If you go here, please double check your itemized bill and advocate for your pet's care. Don't…read moreassume urgency will be recognized for you. I've brought my dogs here since I was a child, but over the last year I've had several negative experiences. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because Dr. Terrell usually provides excellent, realistic advice. They also have a kind and professional attitude. My concerns are with the overall care and office staff. 1. On three separate occasions, they returned my dogs to me from the back covered in feces. Each time, I had to ask to clean them up. 2. They no longer show itemized bills before charging, which leads to errors. The first time this happened, I was charged for for medicine I didn't receive. When I pointed it out, I got a credit on my account. At my next visit, rather than using the credit to pay for the bill, they charged me FOR the credit, so I ended up paying them the $50 they owed me. When I explained that it was a credit, she didn't understand. Mistakes happen, but it is basic math. Please go back to showing the itemized bill before patients pay. 3. My senior dog stayed there overnight with an infection on an IV drip. They said they'd give him antibiotics. When I called the next morning and asked about it, Dr Dratch said, "what antibiotics?" Our treatment plan wasn't followed. I started to cry, and he said "no wait we did, we just forgot to write it down." I am not sure what to believe with him backtracking and I fear that they didn't give him a shot at recovering with the medicine. 4. My young dachshund showed signs of back pain, so I called for an appointment ASAP. I was told the next available slot was two days later. When I called back begging for something sooner, they moved it up by one day. That night, he became paralyzed. I rushed him to an emergency vet, who sent us to the city for immediate spinal surgery. The next day, Dr. Dratch called to check in, which was kind of him - I really appreciated it, but by then it was too late. I now know that if my dachshund had received surgery before paralysis, his chances of recovery would have been much higher (80-90% versus 50%). He might never walk or pee on his own again. I'm devastated and wish the office had conveyed how urgent this condition can be, or at least referred us to an emergency vet or neurologist. Their lack of urgency made me feel like it wasn't an emergency situation. Now, I am so heart broken. I used to travel 20-30 minutes to come here, but it's no longer worth the inconvenient travel time. I appreciate the help I used to get from the vets and office staff, but there might be some mismanagement happening. I would really look into better training for some of the newer staff.

This was odd behavior and as soon as my bf said call the vet for an appointment, our Yoshi ran to the door and waited to leave. VERY ODD behavior! Lol I called and explained the issue to the vet and they told me to bring him right down. Our Shiba is very picky choosy about what dogs are in his presence so they got him straight into a room too. We did luck out today, but this isn't always the case. they do have mobile appointments which do make it easy to find the next available slot without the awkwardness of going through your schedule with the lady on the phone. Outside they have doggy poop bags and a hydrant for them to what I call "check in" inside they have a human restroom and a good amount of seats in an L shape. It is a small office and small lot so please keep your fur babies in cages or leashes (especially outside, you can see the highway). The vets and employees really are kind helpful animal lovers too, so this is the only place I trust my dog with. If I can't get Yoshi in right away and he's sick, they will have the vet speak with us or they will call us back to relay information. Our Yoshi had an ear infection, and he let the vet check out his ears too, so I guess it's a 5 star review from him too (he usually needs a muzzle for the ear check, not today!)

Making the decison to say goodby to Origami was one of the most painful and confusing times in my life. Alexis gave me so much of her time and showed so much compassion and kindness at a time when breathing felt hard. If you are struggling to help your pet transition in a pain free way and would like to do it in your home with the most gentle and kind person, please choose Alexis. I will miss my sweet sweet Angel for the rest of my life but I feel grateful knowing she wasnt afraid and felt safe and loved in her last moments. Thank you Alexis

Initially I was in favor of doing it this way at my Mothers discretion, she advertised it as a "beautiful thing" that would be personable, and intimate...It was the exact opposite. She shows up eager to get the process over with, and your pets last conscious moments will be getting tricked with a plate of whipped cream while she grabs them to inject the anesthesia. As I was understandably distraught and voicing my criticism's for the process which didn't reflect what was advertised, this liberal nutjob woman (who showed up in a mask lmao) THREATENED to stop the process and leave AFTER the anesthesia had been administered. Very professional. While I cried into my cats ear telling him how much I loved him, I had to be reminded by this woman "he can't hear you", and then asked "what's your favorite memory with him?" As my mother & I are breaking down sobbing over his body. 1,000$ for this by the way. It's all just for show, the selling point is having a half assed casket vigil in her trunk where she expects you to praise her as if she's doing God's work. To be honest, I didn't even frel comfortable having this woman drive off with my deceased Cat in her car, let alone her accompany my last moments with him. All to pick up his ashes at an animal hospital anyway....it's a sham. Like I said, you're better off doing it the traditional way or letting them pass peacefully on their own. This happened months ago and the fact i'm going out of my way to write this review now should show you how deeply dissatisfied I am with how it played out. It's just a way to scam sentimental people like my mother out of money they're more than willing to pay because of the love for their animals by pulling at their heart strings. If you're reading this; sincerely, Fuck. You.

This review does not reflect the dogs what-so-ever, so please come visit this shelter to adopt and give these dogs a forever home/family. The sheer number of dogs that this facility has is massive and they have so many dogs to choose from big and small / young and old. We met a few dogs that we absolutely loved, but at the end of the day we ended up adopting another dog in need from another shelter because we felt the staff was a little difficult to deal with. When meeting the dogs, the staff seemed to hinder on the negatives of each dog instead of seeing how happy we were during the meet and greets. I understand they like to warn potential adopters of all possible negatives, but we felt like these employees weren't even "dog-people". Additionally, we noticed after visiting twice that many of these dogs have MULTIPLE pending applications but they don't seem to be in a rush to get them into a home. We understand that it's about finding the best home for each pet, but it's a little discouraging applying for a dog that already has 3 pending applications. Hard to believe not one of these families are qualified. I hope the facility can approve upon these things and give these dogs into the homes they deserve.
