I had two slice, one plain cheese and one with the specialty meatball slices. The pizza was delicious. It was perfect. Idk if I was just really in the mood for pizza or what but my first bite was like the scene in rattouille when Remy was experiencing a euphoria from his food. Service was good. While family is hungry after the high school game, & this is the ONLY place nearby that we could find that's still open and would be ok to bring the kids with us. The guys here are so friendly. The diner is bright & clean. I do love that they have the picnic tables outside and booth seating inside. The hubby & little one enjoyed killing time on the mini-arcade game while we waited. We already know the hot pizzas will be amazing, but we're trying the mozzarella sticks for the first time. I like their selection of Italian iced to go and desserts as well. A great New Jersey pizza. Large 18" pizza loaded with Italian sausage, pepperoni, and white onion. Pizza was greasy in a good sort of way from the pepperoni but not too greasy. The crust was thin and very crispy. Stayed crispy and did not get soggy. Service was very friendly and helpful. Pretty busy for a weeknight. Took around 25 minutes for our pizza. A few tables and bar stools inside and out but better suited for take out. Be mindful that the toppings are expensive. $5 to add sausage and $4.50 for pepperoni. Adding a 15% tip with it ending up with a $42 pizza. Was good but definitely on the pricey side for a pizza. read more

My brother, John, has been raving about Carlo's Pizza and we finally made it out here. Carlo's Pizza is family owned and serves up NY & NJ style pizza. They are located in a Publix shopping plaza. We did takeout. We got 4 slices and the artichoke appetizer. Loved the toppings. They give a generous amount of toppings and they were tasty. The pizza tasted great! The dough was really good too! The artichoke appetizers had a nice presentation and were made well. The dipping sauce that came with the artichoke dip was bomb! I had some of that dip with my pizza and it was the perfect combo. We also wanted to try their sub but they ran out of bread. Will definitely have to come back to try that and the other menu items. I will definitely be returning! This place never disappoints! The pizza is delicious - the marinara is tasty and you always get ample toppings. We went with the pepperoni and mushroom tonight....so good! Their salads are also terrific - we always go with the Greek and it's awesome! If you wanted to eat before you left you could - there are a few tables but it's top notch takeout anytime! We're back First of all - the pizza is delicious!!! We usually get 1/2 and 1/2 with pepperoni being on one and being creative on the other side. The store is small. Window table with bar stools enough for about 6 people. it's more of a pick-up and go establishment. They recently added cane sugar soda--both fountain and large bottles. I apparently keep forgetting to take food pictures. Carlos pizza is nice addition to the East Cobb neighborhood. If you're not familiar, they were originally near the Sweet Auburn district in Atlanta but have since relocated to Johnson ferry. The pizza is traditional Jersey style with a lot of quality imported Italian ingredients they've been in business for 20+ years and have quite a legacy of pizza making that started with the patriarch in the family whom the restaurant is named after...Carlo. This is an all in the family, Irish-Italian clan and the kind of business where the brothers and sisters work tirelessly together to keep up the family legacy and pass down tradition. If you are intent on supporting local small biz, you may want to start with Carlos pizza. I haven't yet been inside the new restaurant but I have ordered delivery and I can tell you that they have specials as well and the pizza is excellent. Everything from the sauce to the dough and the cheese. Surprisingly I also ordered one of the salads and the dressing was delicious and the salad itself was very fresh so I would highly recommend. I will be coming back to try the tiramisu, but I have high hopes for that as well. The pizza is authentic and always fresh and the staff are very helpful and I'm always kindly greeted when I walk in. Everything on the menu is thoughtfully prepared. Typically, salads a pizza restaurants are pretty bare and boring but Carlo's makes very nice salads with house made dressings. They also sell Boylan craft sodas and an awesome selection of real water ice/Italian ice. It has the look of a real old school pizza place without trying to hard and it gives the perfect ambiance to enjoy a meal or even just a water ice. The perfect amount of cheese & sauce with the perfect, let me say it again, PERFECT crust. Ive also tried the salads , their vinaigrette dressing is sweet and delicious. Let's talk about the FRIES!!!! Every Philly or South Jersey native knows it's all about a lil' spice and some good cheese sauce to make the perfect French Fries and thank goodness this place does that recipe justice. I've been there 2x in a week and the people behind the counter have been friendly and helpful. It's a cute little place, about 10 counter top seats outside , 2 picnic tables as well. I don't even know where to begin here - but let's just say this pizza is so damn good I could cry. Literal tears of joy almost ran down my face as I ate this. My family is from the north east and I grew up in south Florida. There is some damn good pizza coming out of NY & NJ and for whatever reason you just can't get it down here - well, so I thought. Hubs found Carlo's Pizza on YouTube from a pizza reviewer and mentioned it to me. I looked at pics briefly and said it looked good, but figured we'd probably still be disappointed. I was VERY wrong. This is the best NY style pizza I have had anywhere in FL and GA combined. I do not say that lightly, I truly do not. The crust is expertly done; crisp, chewy, and just plain delicious. We always order well done when we get pizza and it is done perfectly here. The sauce and cheese go together like a beautiful symphony and the toppings are great. I may be crazy but I taste garlic on the mushrooms which is a welcomed addition if my taste buds aren't deceiving me. We have ordered twice in one week! The first was online via the website. The pizza took longer than we were quoted but after having tasted it I would happily wait over and over again. This evening we ordered through door dash and while it was more expensive (to be expected) it was still as scrumptious. You HAVE to try it. Don't walk. Run! All the way there. And thank me later.
