I brought my male cat here on a Friday around 11pm due to a urinary issue. My cat was growling and howling while licking his genital area. He was unable to urinate. When I called, the staff answered right away and advised me to bring him in. I waited for about 30 minutes to an hour (I don't remember exactly because of the adrenaline). The other patrons I sat with were amazing, we talked to each other and I feel like it helped us stay calm. I was shaking while I filled out the paperwork. They came to get my cat. I sat in the lobby for a while before they brought me into a private room. The vet came in after about 15-30 minutes (again I was so anxious I would not be able to give a perfect estimate). The vet was incredibly kind, let me know my cat's urethra was not blocked. The vet tech who came in was amazing. I wish I got her name. She explained the diagnosis to me and even gave me a sticky note for a water fountain that worked for her cat with FIC diagnosis. They gave him a buprenorphine injection for the pain and sent us home with an oral med for his pain. Unfortunately he did get worse the next day. In the evening he got into my bed and refused to eat or drink. I put a litter box in the room with food and water and closed the door to ensure he didn't have any stress. I decided to call the vet again and ask about his symptoms. They again answered immediately and recommended that I bring him in that evening. I brought him back and the staff triaged him appropriately. He was seen within 30 minutes. They again brought me to a private room. At this point I was not as stressed as I was the previous day, so I remember the doctor's name. Dr. Abernathy was amazing and explained everything at each step. The doctor came in a few times before the vet tech came in with an estimate. They let us know that typically people do not have the funds straight up for the treatment and let us know about Cherry, a 0% APR (for certain plans) payment plan. We signed up for cherry and only paid the first month's deposit straight up. The receptionist was amazing also, very comforting through the entire thing. They call and give updates about every 12 hours, but answer immediately if you would like an update from the vet techs before then about general treatment questions. As a customer, I have read the negative reviews of this emergency vet. Many reviews complain of the money required to treat their pet. They say that the staff either pressured them into the payment plan or to euthanasia. What I can say is that even if that is the case, veterinary offices are businesses unfortunately and do require payment or else they will lose money and be unable to operate, so maybe we should fight for more funds to be given to veterinary offices to save animal lives. You cannot just leave the cost to the people who operate the clinic and treat the patients or else they would be paid nothing. This is on all of us. Human hospitals receive way more funds if the bill isn't paid which is the difference. It isn't because the vet doesn't care. I'm sure that the euthanasia talk after an estimate for care is an attempt to get the patient to stop suffering if the owner will not pay for treatment. I do not discount anyone's experience or feelings, but please think of the staff before you make comments that are out of emotion. Every staff member I met cares deeply for animals. read more

VEST must have seen us coming, because they quoted us nearly $14,000.00. The doctor, who I'm not sure even likes animals or people, said to us "Don't let the Botox fool you, I'm 50." I don't know why she said it, because it wasn't relevant and made us feel uncomfortable. We were there because our pet was sick not to stroke her ego. Also, it is not fooling anyone. We took our pet home and he's doing fine without the invasive things they wanted to put him through. P.S. Pets should be examined with their owners present, especially when they're sick and anxious. I am deeply disappointed with our experience at VEST during one of the most difficult days of our lives. We brought our young German Shepherd to VEST with severe aspiration pneumonia. From the moment we arrived, we felt pressured toward making end-of-life decisions rather than feeling supported while trying to understand all available treatment options. We understand that emergency veterinarians deal with critically ill patients every day, but the communication we received lacked the compassion and sensitivity that families need when facing such devastating circumstances. To make matters worse, after our dog's passing, we discovered that we were not provided with a lock of his fur despite requesting memorial items. We were also given a paw print that appears significantly smaller than our dog's actual paw, leaving us questioning whether the paw print we received was even his. Having doubts about something so meaningful has added additional pain to an already heartbreaking loss. Another concern is that VEST advertises emergency services, yet there are periods when specialty services are unavailable, which was frustrating during a crisis. Losing our dog was traumatic enough. What should have been a compassionate and supportive