    Ramblin Platter
    David O.

Ramblin Roads was a quality breakfast diner-ish place with food portions and frequent the coffee refills. I guess it's a Utah chain. I got the Ramblin Platter. It's usually a good idea order the stuff named after the restaurant. Ramblin Platter did not disappoint this hungryboi. I ordered the eggs over easy and they came looking great layered over meats and taters. The taters soaked up the runny yoke. Gotta love it. If rambling in Utah again for a few days, I'd have breakfast at Ramblin Roads again for sure. Do it.

I love a good skillet/platter. Next to a good hash it's my favorite way to receive all that breakfast goodness. Ramblin Roads has a pretty good one in the Country Platter, which is basically a country-fried steak with country gravy over country potatoes and, I guess, country eggs. All I know is that slops together wonderfully in the dish and slops together even more wonderfully once it's in my belly. The atmosphere is what you'd expect out of dinner. And to me it felt super chill and home-y. Some diners go for a more modern bright-lit aesthetic, sterile and metallic, but the best diners are the ones that feel a little rustic and lived-in, wood and paint. The service is great here too--friendly and on the ball with the refills and special requests. I don't know when I'm going to be in Utah again, but this would not be a bad place to come back to if I do.

These types of places usually land on my itinerary at breakfast time, but last night it ended up being a dinner gathering spot-and I was not mad about it! (Although I'm sure I'll end up here for breakfast in the very near future.) It's got a diner feel to it, but not the dirty, greasy spoon kind. More like your grandma's kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. The place can get a little busy and the servers are rushing around trying to keep up-so exercise a little patience. I was impressed by the menu-there's quite a bit on there, and they have a liquor license so you can get an adult beverage, if that's something you want to do. I enjoyed the country fried chicken while my son had a cheeseburger. Both were filling and delicious. Next time, I'm going to convince him to try the liver and onions-it's probably amazing! I'll be back!

Saw a post on IG about Ramblin Roads, and knew we had to come in. Our grandparents have spoken about Liver and Onions for ages, and this place is one of the only locations we could find that had it on the menu. While the grandparents were highly satisfied, my wife and I also found some delicious meals. The classic burger hit the spot, and the Chicken Alfredo was some of the tastiest pasta I've had in quite some time. Individual servings of pie available to take care of that sweet tooth after dinner. Staff did great taking care of the entire party.

After moving into the area we were looking for good breakfast/brunch spots. Came to yelp and saw this restaurant was rated actually well. Unfortunately this restaurant did NOT live up to its rating for us. I do want to say our waitress Kassie was so so friendly and gave us excellent service but the food and "spicy" Bloody Mary was just not good. Ham steak was good and husband said he wished he had ordered it. Unfortunately we both ordered our hash browns crispy and my husband's came out cold. Our toddles hash browns came out crispier than ours. Husband said CFS tasted like it was a frozen meal. Overall underwhelming and won't be back.

Quality breakfast meals. Diner vibe. Did have a tiny alcohol menu - didn't see mimosas though. Had to get the Navajo taco cause I never see it on a menu.

A restaurant close to my work that has pebble ice and crisp Diet Coke?? Yuuuup that's my kinda place! I've been wanting to try Ramblin Roads since it is close to my work, and it did not disappoint. When I walked in I was greeted by a kind host. He sat me immediately and was very friendly. The vibe inside was nice. My server, Brittany, came and got my drink order right away. The Diet Coke brew was REALLY good. Super crisp and good flavor. Also loved the pebble ice with it. It is $4 tho so you're def paying for it. I looked over the whole menu, and there are SO MANY good options. I def want to go back and try more. As soon as I set the menu down, Brittany was back at my table ready to take my order. I decided on the pulled pork sandwich special. It was delicious. The bread was super soft. The pork was cooked amazingly. It also came with onions and coleslaw that added both crunch and flavor. Really yummy!! The French fries were also they kind with like the breading on them which are one of my favorite types of fries. Delish!!! Everything here was great! I also thought the valentines menu they had posted looked amazing. I will def be back to try more.

I came here for brunch with my boyfriend the other morning. We were seated immediately, and our orders were taken quickly after by our server Mandy. She was so friendly and bubbly! My boyfriend got the Country Platter with a Scone, and I got the Strawberry Stuffed French Toast with a side of sausage and over easy eggs. Our food came out pretty quickly. I really enjoyed my French toast. I didn't need to add any extra syrup because it was the perfect sweetness level for me. It was nice that it wasn't overly sweet like it can be at other places. The sausage and scone were two of my favorite parts of our meal. I loved the snap and flavor on the sausage. The scone was delicious as well, especially with the honey butter and strawberry jam. I definitely recommend trying an Utah Scone if you haven't yet! The prices were very reasonable. Parking was pretty easy in the lot. Overall it was a great brunch, and I'll definitely be back!

