    Garlic Knotz were on point!

Delicious food, quick service and I felt like I was back in NY for just a moment in time.

Apparently, id been here before but didn't leave a review & I forgot! We got a white pizza, chicken Lazio & garlic knots for takeout today! Total was ~$50 before tip and this will be enough food for 3 meals for 2 of us The garlic knots are very garlicky (yess) and come with marinara for dipping. Super soft inside, slightly crispy. Very tasty! The chicken Lazio is a flavor bomb. There's so much going on from sundried tomatoes, artichokes, cream sauce and goat cheese. If you like the chicken Brian at maggianos, you'll like this. White pizza looks like a NY style, has a great thin crust & the pieces are huge! We were in new York last month so look, this might be a pizza spot on our return list. White pizza is a good one.. might try a red sauce next time They told us it'd take 35-40 mins and we got there in about 45 mins and everything was ready, not sure for how long but they gave it right to us. In a strip mall so plenty of parking

Food and service has always been great at Capozzi's. The sandwich was amazing, not heavy on the bread but heavy on the flavor. I added a bit of Italian dressing and it made it even better! I'll be back.

Food and service were both quite good. Eggplant Maryanne had layers of eggplant, ricotta, mozzarella, and spinach topped with a well balanced marinara sauce with a side of pasta. Much better than the eggplant we've has at Provinos, Frankie's, or Olive Garden. Calzone was served hot, fresh, and crispy. Ambiance is lacking, old, and dated, but the food makes up for it. Hadn't been here in years. Glad we went back. Will definitely be adding it to our regular rotation.

Very nice experience, service was good, food was good. Pizza is very good both ways. Calazone was good but crust was not the best I've had by any means. My daughter loved the sandwich of eggplant parmisian. Nice size and loaded up. We sat outside. Parking is limited but you can park in the 15 minutes only spots per management. I am sure we will come back.

A genuine authentic Italian cuisine restaurant! I had the Chilean seabass, and was not disappointed. It was rich and wonderful. So this year we decided to come back for Mom's 91st birthday celebration and they happily accommodated our party of 16! They serve generous portions of wonderful food! This year I had the braised short ribs. And oh my goodness we're they delicious! We are already planning to celebrate Mom next year! If you like Italian food, this lovely restaurant should be tops on your list. 5 stars!!

Over the bar was a large screen TV showing beautiful scenes of Italy, with contemporary Italian pop playing in the background. I started with the soup of the day, which was lobster bisque that was so full of lobster that I would call it a stew versus a soup. The complimentary bread was slightly toasted and topped with aromatic herbs that paired perfectly with the olive oil with which it was served. My entree was a special, and was the short rib. There was nothing "short" about it as the huge beef rib had a bone that overhung the plate that a caveman would be proud to own. The beef was fork tender and the steak knife provided with it wasn't necessary. It was paired with a delicious and sweet wine sauce. And the side was tender gnocchi (al tartufo) in a rich and creamy sauce flavored with truffle. Since they also have Risotto al Tartufo on the menu, that will definitely be on my list for my next visit. And I definitely want to bring my wife to that next visit because the flavor and food were so wonderful, it's a great place for a date night.

I thought I had already left a scathing review after my experience, but for some reason, I did not. I don't remember what I ordered the one and only time my husband and I ate at this restaurant, but I do remember that it was inedible, so I sent it back, and ordered something else. Later, when the bill arrived, I saw they had charged me for half of my first meal. So I flagged the server about it, and they were like "well you ate half of it " and I explained I had taken 2-3 bites, the later ones simply to make sure I did indeed dislike it, and then my husband had a bite to confirm I wasn't tripping and that it was in fact terrible. 3-4 bites was NOT half the meal. It wasn't even a quarter. When I tried to push back on that, I was told "well, we know what our portion sizes look like, and half the meat was missing." The crazy part about this is that they seemed to truly believe I had gotten double the meat portion they had actually put in front of me. It was enraging. We paid and vowed to never return. I have told anyone who would listen about the time a restaurant refused to comp an entree that sucked because they accused me of l y i n g about how much of the meal I had consumed. The crazy part is that my husband and I would have returned to try this place again had the staff just believed me from the jump that I wasn't trying to pull a fast one. I normally am never happy about a restaurant closing, but Piastra? Good riddance.

My wife and I have dined here twice now; once on our wedding night and again on our Anniversary…read more Neither time did they disappoint us, but this most recent visit my tagliatelle nero di mare pasta could have benefitted from a little adjustment. The overwhelming flavor came from the dried Calabrian chiles, which had not been reconstituted properly into the sauce, so it also left me wondering whether the gritty bites came from that or if the clams & mussels had been cleaned properly. Regardless, the sauce lacked depth. The fresh pasta clung together in clumps, an indication that the chef had not mixed it diligently during the cooking process, but from a visual perspective, it looked to be on point. I must confess, the lamb carpaccio is one of the most distinct, unique dishes that I have tasted in quite a while; as a caveat to that, it is a bold flavor profile, so if you prefer a neutral, familiar red meat such as beef, proceed with caution and an open mind. My wife had the lobster and cavatelli, which was by far the most fully developed dish of all, creamy savory richness coating slightly dense bites of pasta, reminiscent of gnocchi, and the lobster was definitely present, which is the exception rather than the rule with most creamy dishes advertised to contain lobster. Our server was attentive, professional, polite, personable & well spoken. I can't say that I have any critiques in that area. Though she did not introduce herself, I presume she was the owner, came by to ensure that our meal was more than satisfactory. Even the lady tending to our drinks revisited the table with diligence. The inside has a very open floor plan, although it could probably have a layout redesign so that some tables don't make some patrons feel as though they are in the way. The decor is a blend of industrial chic with modern, local art lining the walls, most pieces being slightly above average amateur status. They have a private dining area dedicated to larger parties if you plan ahead and give them notice. There seemed to only be one lavatory for the whole restaurant, but it's possible that I didn't look long enough. All in all, a nice place for Italian food if you want to break free from the typical American-Italian offerings. Our meal was $130 for two entrees, two glasses of wine, an appetizer and a desert, with tip included. I'd say that's about on par with just about every other restaurant that doesn't have a drive thru. Buon appetito & mangia!

A bit off the beaten path and ponied up to a liquor store, this little gem is probably not a place I'd venture out to without a recommendation. And I'm so glad we had one. Great homemade pastas and other great Italian treats. Started off with some hot bread right out of the oven and then went for a caesar salad and a lovely gnocchi pasta from scratch..... delicious. Free small parking lot in front. Free extra parking across the street. The total was about $150 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and a dessert. Pros The quiet, intimate, and classy atmosphere was exactly what I needed for my family. When we first arrived, our table was not ready and we had to wait outside. However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. You could tell the food was fresh, the orders came fast, and the service was amazing. The fresh in house pasta took everything to the next level. It was the perfect night out. Cons The establishment is intimate so I do not think it would ideal for extra large parties. I had a party of 8 at 8PM but I dont know if they could have accomodated us if it was any earlier during prime dinner time. I wish they had a better parking situation but its not bad and its free.
