We also ordered steak with fried rice. And the meat was incredibly chewy, which made us realize the quality was cheap and inedible. Price on ChowNow was $20.55, in-person store price is $18. Compared to a year ago, this was $16. The mark-up is steep. There has been no chicken or beef shortages. The only saving grace was the yucca fries. We also tipped the workers for picking up our own food. All in all, for a dinner for two, this was close to $70. When I showed the owner the price discrepancy, he shrugged and said "the ownership has recently changed" and they'll take a look at the online ordering prices. I feel Iike this restaurant has been dishonest about their pricing throughout this past year but I have given them chances to change their prices to reflect what they post in-person to be current online. I feel like this is incredibly deceptive. I would not recommend coming here as there are better quality chicken restaurants (to dine in and pick up) in the city.

Skye our server was incredible, went above and beyond to make our experience great! We also learned about Peruvian cuisine and Pisco! Love the decor, felt very cozy! The only weird thing that happened, we added on the all you could drink wine to go along with our tasting menu. There were three reds and three whites to choose from. Things were going along great and then a manager in a suit asked if we needed anything and we asked for the next White on the list. He brought it to us then told us this was the last one in our tasting. We mentioned that the menu says all you can drink. The portions they poured were tasting size portions each time, and our plan was to try each of them. We pointed out what the menu said, he said let me check. He brought Luis over who agreed that's what the menu said. Ultimately, we had a good time, but that made us feel weird that we had to even point that out when it was very clear on the menu. I've included the photo of the menu in case upper management would like to make sure if it is not all you can drink to change the wording. And if it is to make sure Mgmt. doesn't make guests feel uncomfortable for asking for more.

Kind of fun decor - expected more from this Jose Andres restaurant because we really enjoyed the sister restaurant, Oyamel nearby (try that place instead!)

Far from a standard dining experience, the multi-course tasting menu here is a masterclass in storytelling through food, structured around Peru's distinct topographical regions. Every course is presented with insight and depth of the food you are able to consume. The flavors are bold. The courses are well thought through. The service is impeccable. From start to finish, we were greeted with warmth. Everything you eat wakes up the palate without overwhelming you. If you aren't into seafood, this journey through Peru may not be for you. We settled on the four course tasting menu and ordered an extra ceviche. To be honest, this felt more like a seven course meal. The textures, color and artistry are unparalleled. Causa isn't just a meal--it's an evocative, deeply memorable exploration of Peruvian gastronomy. It is absolutely a must-visit for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or experience culinary storytelling at its absolute finest. I'm still thinking about the Heart of Palm, scallop ceviche, sweet potato sea urchin dish.

It hasn't really bounced back just yet. But I also feel like we are in a bubble too. Our street looks vacant, but once you walk to one end of the block or other, the opportunities are within sight. I have seen this place when I have had the pleasure to drive into work. However, it's not an establishment that I would walk to for lunch. DC blocks can be super long to walk and it can take a while to cross the busy streets. With our event coming up I figured why not. We went with the 40 Person Package from their catering menu. I think they under-describe this. It states it is for 40 people, but the amount of food you receive can easily feed more than that. Especially when it comes with four full pan sized side dishes. Definitely enough food to feed a crew and have leftovers. For our sides we went with White Rice, Plantains, Mashed Potatoes, and House Salad. All the food was received well by our crew and they were pleased to be able to partake in what was left after the meal was done. The White Rice comes with peas and carrots right in it. The Plantains are fried perfectly. Mashed Potatoes were velvety (sadly they appear to have taken them off the menu since we ordered). And the House Salad was a light side to rest of the rich food. What was over the top here was the delivery of the food. This was two weeks post snowstorm and the streets of DC were still mini mountains to climb. Our delivery person was amazing with the delivery. He, however, had the mishap of the mashed potatoes deciding to ditch before being delivered. He was very apologetic, cleaned it off the sidewalk outside, and went back to the restaurant to bring a fresh tray. That is superb service in my mind.

The Lomo Saltado with Filet Mignon is consistently delicious and packed with flavor, and the Shrimp Saltado is another go-to depending on my mood. The service is friendly and pretty quick during the weekdays, though it can take a little longer during busier times. I typically take my food home, but La Cosecha has plenty of seating and a fun atmosphere if you want to stay and eat.