Pretty decor in the old Epic space. Tables are a nice sparkly acrylic marble-look. Staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served all day (check hours as they close at 2:00 on Sunday and Monday). We had lasagna and the berry crepes. The crepes were delicious! Filled with a berry flavored creamy filling, and topped with fresh ripe berries. It came with hashbrowns, two eggs, and your choice of bacon or sausage. I had sausage links, which were crisp and flavorful. The lasagna came with a salad, and garlic bread. It would have benefited from a better sauce/meat/cheese/noodle ratio. It was heavy on sauce and meat and light on cheese and noodle. The flavor was good.

Went there for the first time today with my husband and I don't think that we have been treated so poorly on a restaurant before. We ordered a few plates so we could try other meals we usually don't eat (crepes) My husband ordered his breakfast with sausage, bacon, hash browns (which were raw) and he asked for a side of biscuits and gravy.. when the server brought our food we got a whole meal biscuits and gravy (flavorless and cold) hashbrown (raw) and sausage .. my husband told the server that he only order a side of the B&G and the server proceeded to argue with him which ruined all the experience and on top of that charge us for the whole meal we didn't asked for.. its was his mistake and he argued with us.. so rude! He never came back to check on us or take our plates until it was time for the check I'm giving 3 stars only because my eggs Benedict's and the crepes where good but never coming back ...

Excellent spot for breakfast!! Clean restaurant, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, Sara was sweet and great service! Coffee cup was always full. Hash browns were perfectly toasted on top, cooked throughout and not greasy! Bacon had GREAT flavor. The mixed berry crepes were to die for, not overly sweet with the mix of berry flavors and a decadent filling. Killer!! Can't wait to come back

My first time at this eatery was driven by some family friends who couldn't shut up about how great it was. This morning my wife and I went to follow and verify these loft claims. They weren't wrong. I got the blueberry and lemon crepes, which came with a large side dish of hashed browns, eggs to taste, and either sausage or bacon. They were beautifully plated, an artistic delivery that matched the multilayered flavors and tastes. I think my wife was talking to me but I couldn't concentrate with something that scrumptious in front of me. And oh my goodness the scones! For $2 you get a huge fluffy scone the size of a small couch pillow. I kid you not. The restaurant was very clean and well lit. Attractive decor and smiling service from both the hostess as well as server (Sara was incredible!). I appreciated that the food arrived quickly, was hot, accurate--and most importantly, delicious. Everything was made from scratch and none of it was overly salty. Just delicious.

Happen to find this place on Google, it was a good choice we did not wait long we actually beat the morning rush. The weather was nice so we sat outside and ate and enjoyed the weather their patio was clean and spacious and they played music while u sat. Our waiter was on point very friendly and kind. We did not wait long to order or get our food. I tried the sausage and egg and pancake the sausage was very huge and yummy and everything was cooked great! My husband had a dish that had these delicious square potatoes and all in all the breakfast was good! Highly recommend this place. We also tried the scone!!! Can't compare to a frybread but it was good. Plenty of parking space and staff was friendly.

So I think in talking to most of my friends I got a good view on the food, and presentation. I had a starter of Totchos, and the Beef Dipper for my entrée. Both were excellent, I shared my Totchos. These are tater tot nachos, they were excellent, normally I don't like cheese sauce on Nachos, but given the consistency and flavor of this sauce (house made, I'm guessing. Not canned) They were excellent. The Beef Dipper and Au Jus, also top notch! Generally in a French dip, there is a lot of fatty pieces, this was not that. Also at my table was the Chile Verde bowl, this one has a kick... but my friend having it really enjoyed it. The fish and chips was great, smelled fresh. Lets talk about the sides. Choice of Fries (appeared to be battered fries, always a favorite of mine.) Tots, or house made potato chips. I had the Potato Chips with mine, these were excellent, crisp and tender on the inside. The Athena (Lamb Burger) got rave reviews from one at the table The Service: Because we were in a large group they advised us they were going to be taking our orders as we came in so not to overwhelm the kitchen staff. Excellent communication throughout service given that we were a large group. I talked to one of the Owners, Laurie, I could tell she had a huge sense of pride in the place. Very friendly! The Restaurant: Great atmosphere, Fun artwork, best of all, VERY Clean, nothing sticky or no grease buildup on any surface. The glass ware on the wall behind the bar as all polished. In the bar area they stack their silver, tableware, condiments etc. in a cute little cozy box on the table, with the main dining area setup as a diner with the traditional paper napkin and silverware. For a diner motif to have shined silver and glassware is a nice touch! Summary: Eat here! The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent, when I looked at the menu online I was a little put off by no actual entrée's on the dinner menu, however the in house experience made up for that, it's a pub food vibe and they are doing it well!

