Not too shabby. I have known Via Baci was in this lot for quite some time as I grew up around it, but have never tried it until now! First, the atmosphere is great! The inside is so hip looking and I love that you can see the kitchen and the chefs cook. Some pretty good looking options on the menu, I got a steak salad which was good but definitely lacked steak. Staff seemed nice just very overwhelemed (it's the holidays so I understand guys, thank you for your hard work). The wine was tasty! It wasn't really busy inside at all, but I'd maybe come back another time of the year that is less hectic for the staff. Just gonna throw this out there it was really hard to wash my hands as the sink faucet didn't quite go out far enough for the kind of sink they have and my hands were up againts the rim. I've been here a few times. Service tends to be rather slow but usually polite. We love their pumpkin ravioli. The sauce was mild but had a pleasant flavor. The pumpkin raviolis were well cooked and the filling had a rich and earthy flavor. Whole dish has a mild alcohol flavor to me, as someone who is sensitive to that. I didn't find it to be overwhelming or anything though. Pizzas are really great too, and they do half and half specialties. We liked their Vesuvius and Chicken Blanco. Chicken could have had more flavor. We accidentally got spaghetti with marinara instead of the olive oil sauce but it was yummy and they took the whole thing off the bill which I thought was pleasant considering we ate it anyway. The spicy sausage my husband had to have. He enjoys such things and loved this one a lot. The only bad thing was the garlic stuffed steak which is why we even came here today, sadly. It was ordered medium well but came way over cooked and no one came to check on us in a timely fashion to try and fix it. I tried to chow it down anyway but it was too tough to enjoy and I regretted not sending it back. Ah well. We will return another time, hopefully the steak will be better the next time I try it. read more

Lawsuit waiting to happen. Served an alcoholic drink to a recovering alcoholic who ordered a non-alcoholic drink. Ordered a non-alcoholic mocktail by its name on the menu. They served an alcoholic drink (with similar flavors to the non-alcoholic one that had been ordered). Since the flavors and expected (orange) color was not alarming at first, my dining partner proceeded to drink it, noting that it did taste a little funny. She thought that perhaps the flavor combination (orange and basil) was just odd, and continued taking sips. After a few minutes, she suggested I taste it. It definitely had alcohol, and my dining partner is an alcoholic. I brought it to the attention of the server, who immediately felt terrible for serving the wrong drink. On our way out of the restaurant, I spoke with the manager about the situation, even noting that my friend is an alcoholic. She barely offered an apology, and didn't seem to care at all. read more

This place has been around since I was in high school. In fact I worked there... but I still feel I can write an unbiased review more than ten years later right ‍ They house make their mozzarella and their sauce. The tomato sauce here is so good that I can't bring myself to order a white pizza. My favorite is the margarita because I am simple like that. Second favorite is the Adriatico.... but I get it with red sauce. This one has artichoke, tomatoes, garlic and pine nuts. It is seriously delicious and has a taste I have never had on another pizza before. Their chapters salad is excellent and a must since they make their own cheese. It is amazing how much flavor comes out of such a small little place. This is still one of my favorite places for pizza and I will continue to visit every time I am in the area. Yum! read more

Went to this joint late at 9 pm on a sat. Plenty of seating for dinner. The staff was nice and friendly and parking was no issue. I ordered a chicken parmesan meal to stay on the safe side. It was definitely different from the usual. The difference was in the sauce of the dish. It was more soupy and not your usual thickness of a sauce. However, it was delicious. The flavor was tasty with a slight kick. Noodles and chicken was great too. I would definitely return to try out their pizza next time or maybe another pasta dish. read more

Via Baci has long been a favorite. It's expensive--about $80 every time we go, without alcohol. But the artichoke and spinach dip is delicious. Pizzas, pastas, and salads all very good. I don't think that they're still doing the half-price wine night, which is too bad, but I could be wrong. Very nice place for girls' night, date night, or family dinners. My kids love the mac and cheese and the cioppino. The Caesar salad is good, if not outstanding. I usually get it anyway. read more

