to the dealer (also an authorized service center) as the bike is still under warranty. They told me it was a loose air filter, charged me upwards of $100 and I was on my way. It was only a day or two before the bike again began stalling. This time the bike had to be towed. The bike was at the shop a week and they couldn't find an issue with the bike. This has happened three more times so that the total of times the bike has been returned for the issue is five. After the second time it visited the shop I called Piaggio customer care. They informed me that they would get their tech people involved to troubleshoot the issue. These specialist were brought in to no avail. The bike is still under warranty but is neither safe to drive nor can it be counted on in any way. Piaggio is insisting that "nothing is wrong" with the bike. Yet I haven't driven it more than 50 miles since the first May 28 dropoff to the shop and the bike has stalled over five times (while in motion). Piaggio nor Vespa Brooklyn have offered to give me a working bike, or a refund. I have never had such an unprofessional experience with a vendor/manufacurer in my life! Scooters are not covered in NY by lemon laws. oh yeah... *the warranty is up next month read more

I started coming these guys to service and do winter storage for my Vespa several years ago. I have to say that I have never had an issue with them what so ever. I have now bought a Moto Guzzi from them and love it. Air cooled which is an issue in summer months in the city but i knew this in advance of the purchase and decided it wasn't enough of an issue to prevent me from purchasing the bike. I have had not issue with the service dept. in fact they have be very helpful. I did bring it in once and was told I was covered by the warranty so there was no cost. I recommend them to other people all the time and have zero complaints. read more

--REVIEW OF SERVICE DEPT-- Shady. Don't go. Totally overpriced. I've had 3 negative experiences with them before deciding to never return (they are extremely close to my house). Some of the guys who work there are nice, but overall the shop's policies are totally rip-u-off. 1. Overcharged me for a simple part replacement. Called a competing vespa repair shop and learned they had almost tripled the price. OK, no big deal. 2. Then...I asked how much it would cost to get the oil changed in my vespa (was a newbie!). They told me around $180 (!), even after asking "really?!" But REALLY?!? . I called vespa queens, and their repair department told me my vespa does not require oil changes as it is a 2-stoke engine, and the oil is mixed with the gas and simply refilled. Called a grease monkey friend, he confirmed Vespa queens account and told me to write off Brooklyn Vespa forever. 3. But idiot that I am, I went back. Dropped it off for an estimate after it had been knocked over. Got a really high estimate for changing a cable connecting the odometer and replacing the hub (around $500 -- bike only cost me 1400). When I tried to retrieve the bike, was informed that the estimate would cost $100. WTF? Had to get very angry with the owner before he allowed me to take my bike back. Not worth the trouble!!!
