Crème brûlée

Food was good, and the servers were great. A small quiet restaurant, a little more upscale and than what you'd expect from an Olive Garden. The crème brûlée was fantastic!

Chicken Parm

My husband and I had a great dinner at Via 417 in Jenkintown. The food was genuinely good, our calamari was lightly breaded (not heavy or greasy) and cooked perfectly. We also tried a chicken parm type of dish, as well as a lemony chicken pasta dish and both were really satisfying and flavorful. Service was smooth, the vibe was relaxed, and it felt like the kind of neighborhood spot you're happy to have nearby. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely be back.

Excellent and authentic pasta dishes. I went with a group, so I got to try a lot of different dishes, and I thought all were excellent! I'll definitely be back.

Pappardelle pasta over short ribs

This is a wonderful spot in the heart of Jenkintown. It's small, cozy, and serves really delicious food. This was my first time and it didn't disappoint. This place is a well known goto for locals so make sure you have a reservation. It's also BYOB which I always like. We started with the beet salad, Caesar salad and escargot. The beets were perfectly cooked and served with a vinaigrette over greens and fresh ricotta. The Caesar was cold, crisp and fresh with flavorful croutons. The escargot was a delightful surprise as they were paired with mushrooms and garlic butter sauce. They were tender and the sauce was heaven with the bread. Our main dishes were the pappardelle pasta over short rib and the seafood risotto. Both were very good and ample servings. The seafood was fresh and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The servers were very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed our experience and we will certainly be back.

Pasta Special (Pappardelle with Shrimp/Spicy Italian Sausage)

Was in the area and decided to make a reservation and stop by for dinner. We were seated swiftly at ~6:20pm on a Sunday evening (the restaurant never got too busy - we were seated pretty close to another table despite the mostly empty restaurant which was strange, though I loved sitting by the window). Our server brought our water and complimentary bread in a timely manner and went over all the specials of the day. The bread was mediocre and nothing special. We decided to order fried calamari to start as well as the chicken parm and the pasta special (pappardelle with shrimp and spicy Italian sausage in a mushroom cream sauce). The fried calamari came with some pickled peppers and was pretty disappointing; I'd skip this. As for the entrees, the chicken parm was hefty and was pretty tasty (taste was on par/standard to other Italian restaurants in Philly/Philly area). The pasta special was delicious with perfectly al dente noodles in a scrumptious cream sauce. My only complaint was that it was $42 which felt pretty steep relative to other menu items (for example, seafood risotto with mussels, shrimp, and clams is only $30). As for dessert, we finished with the tiramisu which was yummy, though again pretty standard to other Italian restaurants (it is less coffee-forward / more cream heavy). Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 3/5 * Calamari: 1/5 * Chicken Parm: 3/5 * Pasta Special: 4.5/5 * Tiramisu: 3.5/5 Value: 2/5

Small but mighty BYOB! Fantastic food. Will definitely return for a special occasion. Excited to try more!

My bro had clams and linguine and loved it. Shrimp were perfect with crunchy bread and spectacular sauce. I love something you cannot even come close to at home. Will go back for good food, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Came here this evening with my husband for a celebration dinner. Quaint Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Jenkintown. BYOB. We were served by the owner of the restaurant. He developed the menu himself. Everything we tried was very good and presentation was beautiful. Portion sizes were relatively small. The bread could've been better because it was seriously lacking in flavor. It was just plain white sandwich bread. It would've been nice if they served Parmesan cheese with the pasta. This place really put it's energy into bringing out the flavors by carefully selecting each ingredient to ensure it blends well. We bought a gift card here to give to our friends, because we thought the main course was decent and the atmosphere was nice.

Pesto linguine with seafood...delicious

Was referred by the cashier at ACME. It's a new restaurant with very good food and great price points. We were seated right away without a reservation. The staff and service was above and beyond my expectations. The daily specials were excellent. Ordered the pesto past and seafood special. It was a 10 out of 10. The appetizers of calamari and mussels were good. The mussels came with hot peppers. The desserts were good. We got the cheesecake special which was good. It's a BYOB. The restaurant is small but enjoyable. The after dinner coffee was good. I can't wait to go back. It will be on rotation for good Italian food.

Small BYOB in Jenkintown. A little tight and can be a bit noisy. Food is very good and wait staff is very nice.

To the Point - Fresh, flavorful southern style cooking that taste home cooked while upholding great…read moreservice. They say welcome home when you enter the building, and they were spot on. The space isn't huge but it's very cute ambience with a chandelier of plants cascading the ceiling with simple decor. We both ordered chicken and waffles, the chicken is perfectly fried. Crunchy but not too much or less batter that holds a juicy thigh. The seasoning felt simple but the flavors were anything but. The waffle was big and dense with the outer layer having a subtle crisp that reveals a soft interior. Again, very subtle seasonings, they are not overloading the food with masses of flavoring, these people know how to work around their ingredients and let them shine. The chicken and waffles get a phenomenal 9/10 We also purchased an order of Fish and Grits to share with the lobster sauce on the side as I have a slight shellfish allergy and the waitress insisted on putting it in the side even though I told her it was ok (I appreciate the consideration). I rarely order this type of meal but man do I not regret it at all. I'm not even sure what kind of fish I consumed but it was so perfectly fried with the gentlest breading that complemented the perfectly cooked fish. Again the seasonings are subtle, it's not really the boldest of flavors, it just tasted good. The grits were savory while not being overwhelming when combining the fish which ended up being very satisfying bite. The Fish And Grits gets an amazing 9.5/10 I will be coming back, I'd like to try more of what they offer. These people are masters of frying things to perfection while retaining the core flavors of the protein. The staff was friendly and you can feel the soul they breathe into the place. I highly recommend giving them a chance.

First time coming to West Ave Grille after driving and walking by it for many many years…read more Always seemed to hear great things about it, so wanted to see what the hype was really about. Ordered the Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes and TBA Wrap (Turkey, Bacon Avocado). The pancakes were amazing and I loved the crisp edges and how the flavor permeated through all the layers. Really crushed these! The wrap was also good, very fresh and the waffle fries were nice. Overall a great experience and great service and vibes within the restaurant. Only complaint would be it is a little pricey but assume that's due to their playing off their Food Network "fame" maybe. Definitely will still go back to try some more items!

Excellent food. Wait time varies depending on when you go…read more We were first told it would be about 20 mins for a table for two which was fine, we weren't in a rush. The problem is when the hostess shift changed, we seemed to have gotten lost on the waitlist, ended up with a longer wait and had to check-in and it was only then that we were seated. Decor and ambiance is nice, it's inviting, clean and the staff is friendly. I do think they could benefit from additional staff. The waitress who took our order was not who ended up bringing us our meal. It might have been the manager when he noticed we had been waiting a while. I appreciated that it didn't go unnoticed but with this being such a popular brunch spot they could use additional staff. The food was well worth the wait. Pure deliciousness. Grits nice and creamy and lightly seasoned so you can enjoy any additions such as the fried chicken or seafood. The price point is to be expected for the times we are in so that was cool and within reason to me. The only thing I did find slightly unreasonable was that ONE biscuit cost $5! And it was small. Feels like you should at least get two for that price given the small size. It can be hard finding parking even with the paid lots in the area and meter parking on the street but if you ride around long enough you'll find a spot. Even with the few nits I'd say this is a great brunch spot, delicious food and friendly staff. I'll be back!
