Above and beyond, the best brewery in Winchester! Vibrissa is the place to go for good vibes, solid beer and tasty food. I've been here many times and have never had a bad experience. The servers are always top notch and extremely personable. I usually get the Smash burger and it never disappoints. The location has a style and vibe that no other brewery in the area can match.

The Death by Chocolate is a unique and special beer. Like drinking dessert. Not too sweet. Not bitter like standard stouts. We love this place every time we go. The nachos are a hit and my "non-sourdough" wife loves the sour dough pizza crust and sandwiches.

Cali Chicken sandwich was very good, we started out with pretzel and since no pictures I will post

Local brewery with a great menu. Great space located in the former Winchester Star newspaper space with amble outdoor seating as well. Delicious pizza! Sourdough pizza crust is next level. So good. Friendly service too.

The food was amazing! They have a variety of options to choose from and they were all delicious. The staff was attentive. It was on the pricey side and louder because we went in the evening but it was great!

The beers were excellent. Great atmosphere and very dog friendly. The pups had a fun time playing in the patio area. Loved the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. We will return to try other beers and food.

Beer is great and well worth the hour drive. Very well balanced, German beer of all styles. Go! You won't be disappointed!

Not sure who would really be sitting out there.. Once inside,, the Brewery is spacious with enough seating both bar and tables for a good size group of beer dinners.  I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of all 10 beers they had on tap. All the beer at Escutcheon is drinkable, crushable and reasonably price for $6-7 a pint. And, the beer here is true to style.  No extra flavors, just good beer by the numbers. Brian was our beertender and he was great.  Thanks Brian, your sense of humor and knowledge of the beer as well as nautical terms made our night way better.  The brewers name is John and he brews clean flavors.  It is comforting when the beers taste like what they are. The BEER: Growler Kolsch 4.5% ABV... crisp and refreshing Fancy Clancy Pilsner 4.5% ABV... a light Pilsner for those Miller or Bud fans Maggie's Cream Ale 4.5% ABV... reminds me of Genesee Cream Ale, really drinkable Agonic Line Lager 5% ABV... I love this Lager, because it tastes like what it is Spica Hefeweizen 5.6% ABV... It's a not so typical hefe. Yummm... Bowditch American Pale Ale 5% ABV... APAs are not my palet, but this one was pretty good Plimsoll IPA 6.5% ABV... FIRE!!! This is delicious Slip Angle New England IPA 7% ABV... says its a NEIPA, but has the flavor profile of a west coast IPA Habermehels Oktoberfest lager 6.5 ABV... liked this One alot Annealed Coffee Stout 6.5% ABV... smells like coffee, tastes like coffee, give me some bacon and I've got breakfast For my first experience here, I was very impressed.  None of the ABVs were ridiculously high and the beers were true to their styles.  For me that was very comforting.  I am finding that here in Winchester, a night of beer drinking is Uber Affordable.  And Escutcheon is not the exception, but the rule.  If you want great beer at even greater affordability, Escutcheon is the place to visit.  I will be returning soon.

Maybe 12 people seated in the entire room. Took our seats... we were approached after 10 mins. Menus. Waited another 10 minutes. Bartender asks for our order. We ordered our food and he responded, "I wanted your drink order". Really?! Ordered four glasses of water and two apps. We asked for one app to be divided on two plates, bartender said "I'm not gonna do that. They're (kitchen) busy". We sucked down our food and water, asked for the check twice due to being on a time constraint. Dude never acknowledged. My husband finally stopped the bartender, asked for his name. "Brian/Bryan" while walking away. We left enough cash on the bar to cover our bill with a generous tip just so we could get out of there. Worse dining experience we've had an extremely long time. Bryan/Brian's attitude was nothing shy of being inconvenienced. Won't ever return!

I passed it twice. AND, the funniest part is you have to enter through the pizzeria, make a right, go through another door and then up the stairs. When we walked through the other door at the top of the stairs,, it was like walking into a disco. Funk/Disco music jamming in the background, disco ball... taking me back to my rollerblading days. It is a small venue with limited seating, but they do have a full menu including apps, salads and pizza. Everything you'd need to pair with your beer. Impressive! What was most exciting was the flights. THREE 8 oz. Pours for a whopping $12 bucks. Can you say, "Winning!" The BEER: Well... Ya Know Belgian Ale 6.8% ABV... it was a little more hoppy than I am used to in a Belgian, still quite good. Reminded me of Unholy by Coppertial Gen 2 Indian Pale Ale 7.4% ABV... a solid IPA, slightly hoppy and citrusy. LUV IT Hazy Mindset hazy IPA 8.1% ABV... hazy citrus delicious and to be over 8%, you'd never know it. FIRE! Loka Koko coconut Stout 6.7% ABV... semi sweet chocolate and coconut. Like a dark chocolate almond joy. GREAT! Fish Face Meher lemon sour 8% ABV... it had a different taste, it was okay. Life on Marzen lager 6.1% ABV... absolutely awful! Down Unda IPA 7.1% ABV... if you don't like Life on Marzen, you will hate this. Most of the beer was awesome. The service was top notch. They had 2 people managing the bar and they were very attentive. Even for our table in the corner. Didn't get to try the food on this visit, but I will return.

We came in to get drinks to go with our food (we got food from the food truck outside "Firebox"). The food from Firebox was good and it was a generous portion for the price. The drink options that were not beer were limited, and half of those options on the menu weren't available. My partner got the berry chocolate stout and said it was "pretty good". We hoped to sit outside, but the only available table had broken glass all over it from a busted door. It does have convenient parking and I liked the industrial decor. The service was good and the lady was very nice. One thing I will point out is that one of our glasses had pink lipstick on it from a previous customer. But if you only want beer and a place to chill - it might be just right for you.

I also appreciate the ample outdoor seating available. Always a big plus for me, even if the outdoor area is really just tables set up on the sidewalk overlooking the parking lot - as it is in this case. The service was fine. It wasn't crazy busy there but the bartender had a little edge to her like we were more on an annoyance than a patron. They have a refill club where you can buy a mug and get your name printed on it with discounted refills. Again I appreciate that kind of thing, but the bartender seemed way more interested in some of the regulars than us. Just the vibe she gave off that night I guess. And lastly the beer...it's solid. Not great, but solid. Lots of darker beers which is fine for me personally, but the darks outnumbered the IPAs, pilsners, etc the night we were there. I'd expect a little more variety. Still, it's good enough that I'd go back next time I'm in Cumberland, but not so good that I'd make a special trip out of my way. My scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive up to 30 minutes just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here
