We have had good experiences at this hospital 3 times. First was when my father in law was there…read more He had been to multiple doctors and hospitals and finally after a fall and visit there he was diagnosed with Parkinsons dementia. He had some atypical symptoms but they helped to get the appropriate diagnosis and helped us get him into hospice which gave him even more services that he needed for free. Next my husband was taken there after a fall and they got plastic surgeon to stitch up his eye lid which was cut all the way through. It healed well and years later he has no visible scar. Recently my husband who is now in his 70s woke up and was so dizzy nauseated and in pain we called the rescue squad. They wanted to take him to Bolingbrook hospital but my father in law had been there and they were no help so we requested Rush Copley even though it was a little further. He had a good experience, with a thorough work up for everything and they scanned his head and whole torso.. Thankfully it was just symptoms from a combo of a sinus thing and intestinal inflammation. They gave him some meds to get him stable. Sent him home with some meds and gave him referrals. The hospital was busy but they got him into quickly and I think we were out of there before lunch time. Very caring staff, doctors etc. The only issue I had was that I was not able to go with him and when I called to get info on his condition nobody called me back. I called twice and really just wanted to know how serious it was while I waited for my son to get here to drive me there. I'd say a couple hours. When we got there there was no explanation of why someone could not have called to let me know he was not dying. Since his care was good I did not mar down for that but it is something they should work on as when we arrived it did not seem like they were overly busy and someone could have relayed at least a general message about his condition. If we ever need to go again I will choose this hospital.

I would give zero stars if I could. If there is a nurse there by the name of Charrise (sp?), run…read moreand run fast! I logged in around noon today. There were 8 other people ahead of me. I waited about 45 minutes and there was still a teenaged girl there ahead of me. The nurse named above came out and asked the girls name. She then rudely told the young girl that she needed to come back at 3. She had been working all day and needed to take a lunch. The girl was pretty meek and stunned and said she needed to get in for school. (It is back to school time). The nurse threw up her hands and continued her rude attitude and stated, " I don't know what to tell you, but I need a lunch." I was shocked. I knew the girl was there with her mom, so I stayed back. The nurse then asked me my name, I told her and she stated "You need to come back at 3. I have been working all day and I need a lunch." I stated I had driven quite a while to get there and had already waited 45 minutes." I asked if I could go to a different location. She said everyone is at lunch at 1. She threw up her hands and walked away. I asked her name and she yelled it to me while still walking away and rolling her eyes. I understand the need for a break, but 1) it Is back to school season, staff up. 2) cut off logins BEFORE people sit and wait. 3) NEVER treat a customer a way that this woman did. Neither I or the other girl were rude or confrontational in any way. The little girl was in tears and I was stunned at her tone and treatment of customers. The fact that she blatantly did this in front of other customers and the entire pharmacy department leads me to believe, this is not an isolated incident. This nurse had NO compassion for patients which is rule number 1!.

I want to also extend my thanks to the greeter who met me nearly every morning at the visitors' desk. You have a gem in Toledo - his empathy, thoughtfulness and caring were beyond exceptional and his warmth made each visit a bit less hard to endure. Overall I can not say enough about this facility. Keep up the good work everyone! It is truly, truly appreciated.
