I can go on vacations without worrying about my pet, without having to leave him in a kennel, and most of all, without worrying if the people are doing a good job watching him or not. Trained and educated staff watch my dog at MY house so he is happy. One on one care, not a bunch of dogs. They follow ANY amount of directions I give. My Siberian husky needs at least two walks and lots of affection and he gets it. One of my favorite things I love is the constant text and email updates with pictures of my happy pooch. We are so grateful for the wonderful pet sitting Vet Tech has provided for our two cats after one of them was diagnosed with diabetes. The Vet Tech team is able to visit our home twice daily to give our diabetic cat his insulin injections, and make sure he sticks to his schedule for eating so his glucose stays well-regulated. We love getting daily text updates and photos of our cats when we're traveling from Tomiko and Donna. Apart from caring for our cats, they take great care of our home as well. We recently planned to take a trip out of town and found out at the 11th hour that the pet sitter we thought was lined up to watch our dog did NOT in fact book us. I have never had a pet sitter come to my home. But my kitty would not do well in a board and care. Tomiko came by for a meet and greet before our vacation. As usual, my kitty hid from the stranger. Tomiko wanted to actually see him and even got on her hands and knees to look under the couch when we searched for him. She took a lot of notes regarding his schedule and where we kept things things such as the kitty carrier and a broom and dust pan. My husband and I felt comfortable with her. I have been using vet tech for years and had excellent service. However, this last visit completely changed all of the great years of service. I came home to the harsh smell of dog pee, found that my dog pee'd on my area rug many times. How can you enter a house and not smell this? Older dog do have issue but at least let me know via txt or email. Nothing received. All Txt stayed all is fine. Then I noticed my bamboo plants were way over watered, 2 bamboo were beyond saving. Tomiko is awesome, we were having a hard time finding a sitter for our four cats - one of whom is diabetic and has pancreas insufficiency so he needs a pill and insulin twice a day. No more vacations, no more happy hours or lingering over dinner in the city after work. Hanging out with friends inevitably resulted in one of us having to jump up mid-activity and head home to "shoot Panda up." So sad. But now we're free! Aimee and her team are sweet as pie, great with animals, organized, competent and reasonably priced. They are also experienced vet techs, so Panda's insulin injections and blood glucose testing are no problem. Vet Tech looked after my two cats while I was away for 5 days, and were able to sign me up on very short notice. They were absolutely fantastic. They visited once a day to feed, set up my automatic feeders for a second feeding, clean the littler box, check that everything was ok, and give the boys some attention. They are outstandingly professional, taking all of the vet info, emergency info for my home, ways to contact me. They came to meet the cats and get keys and had an excellent way with animals. They texted me several times while I was gone to let me know everything was fine, and asked me to let them know when I was home and the cats were ok. When I arrived home the boys were calm, they house looked good, and they had even washed the used cat bowls. There are cheaper pet sitters, but I don't think I could find anyone better than these folks. read more

I am so happy with Tomiko and her services. My husband and I had a last minute emergency with our cat Ahi. The night before a 12 day trip, our cat became desperately ill. Our mobile vet came the next morning, did a exam, and declared that she either needed to be admitted to a hospital or have someone come 2x a day to give her medications and fluids. He recommended that I call Vet Tech, and within 30 minutes, Tomiko was at our apartment to meet Ahi and to set up a schedule of visits. Tomiko came 2x daily, kept both me and the vet up to date with Ahi's condition, and even sent texts with photos so I could see how Ahi was doing. Despite "We always follow client instructions" via email and a visit that showed what to do, security camera video shows the dog walker: 1) didn't tighten collar until after greyhound dog (a rescued ex-racer, prone to run) was already outside; 2) exited through the wrong door then left it open, unlocked, and unattended when she took the dog out; and 3) was on a personal phone call during most of the visit (a caregiver's full attention is required with both hands on the leash). CEO didn't take responsibility, didn't apologize sincerely, and was very slow to reply. We offered the dog walker an opportunity to improve her performance on her next visit, but she declined. read more
