I recently moved into a new home. The previous owner had a new gate and equipment installed just before I bought the house. Within days of moving in the gate failed but was under warranty. I called the gate company, they came out and made adjustments, but the gate failed days later. It was apparent the new gate was too heavy for the fence posts which caused the gate to sag and threw off the alignment. Since this was the company that installed the gate I knew I would never be happy with their work or company so I fired them. I then found VG Tech. Dmitry and his crew were amazing. I recently had the pleasure of working with Dmitri to repair the gate for our business. A delivery person threw a large box over the gate which got stuck behind the gate. When we tried to open the gate, the box wedged into the are where the gate recedes and eventually fried the electronics of the gate controller. We called a gate service company we had previously used. When they arrived, they literally inspected the gate for 5 minutes and declared the whole system needed to be replaced. They tried to pressure me into purchasing a new system for $5,800. They claimed the gate controller was so old that it couldn't be fixed. This was a complete lie. I ended up paying for a service call that was more fraud than service. I then called VG-Tech since they were fairly close to our office. He came the next day and had the gates issues diagnosed in literally 30 minutes. We were so happy with the service that we had Dmitri do some long neglected mechanical maintenance on the gate. The next day we had a glitch in the gate and VG-Tech came right over to take care of it. I'm really happy with the whole experience I had with Dmitri. Our electric gate stopped working, my husband had tried calling a different gate company for almost 2 weeks and the guy kept giving him the "I'll be there this week" but would never show up. Our solar-powered automatic gate was installed by another company less than a year ago; and it has been unreliable at best, malfunctioning at the most crucial times - including when I was trying to get my wife to the hospital before sunrise. The Problem: Our home gate was having trouble sliding correctly and would get stuck about half way only to swing back shut closed. It was a very annoying and bothersome problem. After about halfway through the slide, it was jump sporadically and we would manually open the gate. My garage door has lasted for about 10 years without problems. Last week the motor for my garage had stopped working altogether. Our gate liked to play a little game called "I'll open when I want and won't when I don't want to" so we would have to kick the side of the box to reset it, all the time... I called around for someone to fix driveway motorized swing gate. This guy said he can do the job and can arrive on site in an hour. So I thought to give him a try at a house call price of $175. These guys arrived on time, went straight to work, identified the problem of dead batteries in box. Replaced the batteries, double checked the gate swing motion, checked and greased the Liftmaster arm. They finished the job in an hour. Vg-Tech you are the rock! My gate stopped working and I originally called a different company. They only charged $19 for a service call, sounds good right but.. After fumbling around for 35 minutes, they diagnosed the problem as a bad circuit board. That will cost me $1,500 to repair it.