experience left us feeling rushed, unheard, and with unanswered questions that we will carry for a long time. If I could give decimals, I'd give a 4.5... It really came down to the service... Just like everyone else that comes here, we're stressed, nervous, and overall on edge. If you're like me, you'll find yourself there between the hours of midnight and 3am just wanting to hear good news. I'll skip the reason we were here and get straight to the why. Initial entry the lady at the front desk was SUPER friendly. Seriously could not ask for a more warming individual to greet you. They gave numerous warnings that they were backed up and it would be awhile before we were helped. Because they were so upfront, I made the choice to stay there so no dings on speed of service. They warned me, I made my decision. When I was brought into the main room for us, I explained our situation. Where we made a mistake The tech that was there I believe may have been grumpy or tired (maybe both). I get it, it's late. But dang... please have a bit more empathy. The only thing I care about right now is our dog. Don't place blame or gouge me even further with a crappy attitude. I don't want to be here as much as it seems like you don't want me there. Fast forward to the main vet. What an awesome lady. Super attentive, very real, and helped guide me make some decisions. I was going to rate this a 4 but let's be real, they were open and in the end, got us some care for our dog. Nothing is perfect and in the late evening/early hours, trying to keep a level head is difficult for everyone. Went for emergency care, I called to see if she would receive emergency care. I had a vet on the island will to do her c-section but worried that she might need extended care. So he recommended CORE, but CORE couldn't take her and suggested you. Our dog stopped having contractions after the first puppy was born dead and second was born alive. We called and VEST said they could get us right in. We drove 1 and 1/2 hours in a storm to get her the care she needed. Our breeder, also a nurse was in the back of my SUV taking care of the newborn pup and Dasha our female. We get there and she is started contractions again in the lobby, fluid is pouring out of her. Your techs bring out a mop to clean up the trail. They whisk her in for X-rays. The vet comes in our room and says there are 2 puppies wedged, one is dead the other has a strong heartbeat. The vet said she needed the C-Section. I'm thinking great, lets get her in now while the puppies are still alive. They leave us in the room with her for an hour, just to get us to sign the paperwork. Then they leave us there for another 2 hours before coming to take her to do blood work and the surgery. Dasha is laying in the corner in pain. The living puppy is in our arms, trying to keep it warm in your freezing patient room. The lack of urgency or triage of medical care was not all what we experienced or received. We got there at 10:00 pm, you have her records you know when we got there and what times she finally got blood work done and finally a surgery. Waiting on Blood work for a Dog who has been in labor since 5:00 is just redundant, she has to have surgery. This is just wasting more time, but padding that invoice. You know you are doing surgery. The dog is in crazy amount of pain, we are sitting there, I keep going to the front desk to ask for help. My breeder sends me out to the truck for gloves and tube, because she believes she is going to have to deliver puppies while we wait. I keep asking the front dest, "WHEN is she going in????" Nothing. Finally, they come get Dasha. I complain that the puppy is getting colder. They finally give me a warm water bottle to try to keep the puppy warm, while I'm waiting. An hour later, the vet comes in and tells me there were 3 dead puppies. And she can go home. What happened to the strong heartbeat the one wedged puppy had? I guess waiting for 3 hours killed that one and the puppy behind him. This is not emergency care. I'm sure your dog would have been whisked in immediately, but regular people are not granted that kind of care. Dasha and the 4 other living delivered puppies that survived your medical care, in spite of it, not because of it. I should have never left the island and gone to Dr. Elliot, Roanoke Vet Clinic. Extended care was not even offered. Clearly, if it was. Dasha's wound would have been found and treated. Then they ask me at the front desk, if I want the dead puppies. I say yes, I'll bury them with the one at home. Dasha comes out, they give me a box of live puppies at 3:00 am. And I can't get away from your place fast enough. I get a call the next morning that they forgot to give me the puppies and are charing me another $90.00 for a communal cremation. I still haven't received those ashes. I bring Dasha in the house and she lays down on the living floor, when she stands up there is a pool of blood underneath her. I assume it's from her C-section. I put the puppies with her and my husband stays up to watch them while I go to sleep. I wake at 7:30 and Dasha has not stopped bleeding. I turn her over and her incision is gapping open. I call my Vet at