Cobb salad with tail on grilled shrimp hits
    Richard H.

What can I say but the Cobb with grilled shrimp was a winner for my dinner tonight as I wanted something light. Everything was perfect including the service at 5:15 pm on a Thursday! Highly recommend this dish!

We were initially just shopping around Nordstrom and came across their restaurant? So we had to try it out bc it threw us off completely and thank goodness we did! The food was amazing and the service was even more appreciated considering our waiter Conner offered us dessert on him due to them not having anymore crème brûlée which wasn't an issue at all but it was really cool of him being that considerate to give us a great experience on top of the nice atmosphere.10/10

The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The cost is over priced for what you get. We ordered the French dip the bread was perfect but the beef had some chewy parts. The roasted cauliflower Cobb salad was lacking and the avocado had brown spots. Overall it was meh.

Ick ick ICK! I paid $20 for my French Dip Sandwich and French Fries. SO disappointed. The meat was almost nothing but fat. Lumpy, bumpy, chunky FAT. I'm sure my waitress was concerned with me picking apart the sandwich but not worth $20. Fries were mediocre and the aioli dipping sauce did not pair well with the rosemary used on the fries. Two way-too-strong flavors.

Been coming to Nordy's Cafe (what we called it at home) for over 20+ years now! First time at this location and it did not disappoint! Our server was super friendly, and is a doppelganger of Adam Samberg - which added to the experience! This place has the BEST salads hands down, and their crab bisque is to DIE FOR - if you want a place that is guaranteed a great meal, this is the spot. This place also has one of the best calamari we've ever had, and there are only a handful of places that does this dish well. For dessert, their bread pudding is phenomenal - not the typical bread pudding you normally get anywhere (served with white chocolate sauce and fresh cranberries) but it's the BEST version of bread pudding I've had in my life! However, I've noticed through the years that their serving of bread pudding has shrunk (it used to be a thicker slice).

Salmon Oscar with the sauce on the side for my teenager. Phenomenal!

I love whenever I can catch a lunch at a Nordstrom Grill and this was no exception!! Just flew in and came to the downtown shopping center. So glad to have this option! We ordered the salmon Oscar (sauce on the side) and the gnocchi with chicken meatballs. Both entrees were excellent! I would highly recommend both. Service was also excellent!! I would highly recommend to all!

Stopped in and ordered the French onion soup which was amazing excellent I've had french onion soup in different places but this one by far exceeds the best it was amazing and I had to place a comment. The tomato soup was excellent I loved everything that they had to offer and we had the most amazing waitress Sophia who attended to our every need when we needed it. She was very professional and it was a refreshing experience and service.

Wow! What a fantastic dining experience. My mom and I were…read morein town for a few days and a local bartender recommended Urban Hill. The interior has a classy but not overdone ambiance. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and exactly the right amount of present (if you know what I mean). I enjoyed the maitake on rice with cashew cream and it was delicious. The salty mushrooms were mellowed by the chewy rice. The cashew cream gave a nice variation in texture. I didn't leave a morsel behind. The harissa carrots were nice as well. They are cooked soft and have a moderate spice level that is again contrasted by the mild labneh and tahini base. I had to save the rolls with herb better for last. Oh. My. God. These were divine. I'm a sucker for bread of any kind but these are what the Hawaiian dinner rolls wish they could be. They are perfectly pillowy and the herb butter just elevates them. Do not miss these for more "sophisticated" fare. If I lived here, I would definitely come back. Everything was considered and well-executed. Bravo

