Many negative reviews?? First of all... this is a clinic... A very good local clinic providing very inexpensive & general healthcare.... it's not a fully equipped hospital by any means, however, their intended purpose as a clinic caters to a great need for affordable healthcare in the Aurora area. They perform fundamental healthcare, along with a few specialties beyond primary care. They will take walk-ins (or used to before Covid), but an appointment is highly desired to keep the system smooth, and organized. In light of what they are this is a really nice, clean, inexpensive clinic with extremely friendly staff. They perform thorough examinations, physicals, on-site lab work, etc... and extend the true element of sincere care for their patients who have general needs, and provide the same type of care as a primary physician would perform. For me the VNA was better than my past primary doctors who were at top healthcare organizations. Personally I feel this might be an alternative to Mercy Hospital's Life Saving Emergency Room up the road a bit... where historically people in Aurora have gone when their kids have a sore throat, cold, etc... which is ridiculous. An ER is for life-saving emergencies... which many folks don't understand. I digress... In November of 2019 I returned from China & Thailand deathly sick; possibly Covid-19 before anyone here knew about Covid. The treatment in Thailand didn't work. Upon returning to the USA my family actually thought I might not make it. Before going to an ER without health insurance I went to the VNA sicker than I have ever been, nor seen anyone in my entire lifetime. The medical staff at the VNA on Highland in Aurora prescribed a few medications that are not commonly used on general illnesses... including a left-field antibiotic I never heard of, and I was better a few days later. Between 2020 to 2024 a very big reputable healthcare system near Chicago, with their top leading physicians failed to discover an issue I have. I'm back in Aurora again for a while, and decided to try the VNA with modest hopes; however, they did save my life once... so I gave them a try. Wow! Again! Beginning ~May 2024, a wonderful doctor at this VNA has again helped, and accomplished what a giant great reputable Chicagoland healthcare system failed to do! I knew I was in good hands after my first appointment.. and as time went by it was crystal clear this doctor knows her stuff, and is giving me the best care that one could find... because it's working. I am ever so grateful for this special clinic in Aurora. I understand not everyone has the same great outcome with healthcare, and it's very frustrating, and sometimes impossible to get good affordable healthcare in America without health insurance... which is horrible when we're a great nation (supposedly). I wish I could give zero stars. I had an 8:15 app and didn't see the doctor until 10:20. Dr. asked what are you here for? Apparently wasn't interested in reviewing nurse's notes. Then I told her I tore a muscle. Doctor had no follow up questions. Never even inspected the muscle. Doctor spent about 7-8 minutes with me, then left. I called Wednesday my child has a fever. The agent told me they have no appointments till Sunday. My son was sent Sunday to priority xray for pneumonia next day. Results came same day (different clinic). I called multiple times talk to nurse. 2 days nobody called. After one missed call I called right the way back and they told me it's my bad I missed the call and I have to wait another 40 hours till someone call me back again. This is ridiculous! VNA used to be good, no it's crap. If I could give it zero stars I would. Had an appointment for 10:10 AM, was told to arrive at 10 AM, got there 9:50 AM, was checked in and told to wait in the waiting room. 11:35 AM still not being called in. Yet, about 6 or 7 people that arrived after me where taken before me. These were not emergency cases. No one even looked sick. I was there for a simple TB skin test. I told the receptionist I had to leave for work, which I did or I would have been late. They texted me for the "reading" tomorrow. I didn't cancel it. Let them have their time wasted for a change. The absolute worst place you can go. The doctors don't show up to appointments, and you can call them as many times as you want and they will have NO solutions for you. I am out if medication and couldn't get an appointment until Monday afternoon. They are willing to let me go without medication until I come in, willing to risk my health. I'm giving VNA 4 stars because having Medicaid is difficult and they really help out. It's not the fanciest but it's well kept and the doctors and staff know what they're doing. The only downside is long wait times for the doctors. They are generally pretty friendly and for this being a place that accepts Medicaid, it's really not too bad and gives you the care you need. What's even nicer is that EVERY service you need is in one building! It's also super easy to schedule appointments. I would not, however, recommend that you get your mental health services from VNA. Because there are a lot of people below the poverty line (myself included), you tend to get a lot of addiction and they are so hyper-aware of that that it's almost impossible to get any controlled medications, even when you have a legitimate reason for them and have been on them before/currently on them from previous doctor. I had a very bad experience with one of the psychiatrists here and all she did was make me cry and feel horrible about myself. She was pushing antipsychotics and I only have anxiety and depression. She was way out of line. It was her character and bedside manner that was so horrible. I had stopped caring about the medication thing by that point. Everything else about VNA is great and easy. Better care than a lot of other medical facilities that accept Medicaid. It's also an all-in-one place, and they're helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it, even if you don't have insurance! They have you pay based on household income. read more

Doctors are not knowledgeable and will simply say "You should've gone to a specialist" for something as normal as swelling or pain, and will still charge for a full visit. They are the worst! It takes forever just to get a hold of someone and then, when AND IF they get back to you, they don't even do what they say they are going to do. Saturday called for a nurse practitioner to call back to discuss a medication refill because I had ran out completely. Never heard back. Called twice yesterday for a request for a callback, received one after calling and asking a second time. Said my prescription would be sent over to pharmacy and never did. Called again this morning to find out nurse never put anything through and have been waiting for a callback since 830 in the morning. Just had to call to request a second time for someone to reach out to me. What a hassle! So not worth my time nor energy and cannot wait until I never have to deal with them again! I went to VNA healthcare services February 2nd of 2022 and it was suggested that I received counseling my first appointment was scheduled for the end of April which VNA had to reschedule until September for a telemed video conference call that call was never made because their system went down when I tried to reschedule the earliest they could get me in was December 23rd over 10 months waiting to see someone from mental health I only wonder about how many people have fallen through the cracks or even committed suicide waiting to get help VNA should not be offering services that they cannot provide in a timely manner read more

I swear there's been 2 times where im sure they forget I'm there , ive had a 6:30 appointment , showed up and didnt see the dr comein the room until 8:15 which they were closed to she ran in then ran out. Wasted about 5 minutes with an actual doctor AT MOST that day. Wish i would have changed my son's pcp out the minute i saw it saw vna on his card and not wait until now. They never listen my wife has told them to update our adress over 5 times already and they say they did it but when we receive a call from them we find out our address was never updated. They keep confusing my daughters and my wifes names.