First Flight and get her right over. Where Dasha has to undergo another surgery only 4 hours after her C-section because the VEST vet, just glued her outer layer. No stitches or staples. The incision was much too long for glue on a nursing dog with 5 puppies. Dasha was bleeding before any of the puppies ever nursed on her. They also shorted us pills, your office had to call First Flight, and I had to pay for again at our local vet. The hits just keep coming from you guys. I want VEST to refund all my charges and Pay for the Dasha surgery at First Flight. I would also like my puppies ashes returned to us. But I'm afraid those have already been trashed. I'm shocked by the complete lack of unprofessionalism we experienced. It's just about the dollars. I had a terrible experience at this pet emergency clinic. I went there on the recommendation of an urgent care because my cat was breathing oddly, and I wasn't close to our usual vet. Having lost a cat a few months ago to an upper respiratory infection, I was terrified something similar was happening again and wanted to make sure my boy was okay. From the moment I arrived, I felt very little compassion from the staff toward my cat or toward me. They took him to the back right away while I filled out paperwork, and I was then placed alone in a small room for about an hour. During that time, no one checked in on me, and I sat there crying, worried sick. When someone finally came in, they told me my cat had heart and lung issues and might only have anywhere from a month to a year to live. They immediately presented an estimate of over $5,000. I explained that I couldn't afford that amount and asked what could be done to help him feel better at a more manageable cost. Instead of discussing options with any sense of compassion, the tech briefly mentioned a payment plan service and left. They returned shortly after and asked if I had applied, even though I had asked them to speak to the vet again first. Another hour went by before the vet finally came in with alternative options and said they would prepare another estimate. I chose those options, but once the tests were done, the vet returned and said that even with everything, the best option would be euthanasia. I was shocked. My concern when I arrived was his breathing pattern--not a scenario where I was suddenly being told to put him to sleep. Nothing was explained in a way that helped me understand how we went from "breathing oddly" to such a drastic recommendation. They never asked if I wanted to see my cat during all this time, nor did they explain why he wasn't allowed in the room with me. They only commented that he seemed "angry and grumpy," but that didn't surprise me--he was alone in a strange place with unfamiliar people, barking dogs, and crying animals. In the end, I chose to take him home. They strongly discouraged me from doing so and again brought up euthanasia, saying he might not make it through the night. They prescribed medication, and when I asked if it could be in liquid form because he hates pills, the tech acted as though the question was unreasonable and told me no. Somehow, I was expected to keep him calm while forcing pills down his throat. At checkout, I was again reminded that if I decided to euthanize him, I should bring him back. I was emotionally exhausted--crying for hours, overwhelmed, and just wanted to get my cat home, so I didn't even realize I had never been given an itemized bill. It has now been six days, and my cat is still here--eating, using the litter box, cuddling, and even playing with his brothers. After everything I experienced, I couldn't shake the feeling that their main focus was money. It felt like the only options I was given were to pay an overwhelming amount or choose euthanasia, and the way it was presented came across as more of a scare tactic than genuine medical guidance. After reading other reviews, I couldn't help feeling like their approach relies heavily on these kinds of scare tactics, leaving already-worried pet owners even more overwhelmed. I returned only to get a medication refill until the follow-up appointment with a vet recommended by a friend. Overall, this experience left me heartbroken and deeply disappointed. Took my bullmastiff here after she started bleeding from same day spay incision. There seemed to be a lot of blood and worried about internal bleeding. From the front desk staff to the techs to the vet everyone was so incredibly kind. The vet was very patient in explaining what was going on and greatly reassured me that there was no internal bleeding. She put in some additional external sutures to close the wound more thoroughly. This vet should have never accepted my baby when we walked in the door. It was a day that they were not available for overnight emergency (it was a Wednesday and they would not be open again for overnight until Friday). They should have seen her difficulties breathing and told me to take her someplace that handles overnight, knowing she needed oxygen. By the time I got her home, she was worse than when I brought her. I had to find an overnight emergency vet to take her to and she passed away the next day. (I'm not saying they are the cause of her death, just that they made a bad judgement call by not sending me away to an overnight ER). Maybe they are ok for regular vet appointments, but not emergency appointments. The ER vet I went to read the same results that they forwarded over and completely disagreed with the vet at VEST. She didn't say it out loud, she didn't have to. I will never take another one of my animals to this office. read more

