Clean and great view overlooking south temple. No bathrooms, you have to go into Nordstrom for that. Delicious food! Perfect sandwich, turkey avocado and bacon. The fries are thin cut and seasoned. Friendly staff that had our table cleaned and ready when I walked in ahead of my party. They have a simple seasonal menu and a year-round selection of sandwiches, soups, salads, and the safe bets of pasta or fish and chips. I personally had the July seasonal drink called Lilac Fizz (lavender syrup, lemon, soda) about $8 and the mushroom ravioli. The table got the parmesan garlic ciabatta, heirloom tomatoes & burrata, and the kung pao brussels sprouts. Everything was about a 7/10 good but not incredible. Our server was super friendly, and is a doppelganger of Adam Samberg - which added to the experience! This place has the BEST salads hands down, and their crab bisque is to DIE FOR - if you want a place that is guaranteed a great meal, this is the spot. This place also has one of the best calamari we've ever had, and there are only a handful of places that does this dish well. For dessert, their bread pudding is phenomenal - not the typical bread pudding you normally get anywhere (served with white chocolate sauce and fresh cranberries) but it's the BEST version of bread pudding I've had in my life! However, I've noticed through the years that their serving of bread pudding has shrunk (it used to be a thicker slice). read more

During our annual work conference at the Marriott Downtown at City Creek, this place is such a treat for any introverts (like me) who need to escape to a quieter atmosphere to recharge and eat delicious food. It's tucked away inside an actual Nordstrom store, but don't let that dissuade you. I'm from a smaller town that doesn't have a Nordstrom, and while the clothes can sometimes give me sticker shock, the restaurant was refreshingly affordable for the higher quality lunch I had there. You could almost miss it walking past it, if you weren't looking for it, and I LOVE that. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and nice too. Give it a try! read more

Food is good! Been going to this place for years and have giving them tons of business. The last couple times I've been there the service was off and it took an hour to get our food. They use to have friendly employees and quick service. They all have a cool factor now that ignoring the customers is somehow hip. Sad to see this place fall victim to SLC's counter culture of misfit employees. If you happen to get a server named Sofia ask for somebody different rude and dismissive the GM needs to do better. read more

Beyond impressed! It's for a Cafe vibe (I was in for lunch) and while they have seating at the bar I thought to enjoy a seat to myself. My waiter was amazing. I had just travelled 8 hrs total and really appreciated how kind he was. I ended getting the Spicy Wild Shrimp Pomodoro with a side of fries. Best decision besides coming here to eat. It was not very spicy to me and it still felt like and refreshing even though I was overheated. The fries are the kind you have to share even though you don't want to cause otherwise with this dip you will eat the whole plate by yourself. I did. Didn't even mind. I'm obsessed with the cauliflower green goddess salad right now!! It's amazing if you like spinach and cauliflower of course. All the salads are good and plentiful and priced steep. But worth it and easily can be shared. The crab bisque is another favorite of mine and full of crab. Delicious. Pretty good kids menu that's healthy and portioned well. Service is excellent every time I've been even the time they refused my little Yorkie and I to dine in the restaurant. Oh well now I know. Pets can shop with you just not eat with you in the restaurant but you can take it to go and eat outside on the tables and chairs downstairs by the fountain. read more

What happened to this place!? I went last night 4/27/24 and it was bad. First, our server said they were out of or didn't have time to prep a bunch of dishes. They are really short staffed apparently. Second, the food I did have was prepared differently than in past visits and not in a good way. Had a fantastic lunch at this grill tucked in the back of Nordstrom's 2nd floor. Started with the Chef special appetizer, chorizo stuffed mushrooms. Wow- tasty bites with great flavor. Not sure how often these are offered but they are worth asking about! Then had the crab bisque. Was thrilled to see it had a good amount of lump crab in the bisque. Really delicious. And finally had the shrimp & Crab Louie salad. MAN.. that was a really big salad and the shrimp were JUMBO :) My friend had the chicken noodle soup and BLTA Salad and also said both were tasty and she'd definitely order them again. All in, we had a fantastic lunch and were glad to have given this grill a chance since we were leery of trying any place inside a department store. But this grill...oh yeah, we'll be back next time we're in town! read more

