Haven't been here in a while and I don't remember it being so dirty. All of the serving utensils are either half in the uncovered food or has leftover bits that are left out to get to room temperature, which is definitely how food borne pathogens are spread. Not only that, no one is using gloves so when they grab the food, they place the contaminated tongs back inside where the food is, again another vector of pathogen transmission. There was a glitch on the online order website where Uber eats wasn't able to deliver for 1 hour after the time I requested. I was concerned as I needed 15 orders to fuel our volleyball team before an important match. I called Vessel and had the good fortune of being able to work with Abed. I explained the situation and he took quick action to cancel my online order and inputted all 15 orders with players' names into the system for take out. We picked up the order (after walking 2.2 miles. Abed had water ready for us!!!!! SUPER THOUGHTFUL!) and everything was perfectly labeled. The food was delicious and we won the important match!!!! They asked if I wanted the chicken instead of the falafel that the bowl comes with and I said no, I want the falafel too and to add chicken for extra. They added the chicken for $7 extra and it was only $5 extra when I went last week with the same order but I was like you know what, it's fine. So the bowl was about $21 total. It took 30 minutes for my bowl to be done. They felt bad and asked if I wanted a drink on the house which was nice. So while it took a while I was not mad about that. What I'm mad about is that they took that long and when I got home and opened my order, they didn't give me falafel. So they charged me $7 for extra protein--which made it pretty pricey--and they didn't give me all the food I had ordered and paid for. And they gave me israeli pico which I had asked not to have, just another side thing. I would've gone back and just asked for the correct order but they had closed for the night by the time I got home. Normally, you would think carrots would be kind of weird, but they seem to be pickled in something spicy, which was very tasty and they were cut very thin. The tuna sitting on the couscous and quinoa mix was different and I was glad I wasn't eating the normal rice that you would get on a poke bowl. Very flavorful. My spouse got some sort of meat bowl that came with purple lettuce, black beans, corn, avocado, a good scoop of the meat and was a generous portion.
