I struggle with this review... how many stars? Jesse came out for an estimate more than three weeks ago. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful, including mask and social distancing compliant. Vet's has great reviews with lots of positive comments. I really liked all those things and looked forward to receiving an estimate. He noted that Vet's Electric is neither the most costly nor the least, and I confirmed I was looking for quality work rather then cheapest cost. Later during the walk through he said something about "38" for a sub panel, and then before he left he gave me a rough guess of the cost and said "at least 6" and told me he'd follow up with an estimate. At this point I still felt really good about Jesse and his shop but the beginning of doubts were forming. I had done research beforehand which told me the services I was looking for would be on average $1500-$1800. With all the madness going on this year driving cost increases in many industries including construction; I figured his estimate would be from there up to maybe 2x that. And so I start wondering... what did he mean by "38" and what did he mean by "6". Thousands? Hundreds? Neither number is remotely close to what I'd expected. All good and well... I'm a patient person and can wait for an estimate. So I checked in five days after he was here, sent a text asking when I could expect to receive an estimate. No response. So several days later, I called, and spoke with Tiffany. I asked about the status of the estimate. I get that we were in the holiday season. I can wait... but... if they want me, or any customer, to wait a matter of weeks, for an estimate after a visit to the site they need to communicate that clearly. She told me she'd look into it and call me back. We confirmed that she had the correct phone number and my correct email address. It's now been about two weeks since I spoke with Tiffany. No call back. No estimate received. I have no idea what happened. Maybe they didn't want to do the job I had, maybe they forgot, maybe they're too busy? I did seek competitor quotes. Those quotes were provided the same day the site visit was performed. Emailed to me within hours of the visit. I wish I could speak to try actual amount of the quote from Vet's Electric but I have yet to receive it. read more

They called me again and were able to fit me in earlier, which was great. The guys who came out were fantastic. They figured out what was going on with the insane wiring in my garage and made my porch lights work. While I maintain that scheduling with them was problematic, the actual workers themselves were wonderful. read more

Vets did a great job working within our timeframe. We just purchased an investment property and the detached garage needed a lot of updating as well as a few things inside the house. The price was very comparable to other quotes but the reviews here did it for me. They even moved up the work date due to a bigger project being slid back. I cannot speak to their work, but I was told I would receive a quote in roughly 48 hours after they looked over my home and it took three weeks to get that quote. The price seems fair and the warranty options aren't the best I've seen (that distinction goes to the company I am accepting the bid from) but they aren't the worst warranty options either. I am not suggesting that anyone not use Vets based on my experience but I want to be sure that they understand that their lack of communication isn't going to reflect well on them and I hope they improve in the future. read more

They responded almost immediately and set a time to call me to chat through the projects the following week. Got them out to the place, they did a bid on the spot, told me a bit about the company. While we ended up not doing the work for a few reasons I'd recommend these guys for sure. read more

I asked Vets to relocate my ceiling light fixture junction box 12 inches away from the current one. Knowing that Vets would not do sheetrock repair, was okay with me and dredded knowing I would later have to try and figure out how to cover the original hole. I was surprised that John the technician provided an easy fix for me by installing a plate in the ceiling to attached a portion of the sheetrock with to help fill in the hole. All I had to do was apply mud to fill in the seam. What a relief that was. Vets did a quck install/fix and at what I consider a realistic price. Thanks you VEC. read more

I used Vet's Electric to replace and upgrade the wiring in my 1944 townhouse. Everyone was wonderful to work with! Cassie was awesome, and Jesse and Dave wonderful as well. The work was done very quickly, and Dave made a point of staying late on the last day to finish up, giving me useful electricity safety pointers and explanations of what he was doing and the work they had already done. I recently called Vets Electric and they came out within a couple of days to look at my garage power being out. John called ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early, which wasn't a problem. I went onto Yelp to find an electrician and requested a quote from 5 companies. Vets Electric got back to me with a quote online before other companies even set up a date to send someone to give me a quote. After discussing with several people the quote, everyone agreed the price was reasonable for the work. A week later Aaron and a coworker came out and in less than 4 hours had the work done. It looks great. The work being done was upgrading a 110 volt 2 person hot tub to a 240 volt system. Wiring had to be run from one side of the house to the other. They did their best to make the wiring look inconspicuous. The work space was all cleaned up and you would never know they were there except for the new wiring. A side bonus was a military discount. The customer service from these folks are exemplary. Let's just say - I am not a handy person at all. I am more of a work in progress on that front. So when I needed to install 2 motion sensor lights I reached out to the Yelp community for consult. I ask for rates by telling other businesses what I was wanting to do. Without exerting too much effort asked me more detailed questions about the job. They provided me with an estimate and explained why. Rather than spouting off numbers or hourly rate. It did turn out my, what I thought was a simple inexpensive project became too cost prohibitive for me to do....I didn't use their service but they really directed me to what I needed to know. We contracted with Vets Electric to do a number of odd electrical installations. A couple of the requests were difficult: for example, installing a sconce that sits above a staircase to the basement and a large circular LED fixture in the dining room. Found Vets electric through Home Advisor. I scheduled an appointment for a bid to upgrade our main electrical panel and to provide service to an auxillary building and greenhouse. Jesse called to inform he was on his way as scheduled. As we walked the project area Jesse asked questions and provided input that resulted in a detailed estimate of the project. After I accepted their bid I worked with Cassie, at their office, to schedule the project. She did an excellent job working within my time requirements to have the job scheduled. On the day of the project Vince and his crew arrived on time. We walked the project areas and reviewed the bid documents. This extra effort resulted in a complete project with no issues to be resolved. The crew was courteous, respected our request to keep the gates closed to corral the dogs, completed all the work requested and cleaned up the their work areas. A numbers addition and permit issue came up but both were immediately and satisfactorily resolved by Jesse and Cassie. I called Vets for a project no other electrician was eager to take on--the modulating switch for my propane fireplace. Happy ending is that the switch is now installed, for the price quoted, and with a pleasant professional crew who appeared on time and prepared to undertake the job. We also had them install another electrical outlet elsewhere in the house. Everyone from the office staff, to the person who quoted the job (Jessie, the owner), and the crew led by John were helpful, knowledgeable, careful and cautious with my home, and a pleasure.
