I love Vesta. The atmosphere in this location is quiet, great for getting work done. The cardamom lattes are my go to. The flavor is so elevated, I love that they make their syrups and milks in house - and of course! Locally brewed. Doesn't get any better than that. The staff is always super nice, I accidentally forgot to ask for decaf, they were more than happy to change it even though it was my bad. Vesta will always be my favorite coffee spot. This one stings. I wanted to like this experience sooooo much. I have had Vesta coffee via a latte made by a friend of mine using their beans. I loved it, I thought it was so good. So I was stoked to try the real thing with some flavoring, some oat milk (my buddy only uses whole). Boy was I disappointed. We swung by here shortly after we spent a week in Maui, and the Caramac latte caught my eye, with its macadamia almond milk and Hawaiian sea salt. I had to have it! And let me tell you.. I have absolutely no idea how the barista made this into such a disaster. It tasted like an Americano. It tasted like coffee, and water. And not even good coffee. Not even espresso. Like McDonald's coffee. I have never, ever seen someone botch a latte so badly. I cannot emphasize enough, I truly cannot overstate, just how downright awful this thing was. To say I was disappointed wouldn't capture the full breadth of my frustration with this experience. Everyone has an off day. Granted, I have never seen a baseball player step up to the plate, take a big cut at a slider and drive the ball directly into their groin and end their season on Opening Day before. Which is the baseball equivalent of what that latte was. But whatever, I will try it again. Same thing, round two. Run it back. Shuffle up and deal. And let me tell you... It was still bad. It was borderline cold. Not even room temp. It tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for 15 minutes before it was given to me. Again, it had absolutely no flavor to it at all. I wasn't even sure it had espresso in it, honestly. Is this just a bad drink? Is this a known issue? And if so, why on earth is that thing on their menu? I have no explanations for this. The drive thru is nice, but the product that you get at the window is, apparently, unpredictable at best, and downright awful at worst. These must be exceptions to the typical experience, but as you know from my above analogy, I am a baseball guy. And in baseball, it's two strikes, and you're out. Sorry Vesta, I won't be back. If you do venture here, avoid the Caramac latte. What an absolutely disappointing, frustrating, annoying couple of experiences these were. read more

First, let me say the customer service here is great. I didn't give this place 4 stars because of that.. I do love the food options here and the fact they have multiple options such as sandwiches, salads, etc. I will say I don't like that they don't really have options for flavors for the lattes and I don't care for the fact we could not get our chai iced. This is great if you are looking for something different however, as an every day coffee shop I don't think that's the case. I decided to skip the beverages and opted for "the basic" which was avocado toast served with lemon and topped with red pepper flakes. It was super tasty but did think it was a bit over priced for the one small slice of toast. I wandered around for a new coffee place to try on Sahara, and happy that I came across Vesta Coffee on Yelp. Lots of parking in a strip mall type of deal. Larger open space for working and conversation. Really nice staff. They made it feel homey-- I would come back just to chat with them. Menu is more streamlined and straightforward with breakfast sandwiches and pastries, as well as coffee, tea, other caffeine. Something about it strikes me as simple but efficient. I was recommended to try the breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg inside a brioche bun and a side of chips. It was definitely cooked well--- just wished maybe I could've added a bit more pepper or even some other creamy-based condiments to the breakfast sandwich. The matcha green tea latte with oat milk was good-- like the OG kind that isn't hella sweet so I appreciated that. If you want to kick it up a notch, ask for simple syrup or other sweetener. Lastly, I was offered some green tea, and that rounded up my really nice work session there. All in all, I liked this change of scenery for me. More than likely will be returning! These guys are consistently friendly and great every single time. I'm not a fan of the baked goods offered. The coffees are pleasant and smooth. Sometimes I find I need a little extra heat and they are happy to kick it. I had a question about operating a flask the other day and one of the girls with braids and stuff stuck on her face had the biggest smile and demonstrated the operation of the device. I'm a big fan of the downtown location and love that this one is closer to my work! I've been by once for dine-in service and just again today to use their super-convenient drive-thru. Service is friendly and I like the open and airy space. The food and drink menu here is thoughtful, with extensive tea options and heavier lunch/dinner dishes than other coffee shops often offer. I really enjoy their cold brew and desert rose iced tea (summer special), and their hot almond milk latte was well made. Their toasts and sandwiches are solid options, particularly the Hawaiian Benedict and the Truffle Croissant Sandwich. I got the Not PSL and I would not recommend it. Maybe it was all the spices but I just did not like it plus the texture was more like a coffee with oatmilk then a latte. The chai was good but there's only 1 size apparently cuz I didn't get asked what size. Also the kids hot chocolate was so small and had too much foam it was gone in like 1 sip. Upon entering the decor is a rather neutral color palette. Also, I noticed pretty quickly that there is no aroma of coffee in the air at this coffee café. No aroma while within close proximity to the barista station nor where we were sitting. At no time during my visit did I detect an aroma of coffee in the air. All employees we interacted with were friendly and courteous, and calm. Not a good or bad calm, just my observation and opinion. There is a one page printed menu at the counter that I'd consider limited, but with a few desirable typical brunch fare. There is a version of avocado toast on the menu. Breakfast sandwich is served with... potato chips. I didn't realize that for some reason; not sure if I overlooked it in the description on the menu. Update: Looked at a picture of the menu and chips are not mentioned nor is a salad. They need to update their menus to include important details such as this. Upon asking, I was told that if you don't want potato chips, you can order a lettuce-based small salad for an additional up-charge. When your order items are ready, you are called up to the counter (by name) to retrieve the items. The sandwich was very good; above average flavor. Noticing bread sitting out on a rack, I asked and verified they bake their breads on site (not sure if she meant downtown location or there). My latte art was very pretty. IMO, the taste of the latté was... okay. It reminded me of the popular chain over-roasted beans flavor. Oddly enough, it was once again lacking a significant coffee aroma. NOTE: When I got home I compared by smelling the aroma of bags of coffee that I have. My whole bean coffees at home smell wonderful, so it wasn't for an inability of being able to smell coffee. I was told that the coffee is roasted on site at their downtown location. Age of the crowd (when I was there) appeared to be within a 25-40 range. I'd describe the atmosphere and overall vibe of the place neutral. Not a place I would want to sit and read a book or chat for a length of time (although I did notice a person hanging out with their laptop). The chairs are hard, stylized and not particularly comfortable for a long lingering visitation. The bathroom & sitting area decor values are of neutral colors with a focus on B&W.