Like many people, we were excited to dine at a restaurant led by a chef who has beaten Bobby Flay. We arrived for our 8:15 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, from that point on, the service became increasingly confusing. Our server seemed flustered from the beginning and even commented that she wanted to make sure everything was right for our experience. When ordering drinks, I asked for a root beer and was told they had one. A few minutes later I was informed they actually didn't and was given a Dr Pepper instead. No big deal--I didn't want to make an issue of it. The bigger problems started with the food service. There were three of us. Two ordered the filet, and one ordered the chicken. The first entrées brought to our table weren't ours at all and had to be taken away. When our actual meals arrived, they were still mixed up. I was served the chicken despite ordering the filet. The same thing happened with dessert. We ordered two Baked Alaskas and one Lemon Cake. Again, the desserts were delivered to the wrong people. These weren't major issues individually, but when they happen repeatedly throughout one meal, it takes away from what should have been an outstanding dining experience. Now for the positive... The kitchen absolutely delivered. The filet was cooked perfectly. The chicken was outstanding. Presentation was beautiful. The Baked Alaska was one of the best I've had. The food easily earns five stars. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience did not. To make matters worse, after I finished the Dr Pepper that I hadn't originally ordered, my glass sat empty for roughly 45 minutes. No refill was offered, and I eventually had to ask for another beverage while dessert was being served. One final observation... The receipt included an optional surcharge for the back-of-house staff. I understand it could be removed upon request, but I don't believe guests should be placed in the position of deciding how restaurant employees are compensated. Pay your team well, price the menu accordingly, and let guests simply enjoy their meal. Urban Hill has one of the most talented kitchens I've experienced in quite some time. If the service can reach the same level as the food, this restaurant would easily deserve five stars.

However, additional details create a loving connection - it's off-Broadway central location, the copper-paneled ceiling that mimics warm conversations in varied spaces (cocktail, chef's counter, expandable tables for groups, and outdoor), fresh, locally-sourced ingredients with service to match. It's the place where I had my first glass of Turley Zinfandel (education alongside), and the place I will always return for my favorite Wagyu Beef Stroganoff (a comfort from home, but upscale). This one delivered with large, firm, expertly seasoned portobello & forest mushrooms over wide, freshly handmade pappardelle pasta that soaks up rich beef stock (a touch of black pepper) blended with crème fraîche. A generous portion of wagyu is tender and rich. PRO TIP: Mix then let it sit & marinade a minute - flavor pays in dividends. For dessert, a Valhrona Chocolate Pudding topped with whip cream and Maldon flake salt - exquisite, but expensive. The texture is comforting and delicious - olive oil adds a lingering finish with slight fruit.

I informed her that we had a reservation under my name, John, but she simply looked at her list, seemed annoyed, and told us to wait anyway. While we were waiting, we watched several parties of two arrive after us with reservations at 8:10, 8:15, and even 8:20, and they were seated before us. After waiting about 20 minutes, I went back to ask how much longer it would be. I was told it would be another 20 minutes. I reminded Carleigh that we had a reservation, and her response was, "Oh, you did?" She then asked for my full name and phone number, looked up the reservation, apologized, and immediately escorted us to a table that appeared to have been ready the entire time. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Reservations are made so guests don't have to wait behind people who arrive later. It felt like our reservation had been completely ignored until I spoke up a second time. Whether this was poor organization or a lack of attention, the level of service at the front desk was unacceptable. We came looking forward to a nice family dinner, but the experience started with unnecessary frustration and left a very poor first impression. I sincerely hope additional training is provided so this doesn't happen to other guests.

Honestly the cheese course was not my favorite. It was good cheese, but I didn't think the greens paired well with it so it really was just cheese, which I found a little disappointing. However the entrees more than made up for it. The pasta especially was absolutely delicious, the braised beef cheek was cooked so perfectly it melted in my mouth. Not to mention I ended up breaking out in hives at the start of the meal (unrelated to the food) and the staff was so kind. They quickly boxed our food and even brought me some Claritin to help tide me over. The food was piping hot when they boxed it and traveled beautifully, which was a bonus for sure. For brunch, my husband had the burger with a fried egg and I had their special of the day: chilaquiles. This might have been the best chilaquiles I've had in the valley. The pork was delicious, the poached egg was actually perfect, and the chips still kept their crunch which is usually my biggest gripe. I didn't try the burger, but my husband was raving about it. I would highly recommend Oquirrh.

It was slightly overcooked, and the patty was quite thin, lacking the quality and flavor that the beautiful setting promises. On the positive side, the service was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly throughout our meal. Heart & Hill has all the ingredients to be a standout destination.