Although euthanasia was the best option for our kitty after all life saving efforts were exhausted, we are so grateful she had the best care available. When we had to bring in our 14 year old cat who had trouble breathing, they got her into oxygen immediately and kept us informed on what was going on. When we came to the conclusion our cat was suffering and further treatment would not improve her quality of life, they let us say goodbye to her. The staff was compassionate. This was not the first pet I've had to say goodbye to, but I appreciate how straight-forward they were from when we called to when we stepped into the office with her to when we had to leave without her. We took a very ill dog to be seen and treated and because finances was limited the dog was given anti-nausea shot after waiting for 3 hours and 20 minutes. Dr Statton was cold and was more concerned about limited funds than treating the dog. She was cold and had no compassion for this very sick dog. The other thing they did not say when called that for walking in to door there is a charge of $195.00 before looking at this very sick dog who was in shock. She gave the dog a long acting anti-nausea medication and sent us home to see dogs primary vet. She showed no compassion at all. She claimed that she could not do anything more than give the long acting anti-nausea medication which did not work. I do not recommend this emergency veterinary hospital to any one. read more

I brought my cat into the emergency room today she was lethargic and obviously very sick I was immediately asked to authorize care for 500-1000 dollars infront of a room fool of people I was immediately uncomfortable but desperate bc my cat was dying in my arms I was then given a paper to apply for financing as I was trying to do that they asked us to come into a back room after about 5 mins a vet came in a said her heartbeat was extremely irregular and she recommended euthanasia we then less then 5 mins later a assistant came in to tell us the cost as my family was discussing it we really wanted to take her home but was told we shouldn't about ten minutes went by and we where told that she passed sway and again was told that someone will discuss the cost my husband witness the staff holding my already limp unmoving cat by the scruff of her neck and roughly putting her on table. I would give 0 stars if possible! This is the worst place to ever go to bring a pet. They killed my baby girl Kitty. They refuse to do anything other than oxygen and they started an IV without knowing what was wrong with her. They kept pumping fluids in her for hours upon hours knowing she had fluid in her lungs, and they kept giving her more fluids which caused her to drown even faster without figuring out what was wrong with her. They wouldn't do anything until I paid a full estimate upfront, so they just continued to kill her. I brought her in as an emergency, my phone died and no way to pay since my phone was dead and they did not have a phone charger for me to use. So I sat in an absolute freezing room with my arms pulled in a tank top and the back of a chair cushion leaning on my legs to try to keep warm for hours shivering. All while they continue to do nothing to try to save my baby girl. By the time the dayshift came in and I told him I refuse to pay over $12,000 estimate since they haven't done anything to try to save her and they were killing her. The vet came in and told me there was nothing more they could do for her so they removed the IV and took her off oxygen even though she was having a hard time breathing, so they let her suffer at the end get gasping for air. I had to put her down without any answers other than knowing the people at vest made her condition worse and took her off oxygen even though she couldn't breathe. They brought her to me with no oxygen gasping for air, and the vet said take all the time you need before she was gonna put the medicine in to put her to sleep. I had a few choice words for the vet as she stood there and watched my baby girl suffering. They had no idea what was wrong with her, tried to force me to pay over $12,000 estimate for an emergency emergency laparotomy surgery to open her belly when there was nothing wrong with her belly, and they forced fluids down her knowing there was fluid in her lungs. They did absolutely nothing to try to remove the fluid from her lungs, they just continue to add more and watched her drown and suffocate. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE!!!!!! read more