If you'd asked me to review this most of my life, I would've given it five stars. It's been a mainstay in my life. Pre-Pandemic I could always count on it. Delicious woodfired pizzas always acceptable service at least. Now, rather than an integrated part of the shopping experience, which has also been very diminished it seems like an afterthought and you might have a decent meal. There might be something good on the menu, but , then again, maybe not. Ahhhhh Nordstrom how I loved thee... let me count the ways . What has happened to my Nordstrom? I could always count on you guys. Now I get irritated sales people who are busy talking to their buddies on their cell phones. A greatly reduced degree of fashion in their selection. True to Nordstrom form, this place has ah-mazing food and service! This particular grill is only full service. No walk up counter options. Of COURSE I gravitated towards the crab mac n' cheese! Been wanting to try this place for a while and I wish I would've tried it sooner. The food was amazing and our server was great. The service was a little slow, but that's because our server had a lot of tables (TBH I think she had all the tables); she managed it well though and our drinks never ran dry. I got the burger and it was great! The aioli that they serve with their fries is different, but good. I would ask for ketchup, too, just in case you don't like the aioli. Also, in my party we got the French dip and that, too, was very good and tasty. It was on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it. Definitely will be back. Oh and try their desserts! We came here because we know that Nordstrom Grill or Café always serves excellent food and give great service. Again that was exactly what we received. We were pressed for time because we were attending a convention and forgot to take pictures of our food. I ordered my favorite Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad. Excellent as always! The other menu selections were: Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata Cheese, Burger and Turkey Avocado sandwich. Everyone loved what they ordered. read more

5 stars for EVERYTHING! We had an impromptu dinner turned date night here. We didn't realize that Nordstrom Grill actually closes an hour earlier than City Creek does so we were those jerks who walked in 15 minutes before closing. But to my surprise, the hostess ushered us in with a friendly welcome as if we weren't the ones keeping everyone from going home. The fantastic service continued onto our server who was super patient, friendly, and made fantastic recommendations. We got calamari as an appetizer and it was pretty good. The crab mac and flank steak were delicious! The star of the show was the White Chocolate Bread Pudding though. The portion was already pretty big to share between two but the server said that it used to be bigger and they had to downsize the portion because it was like 1,000 calories. Well shoot, if 1,000 calories tasted like this bread pudding, it's WORTH covering up during bikini season. Overall, our experience here was amazing. Food tasted great, service was welcoming, and the ambiance was the perfect balance of feeling "fancy" but also casual. Highly recommend this place! read more

At the OR show in Salt Lake City and I'm trying a vegan diet. Instead of eating at the food booths, we decided to walk over tot he Nordstrom Cafe. I mean, it's Nordstrom's so it's gotta be good! I ordered the grilled vegetable salad (less cheese) which included grilled asparagus, corn and squash and it is very good. It had the right amount of salad dressing and avocado. I was impressed with another vegan dish. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries as well and they were sprinkled with sea salt - very good. The other menu items looked great as well. My co-worker ordered the cilantro Lime shrimp salad and he also said it was very good. I would recommend this place as a lunch destination especially for those attending the OR show this year. 4 stars because I expected a few more vegetarian friendly options from Nordstrom cafe. read more

Prices run you about $10-15 an entree which I don't think is too bad considering how much food you get and how delicious it is! It's located on the second floor of Nordstrom and it's totally worth the trek through overpriced clothing. Yeah, I love Nordstrom but I'm too frugal to shop there. Great, quiet spot for lunch downtown if you want to be away from the larger crowds. I prefer this spot for a solo working lunch and have always been able to get a decently sized space to pull my laptop out and get some reading and writing done over a nice lunch. The food is good and fitting of a small grill style restaurant; though I usually go pretty light if I'm having a lunch here--such as the Strawberry Almond Chicken salad or grilled vegetables--so I cannot speak to the full menu. Service is great and they're very accomodating when it comes to getting me everything I need and understanding that I'm sneaking in some work while dining. read more

We came here and tried the dine-o-round dinner and it was so good. I've never had brussel sprouts before this meal and if they always taste like how they were prepared here, I don't understand the big fuss about them. They gave us free rolls and butter with our meal and we got the sparkling mint limeade extra which included free refills! The prime rib French dip sandwich was so good. There was so much flavor and thin layers of prime rib. We asked for the fries to be extra crispy and they did not disappoint. The olive aioli wasn't for me but my boyfriend really liked it. We got both desserts because we couldn't decide on which and me being a dessert lover enjoyed both. I love this place. It is hidden inside of Nordstrom at City Creek and is usually pretty quick to get a seat. City Creek was busy today with lines for many of the nearby restaurants. But we went here and got a seat within a couple minutes. Their menu changes every so often but they have some consistent menu items that are fantastic. The fries are really good, skinny, crispy and just the right amount of seasoning. Today I had the French Dip. It looks small but it filled me up just fine. The meat was a little raw for my liking today, and the au jus was a little salty. But overall the taste was great! I like how at the end of the meal they bring you a small piece of mint chocolate to cleanse the palate. read more
