At first, it can be a bit overwhelming but the staff is very well trained and walked us through every step and each option that can meet each dietary restriction. You can either make your own plate by choosing (1) protein and and (2) sides or pick from their signature bowls or flatbread tacos. I made my own plate with blackened steelhead, which is a freshwater trout but could pass of as a salmon. For sides I tried their sweet potato hash and quinoa. Then topped it off with their green sauce, which was recommended by the staff. I love that they were able to recommend a sauce based off of the choices I made. You can also order online, which I think it is great if you're on the go and already have an idea of what you like from here. I'd been wanting to try vessel for a while, so I was super excited when my coworkers decided to go here for lunch. It is in a great location with mountain views. The inside is spacious with lots of seating. They have speciality bowls on the menu with premade creations. They also have the option to build a custom plate with 1 protein and 2 sides. It feels like meal prep. They also offer naan tacos. I got the Al pastor naan tacos, and they were really good. I also tried the sweet potato side. The tacos were really good with all the toppings. I think the sweet potatoes would be good in a dish, but they were a little bland without anything on them. They had cans of soda, so I was able to get a Diet Coke. The hummus was rosemary which was really good. The pickled veggies were a little vinegary for my liking. The pita was absolutely delicious with a soft interior and crunchy exterior. My friend got the custom bowl, but didn't have guidance in how to order. She liked everything, but would have been better if she knew what went well with the protein she wanted. Vessel always hits the spot. It's a huge variety of interesting, delicious food for all tastes in a casual setting. I love the steelhead trout and the tuna- can't go wrong with either one, so much flavor! Other faves include the toasted Brussels sprouts, falafel, hummus, and avocado toast, and sweet potato hash. My husband loves the Mac and cheese, beef, and mashed potatoes (what he calls the "all American", haha!) I wish they hadn't changed their poke bowl ingredients this year, because the Thai carrot slaw and couscous was a perfect match with the tuna and avocado. But maybe they'll ultimately change it to something better next time. I always ask for cups with ice, since they don't have ice dispensers out, and the staff are very accommodating. Not a huge fan. We ordered 4 things to go. It took 5 minutes to for the ashier to input the order. Uncle Rico was bland. The chicken lemon salad was terrible. No salad dressing (even though I asked about it when ordering) and the chicken breast was very dry. The spicy beef tacos had good flavor but when we ate them 10 minutes after leaving the restaurant the naan was super mushy. They forgot to give us the hummus and Pita, even after I asked the server to make sure the order was complete. Servings a bit small so value is lacking. And the smashed avocado side, which was $4, was about 2 Tablespoons. On the bright side, the chocolate brownie cookie was good. read more

Wow. Usually I stay away from restaurants that are "health food" restaurants. But my friends convinced me to try here. I was blown away. They have some of the best, fresh food around. First of all, get their protein plates. It's the way to go. Their grilled chicken is a cheddar crusted chicken breast that is super juicy and excellently seasoned. Their shredded beef bursts with flavor and juices, and this places doesn't hold back on the quantity! The corn is sweet and salty, the cauliflower is grilled beautifully and has a little punch with the seasoning. The Mac n cheese is super cheesy and the noodles are cooked al dente. The pita and hummus is amazing. Some of the best pita I've ever had - it tastes like an unsweetened funnel cake! Overall an awesome meal with so many good items. read more

It seems a little backward to walk in front of the food all the way to the register to order instead of ordering first, then walk down to pay, but that's the setup. It did give us a chance to decide what we wanted, having only been here once before. The place was very clean. The servers didn't volunteer help, but once we asked questions, they were very animated and forthcoming with information. When Vessel Kitchen first opened, their menu changed with the seasons; they bought and cooked what was in season (I forgot to ask if they still do this). I ordered the two taco plate and opted for the mixed and match combo. The tacos are served over Naan and were quite plentiful (but at $5.50 each they should be). I ordered one pork taco and one falafel taco. The flavors were spot on. The pork was quite dry, but the sauce covered it well. The falafel was crunchy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. It was very filling! My husband got the poke bowl. He loved the carrot slaw (saying it was kimchi reminiscent), Israeli couscous, and yellow fin, but felt the guacamole was out of place on the flavor profile. We also ordered a side of pita chips that came with hummus. They were fun and delicious! I hesitated to get it for an additional $4, but we would get it again. Bottom line, next time my friend wants to grab lunch, I will suggest coming here, sharing a taco plate and side of pita. read more

Simple elegance fresh taste is what you will get here. It as though you walked through a farmers market and all the vendors got together to spice up life just for you. The hash hash is a prime example of this. The combination of ingredients is a spring medley of smells and textures that after a long winter your tongue is begging for. This was my second time here and it had been a while since the first; and one of my first comments to my lovely wife after the first bite was "why do we not come here more often?"