I brought my dog in for balance/gait problems. You didn't look in my dog's ears and charged me nearly $500 AND made me feel like I was going to have to put my 4 year old dog to sleep! I lost 2 days of work and cried for an entire night. I took her to a regular vet the next day and within 30 seconds the vet saw a foreign body in my dog's ear that had punctured her ear drum. I called before coming in with my sick pet and was told they weren't too busy. I showed up at 10am. After 3 hours and being bumped back by critical arrivals we finally got a room. This was only after I inquired numerous times where my pet was in the order. The front desk seemed annoyed and tried to ignore me.The vet came in did a less than 5 minute exam and recommended X rays and lab work. I was told my pet would need to be sedated . Being worried I agreed. After the vet left someone came in with my estimate for cost- $1100 . I was shocked but agreed. After an hour of waiting I approached the front desk again to inquire if the tests and X rays were complete and was told the vet was pulled to a dog on oxygen and would get to me when she could. Feeling frustrated and knowing my pet was stressed I wait for 45 minutes approached the front desk again and asked to speak to the vet. At this point it was close to 5 hours of me being there and I did not feel comfortable with the treatment of me or my pet. I told the vet when she came out I did not want the continued sedation after I was told the sedation did not initially take as it was a small dose and no blood tests or X ray could be done without additional sedation. I chose to take my pet and not get the blood tests of treatment as I was no longer comfortable with the treatment of myself or my pet. While bringing my pet to me I was told that perhaps I should consider sedating her before bringing her to a vet. I brought her there because she was vomiting and crying why in the world would I sedate her? I found the comment insensitive and rude. The front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. The vet techs appeared grumpy. I realize the job is stressful but you are dealing with worried and stressed pet parents and kindness goes a long way . read more

I honestly can't comprehend the 1 star reviews of this place because my experience was amazing. The doctors, techs, and even the front desk are so compassionate and communicative I was blown away. They let me know the wait times were going to be long but made sure my pup was in stable enough condition and comfortable enough to wait while other more serious cases were assessed first. When it was finally our turn they made sure to cover all bases as far as X-rays, blood work, and a physical exam. They also made sure to explain things on a level in which I could understand. My Bowie has been feeling much better since his visit and although a little expensive, it's to be expected when visiting an ER. I would give zero stars if it were possible!! I took my sick dog in last night. He has been suffering with colitis and he was shivering in horrible pain. They told me they were taking him back to check vitals and that they would be right back. It took over 4 hours. I told the vet that my normal vet sent in a referral to have an endoscopy with biopsies. The Dr. said the owner would be in today and to drop him off between 8-9am. Not one blood test was done and zero pain medication given/offered despite the pain he was in and after I had already given him the max amount of gabapentin. I didn't think much of it because it was after midnight and I was returning early am. I get there this am expecting to drop him off. I have to wait again and basically start all over again with the tech. I felt the tech was rude and unprofessional. Her body language, her condescending tone, and overall demeanor was just nasty. I told her it was a long night and that she could check the attitude. Her reply was, "That's just who I am and offered to get someone else". Surprising treatment from a business who wants you to pay $8,000!!! So... The next tech comes in the room and we go over everything again! She informs me that these procedures are to be scheduled and then you drop your pet off. I advised I was told last night to come today to drop off. The tech then advised that the estimate given last night was not correct because it should be even more and she advised that the earliest they could do his endoscopy was September. Also gave an estimate of almost 7-9k. I walked out and based on my experience, I would not trust this place to do anything. I called my vet and they recommended CARE in Williamsburg! I called and he is scheduled for this Friday!! The lady was nice and professional. The estimate was $2700-4000. I'm not sure how you can get a quote for HALF the amount!! It is ridiculous!! I have insurance and I would have actually paid whatever the cost was!! Will never return here. If you go, I would use extreme caution. Although I realize that healthcare is expensive, I also feel that preying on people because you can capitalize on their love and fear for their fur babies, is just plain wrong. read more