I stopped here while exploring Lone Tree on foot to try their soup and salad combo. I opted to sit outside and enjoy the never ending sunny days! It's awesome! Their Caesar salad was fresh, hefty portion and sprinkled with just enough croutons. I agree! I'm not a fan of heavy amount of croutons. The soup of the day was a bit lackluster I can't even recall what it was but the small slice of pita bread that came with the combo was fresh. This location sits across from a Super Target. My husband and I have been going to Via Baci for years, and have always had a good experience with food and service. I brought my daughter tonight to split a pizza. I ordered my usual but the server Shelbi acted like I had made some crazy request. She told me they can't do that, I said I've ordered it that way before and and she snapped "I've never had that request" under her breath and then spun around and left. We were kinda stunned actually. We were being very polite and she was so rude. She practically tossed out pizza on the table, (clearly not the way we had ordered it) with a smirk. We were sitting outside and I could see her inside tossing her hair back and laughing with some man, so clearly she just had a problem with us. This was our first visit to this place and we were surprised. We had the pizza and pasta carbonara, both were amazing! The staff was very friendly even though we arrived close to closing. If you are looking for a very different tasting Italian restaurant and not your run-of-the-mill it all tastes the same place, you have to check this place out. Have ordered curbside takeout from Via Baci twice in the past few weeks. Both times outstanding. The caprese salad presentation was beautiful, even in a to-go container, with a symmetrical trio of basil, mozzarella and grape tomatoes stacked on a bed of arugula. The basil, tomatoes and arugula were fresh, and the mozzarella had a great texture. The vinaigrette was well mixed and very nicely balanced. Two pieces of flavorful, well seasoned herb bread accompanied the salad. But the pepperoni pizza was even more of a standout -- from the savory arabbiata sauce (many other pizzerias seem to err on the side of sweetness) to the generous but not overdone mozzarella and pepperoni. The chewy crust was not overly doughy. This is the only pizza in the area that the whole family agrees on. And the last time we ordered it, I did not gain weight the next day. Huge bonus! read more

Lunch Break Alert! Went here to celebrate a co-worker's birthday on lunch this Friday. We work in DTC so we thought this must be a pretty special place to come if she wanted to come all the way south! We got seated right away and got our drinks as we waited for others to join us. We decided to order because we had to get back to the office before the others. After our coworkers arrived, they ordered 10 or so minutes later and somehow their food arrived before ours. I felt the service was extremely slow!! I understand it's mainly pizza and pasta so I wasn't sure why we had to wait so long especially when we ordered way before our other guests. The service was fine, nothing extraordinary. I did appreciate that our waiter split up our bills and gave them to us when our food came out as we told him we had meetings to get back to. The food was fine, I had a lemon caper angel hair pasta. I do enjoy the bread crostini that comes with the entrees. We didn't have drinks or dessert so I can't comment there. Next time I know to just order as soon as we are seated if I'm ever on a time limit. (Disclosure: we had an hour and a half for lunch so the fact that we waited so long says something) read more

There is a reason when a restaurant publishes their menu but NO prices - its because its very OVERPRICED for the food you get! The Pizza is very good wood fired but not enough toppings or cheese for the ridiculous price and its small!! The pasta was decent but once again such a tiny portion for the ridiculous price - its pasta so cheap with tomato sauce so cheap! The menu is limited for Italian restaurant. My soup was barely warm and food comes out too fast right after you ordered - felt rushed. Would Not return as for my money this restaurant doesnt deliver. read more

I was looking on yelp for someplace different for lunch that was too far when I read the review on via Baci,I thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at th size of the interior not a place for a romantic dinner but definitely a place for good food and great service. We were greeted at the door with a smile and taken to a table by the window. The food was great I had the pasta pomodoro. I came for lunch and was happy with my experience. They DO have a happy hour so perhaps plan a visit around that. A friend and I split a pizza and an appetizer. The pizza itself was very savory but didn't really do anything special for me. The crowning jewel in my mind was the Brussel's sprouts appetizer. They were crispy and savory and came with the smoothest goat cheese...and now I'm salivating. Real talk, the server suggested that this dish was fine to split between 2 people. Maybe she was wrong or maybe she misjudged just how much I love Brussel's sprouts. Either way, I wouldn't hold that against anyone. TRY THIS. Overall, I would come back (if only for that appetizer....and maybe to explore the menu a bit more). The environment was clean and simple. Holy cow does this place need a customer service overhaul! Incorrect orders, forgotten items, missed refills, multiple trips due to inefficiency, ask me if I'm done before taking my plate. If you're looking for every aspect of bad customer service, this place does it all. If you want tasty pizza, they have it. But good customer service they do not. We were one of 4 occupied tables in the whole place at 2:30 in the afternoon. I can't imagine what they'd be like when even remotely busy. read more

I'm so disappointed in the food and the service from Via Bachi last night. We ordered online 2 meals. They were ready an hour after promised. After waiting in the car for the grossly late meal they didn't have all of the meal together! Waited another 25 min for 2 meatballs. (My boyfriend had to loose it so they would complete our order.) It was like there was no organization in place. There was another customer with the same problem right behind us. The food once we got it home was barely average! Meatballs in spaghetti sauce should not have a char flavor to them! The portion size seemed like a child's menu portion. Really disappointed in this restaurant. We will not be back which is unfortunate because we are so desperately trying to keep the restaurants in business.... read more

The pizza I ordered hardly had any ingredients on it. I ordered the margerita pizza. It was basically crust with tomato sauce and six whole basil leaves that were old. and who wants all that basil anyway. I added 2 veggies.. a teaspoon of chopped red peppers and a half tsp of green onion is all they put on it. They charge 1.99 for additional ingredients which are barely visible on a pizza. My friend's pizza looked better but they were both super expensive for what you got. Also...the management was a bit horrified when I shpwed them the pizza heading out. No help at all though.