The server was quick and attentive, and checked on us just the right amount. I ordered the Country Fried Steak, with hashbrowns, over-easy eggs and sourdough toast. There was easily a pound or more of hashbrowns, some of it crispy, some of it soft. It was unseasoned, but tasted great with some salt and cholula. The over-easy eggs were a bit under cooked which was fine, better than over cooked. I added it on top of my strawberry jam, sourdough toast, hell yeah. The country fried steak was decent, it was served in a white gravy, not much else to say here. I also got a scone. A+ highly recommended, because it's yuge, and came out fresh. The food is actually amazing, and clearly made with love! I got their garlic burger which was just incredible, served with a generous portion of delicious fries! and my friend got huge stack of pancakes topped with ice cream and fresh fruit that I tried a little of and also adored! We also both had their raspberry lemonade, and I got an extra side of sausages. It was all so amazing. and even tho I saw the pricing on the menu, I was honestly expecting to spend about double what I actually paid (I seem to have generous rounded up too much in my head). Our server was funny, personable, and attentive, especially when it came to drinks and refills. Things started going downhill when I received my entree, the Poor Man's Truffle. Unfortunately, the only way this dish lived up to its name was in how little the supposedly high-quality ingredients seemed to come through. The dish itself is fairly simple, which normally isn't a bad thing when the ingredients are meant to speak for themselves. With Belper Knolle, truffle oil, pistachio pesto, tomato, fennel, and arugula, I expected something flavorful and well balanced. Instead, the entire dish tasted incredibly mild. Belper Knolle is typically a bold, salty, peppery cheese, and I could visibly see the black pepper around the edges of the thin shavings, but the flavor barely registered. I also couldn't taste the truffle oil at all. There was visible oil pooling at the bottom of the plate, but no noticeable truffle flavor. I understand pistachio pesto tends to be more subtle than a traditional basil pesto, but altogether, this dish just fell completely flat for me. The presentation didn't help either. It looked more like something that had been scooped from a pan and dropped onto the plate than a thoughtfully plated entree. When a dish misses both on flavor and presentation, that's when it becomes a real disappointment for me. I will say the gnocchi itself was cooked well, which was one of the few positives. I also tried the burger, and it was significantly better than my pasta. However, the very small sprinkle of bacon was a little baffling considering it was an additional upcharge. Where the night really went downhill was at the end of the meal. I had been excited to try the beignets because that isn't a dessert I see on menus very often. Our entree plates were cleared, and then we waited about 20 minutes before our server returned and asked whether we were ready for the check. Dessert wasn't mentioned, and by that point our table was tired of waiting, so we decided to skip it and asked for our checks. Then our server disappeared for another 30 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a hostess who was seating another table and let her know that we were still waiting for the check. About five minutes later, our server finally returned and casually explained how "crazy" the night had gotten because of the show. I understand restaurants get busy, but the apology felt very dismissive after we had waited nearly an hour from finishing our entrees to finally receiving the check. It genuinely felt like our table had simply been forgotten. I also want to add that I tend to hold restaurants like this to a higher standard. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for." If I'm eating at a fast-food spot or somewhere inexpensive and casual, there's only so much room to complain. But when a restaurant has prices like this, highlights premium ingredients on the menu, and presents itself as a more elevated dining experience, I think that naturally opens the food and service up to more criticism. At that price point, I expect the quality, presentation, and overall experience to reflect what I'm paying for. My final takeaway is that maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Pesto is one of my favorite things, so I almost always want to give a pesto-based dish a try. Unfortunately, Prohibition's pesto gnocchi was not it for me. I also saw that they describe themselves as a scratch kitchen using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, which I don't necessarily doubt. What confused me was how so many ingredients that should have distinct flavors somehow tasted like almost nothing. If your goal is interesting drinks and a fun show, this is probably still a place worth considering. Since we sat outside, I can't speak on the show part, but it seems to be a big hit. Food-wise, though, it missed the mark for me.

We finally got a chance to order and each of us ordered something different. I tried the Thai Coconut Pancakes which sounded delicious. Sadly we waited and waited again for our food and then it arrived in stages. Anyone that runs a restaurant kitchen knows that patrons want to each together at the same time. Our dishes came out one by one with significant timing gaps between them. It made our experience a little disappointing. My pancakes never came out. I said something to one server and she said she'd check on it. Several minutes went by and still nothing and our own server didn't even check back in on us. I went inside to see where my pancakes were and they said there was a mistake and they were still working on it. Finally after the other 3 in our party were just about finished eating my Thai Coconut Pancakes arrived. I will say the pancakes were delicious, flavorful and quite unique. I would order this dish again but I must say based on the slow service experience we had today I'm a bit hesitant to return to Jeffi's.