Friday, May 30, I called to see if I could make an appointment, but it is only walk-ins. I decided to go to the Vest Clinic and after 3 hours saw a vet. My pet was not eating, vomiting constantly and eating grass. I left there with a probiotic and prebiotic but not antibiotics considering I had no idea what she had eaten. The cost was well over what another emergency vet would have charged and also given antibiotics. I will absolutely NEVER go back there, what a rip off and still needed antibiotics. Once again had to go to another vet to acquire when I realize my dog had bit a possum. I would have expected the vet to give antibiotics not knowing what the dog has eaten. We had to come here very late last night (for the first time) when our cat experienced a critical blood clot. Sadly, he needed to be put to sleep. The Vet and staff were all so professional and kind. Everything was explained kindly and compassionately. Our daughter was given all the time she needed with her Leno. There was no pressure to pay for what would not be in the best interest of our cats long term health... what was best for him was what was relayed. We chose this vet because they treat exotic animals. The staff and Dr that we dealt with when our bunny was dying were amazing. They immediately took us in and placed us in a private room. The doctor was very forthcoming in letting us know that our bunny was dying, rather than nickel and diming us to find out what was wrong with him. He passed on his own while at the office. We lost our boy on Christmas morning. What was a debating event was held in the kindest and most caring hands of the VEST staff. They made the process smooth, and ultimately their compassion and care for our loss meant the world. The staff went above and beyond for our boy and our family, even sending a card through the mail expressing their condolences for our loss. I brought my Great Dane here later in the afternoon on June 16th after she was diagnosed with Pyometra by her primary veterinarian. My vet called ahead and transferred all the information that they needed. When I arrived, the staff was friendly, and the wait was acceptable for a busy ER vet. They did vitals and a brief exam before taking me back to a room to receive an estimate. The estimate was broken down into a 24-hour stay and a 48-hour stay at the clinic. The estimate I was given was accurate. My dog did suffer a bleed during her surgery, but they managed her care well. I was able to call for updates whenever I wanted, and they were always timely. I only have two complaints. The first is, my dog required appetite stimulants while staying with them, and I was not sent home with any. There were also some normal post-op symptoms that I was not warned about, so I did end up worried for no reason a couple of times. This led to me having to come back in on the 21st, wait almost four hours, and pay 367 more dollars for another exam, an ultrasound that they didn't tell me they were going to do, and her prescriptions. My second complaint is that they sent me home with a prescription to take to an outpatient pharmacy, which would be fine except the prescription would have been over 800 dollars and was next to impossible to get. Not one pharmacy in the area had that medication. Overall, acceptable for a clinic that has been open for less than a year. Some other things I noticed were, their phones do not say on hold, after a few minutes the line will just drop and there could be some improvement with their staff communication, I went in just to request the appetite stimulants and the vet I spoke to seemed to think I wanted a full work-up on my dog. read more

Absolute best people working for you and your pet! They are caring and empathetic to your pet's needs. We took our dog to VEST in the middle of the night with heart failure, and they saved her with oxygen and meds. They were patient with us, and we never felt rushed to get out. They will answer questions on the phone every time you call, and they never make you feel bothersome. The staff is experienced and confident, unlike some other places I have unfortunately been. And if someone ever doesn't know the answer on the phone, she will happily go and check with one of the vets to find out. My only concern is that VEST closes for one day every week from 6pm Wednesday night until 7am on Friday morning, and if our dog's emergency had been on a Wednesday night, I don't know where we would have gone or what would have happened. read more

They were able to see my dog with almost no notice when he suffered an accident. The staff were efficient, compassionate and helped us get him comfortable and on the road to healing. read more

I came here for help after being highly recommended. I called on the phone and kept getting put on hold and then it would disconnect. I called back and got put on hold again and the same thing happened again. This happened multiple times so I thought the issue was on my end. Not a problem, I went in person to not worry about the disconnection problem. I came in and the receptionist with brown hair and glasses immediately had a horrible attitude. No one wants to be at an emergency vet, I'm scared for my pet and just trying to get help. I didn't deserve to be met with a snarky attitude and horrible manners when I hadn't come in there with anything but good intentions. I thought the problem was my phone which is the only reason I came up there, if I had been told over the phone that they just needed more time instead of being put on hold over and over again I would have absolutely just left a call back number and waited patiently. I understand an ER vet gets busy, had that been communicated I wouldn't have thought it was my phone messing up and driven up there. I didn't deserve the treatment I got when I was never rude, just persistent because I'm scared for my pet that I love. So let this be a warning to any other pet owners worried sick like me--kindness is not a quality all of the receptionists share. Really quite a shame I had such a bad experience after being told good things from other people. I hope no one else shares this experience. read more

I am so thankful for Dr. Nobles and the Staff at VEST. From the initial phone call to walking out the door, my dog was treated with great care. Dr. Nobles performed an ultrasound and explained Jack's diagnosis calmly and in detail so I could understand. They are a great group and I'm very happy they are here! read more

if I could give this place no stars I absolutely would. I took my go in while in a catatonic phase, massive amounts of drooling with intermittent seizure like activity. There was one couple waiting when we walked in with our dog. we were greeted and asked to put our dog on the floor so they could watch him walk. He was very unstable walking. we picked him back up and the young kid that checked us in proceeded to repeatedly tell us that he must have gotten into some marijuana and stuck with that story although we told him repeatedly and others that no one in our home smokes marijuana. After an hour and a half of waiting watching my dog struggle and not be himself at all someone else came out to speak with us briefly. she was at least nice and entertained the idea that we did not drug our dog. she wasn't sure what was wrong but agreed that it sounded like seizure activity. After she left approx 20 mins later the young kid came back out and took our dog to the back and was very insistent that we could not go back with him for VITALS. in under 5 minutes our dog was carried out and handed to my boyfriend and told us nothing is wrong with him go ahead and take him home. No one discussed options of what they could do or were willing to do. After leaving scared that something was going to happen to my dog I stayed awake holding him all night with him in and out of it all night long. We called our vet the next day and got him in for IV fluids and diagnostics. He is better now but I highly doubt not recommend this facility. We had him drug tested just to prove he wasn't given something by someone else and it was a clean toxicology screen. He was having seizures with a way different diagnosis that could have killed him. I did call and speak with the manager regarding the lack of care received. she was very nice but I haven't heard anything else regarding the issue. Hopefully they can get it together before they end of with a lawsuit. read more

This place is disgusting. My dog was wheezing but was very happy they tried to put her on a table for pets who CAN'T WALK! My dog didn't even want to go in there. We waited in a room for hours and then She came in and told us about her how she was she keep trying to say to just put her down. Later after waiting we saw a lady with a newborn baby walk in with her poor dog on a table. When the nurses came out with that poor dog Rember, they just put a dog out they were SMILING, LAUGHING, AND CHATTING. Like it was nothing. They came back with our dog's blood work and keep saying that we should just put her down after we said no. When finally leaving they thorn the leash and charge us more then they said. They charged us 825$ for stuff that we didn't even get done. Our dog wanted to leave very badly. I AM DISGSTED DONT GO HERE THEY KILL DOGS FOR FUN. THEY ARE CRAZY. They gave us Meds that could kill my dog. I'M NOT IMPRESSED. Also, my dog got 2 shots in both legs and both are bleeding why are they bleeding still. They said 1 hour after the bandages are off. at the advice of my dog's primary care vet, it was recommended i contact vest to have my dog evaluated as she was spotting blood and it was thought to be out of her ordinary heat cycle. i called them and was asked half a dozen questions and i answered the questions and explained my concerns. they recommended i bring the dog in. once i did bring the animal in she and i were placed at the end of the line. after 2.5 hours and all other animals having been seen, i was given a "consult" and lecture on a female dog's heat cycle and anatomy and told to sit tight and wait for recommendations and an estimate. as far as i know my dog was never even examined. the person who lectured me never laid a hand on the dog in my presence. up to that point i had spoken to 3 different veterinary care personnel who all suggested emergency care for the dog and now the emergency care staff was telling me to wait for an estimate like my dog had a damaged quarter panel. after already waiting 2.5 hours my wait was over. i was charged $195 for absolutely nothing. wait, i forgot. i did drink a cup of their coffee. don't take your animal here. they suck. read more
