Update review 2026: I've been raving about coming back and Georgina's did not disappoint. In the same location. They didnt change anything. Ambiance still relaxed. Focus will be on service and food. We were attended to right away. We both ordered diet cokes. And a cordzza to share for an appetiser and with italian bread knots. Cordozza is like an italian grilled cheese made with foccacia and mozarella im between. Then dunked in bread crumbs and deep fried with tomato cream sauce. One word: Delicious!!!! We used the bread knots to mop up the rest of the sauce. Then we had our respective mains: I got a salmon picatta and my colleague got a lasagna. My salmon picatta was delicious. Salmon was delicious and perfectly done. Cooked and not dry. Just perfect! The lemon sauce on linguini is a little tangy. And I'm already salivating whilst writing about it. I do believe there were little capers in it. And a wonderful pairing it was. Not wanting to leave without our desserts- we each got our favourites. For me, a tiramisu and for my colleague and dear friend- a slice of red velvet cake. It was a wonderful night. Yes... I admit- a lot of carbs. But it was well worth the wait! Georgina's may be my favorite Italian restaurant in the greater Triangle area, and that's coming from someone who spent most of my life in the great Italian-American diaspora of northern New Jersey. What makes a good Italian restaurant. First of all, it has to have an owner who takes pride in their food, service, AND atmosphere, and Ro, the owner here (short for Rosemarie), delivers on all fronts. The location is perfect, in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The outdoor seating area is spacious and attractive. The indoor space is pleasant. The servers are kind and conscientious (shoutout to Tiffany), and the food is exactly what you want in an Italian restaurant -- great red sauce, all the red sauce favorites, made with quality ingredients (no greasy cheap mozzarella here!), hearty sandwiches and stromboli, great pizza, and some lesser-known dishes. I've had the pizza, the meatball sandwich, the chicken parm (I told you I'm from New Jersey where that's what we call it, though I DON'T call "mozzarella" "mutzadell"), the chicken/mozzarella panini, and the chicken marsala. All of them are perfectly cooked and generously portioned. The broccoli and spinach sides are perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of garlic. The most recent time I was there (April 11, 2026) there was a very young singer of American standards named Liam Rocka. It's unusual to see a guy that young in a porkpie-type hat, suit, and natty red pocket square. This young man has the crooner phrasing down to a T, though he occasionally ventures off-key, because while Sinatra made it sound easy, this stuff is really hard to sing, and it's a delight to see someone this young loving this music. He gets bonus points with me for apparently having discovered Frank Sinatra by watching old Warner Bros. cartoons. The most recent time I was there, I stupidly left my credit card in the folder with the check, and when I called, Ro got on the phone and said she has it, and I went down and retrieved it. And she required me to prove who I was to get it, which is important. I've taken my retirees group here for lunch in the past, and I'll schedule another lunch there soon. At a time when restaurants are increasingly moving to the "fast casual" model, with plastic cutlery and takeout containers, Georgina's is a welcome throwback to the way restaurants should be. Go! I still trying to figure this place out insofar as where the customer fits in. One thing is always forgetting that there's no substituting, even if you want to pay the extra charge, which I find strange. I just wanted to skip the side with a meatball sandwich and get soup instead, even offering to pay the difference, but no. So had to order the soup separately, which was very good, but then when my meatball sandwich came out it was without the side I choose, since I was told I had to pick one. Then I had to remind the waitress I asked for the side to be packaged to go. The sauce on the sandwich was good, as was the bread, but the meatball itself was a bit bland. My spouse had the chicken marsala with pasta and started with a salad. She really enjoyed the balsamic vinegarette. She did feel the marsala could stand to be a bit sweeter. Oddly her dinner entree did not come with any bread or an offer for any. Georgina, you confound me with your rules. We only return every now because we forget what we disliked until we're here. pretty decent food! being from NYC I know my pizza and this pizza is very good impostor, however I was very disappointed with the service and ambiance of this restaurant :( the owner seemed very pleasant however the service kept VERY long I came in and it took me 20 minutes to be seated and then 40 minutes for my pizza which is understandable on a busy night but this was a weekday and looked to be hardly anyone inside non-the less I didn't mind waiting, but waiting inside was like being cooked alive! it was unbearable pushing maybe 78 degrees I talked to staff and explained the issue with the air conditioning I just could only hope they get this issue sorted out before higher end events or service read more

In the twenty years I have been going to Georgina's it has only gotten better and better. Best pizza in Cary, hands down. My husband prefers a take out dish to pizza so tonight he ordered spicy chicken Isabella. They will always cook to your specific request and their dishes are traditional Italian - all excellent. We haven't been here in years and I was craving some baked ziti, so here we go. The restaurant wasn't extremely packed, but it was busy and those around us were enjoying their meals. Our waiter was very attentive and didn't make us feel rushed in any way when we were trying to figure out the rest of our order. The menu has lots to choose from - baked pastas, regular pasta entrees, pizza and something else that's exciting - pizza by the slice. My kid ordered the pizza by the slice and was very happy when she got it. Most places have thin, greasy pizza where the pizza kind of falls apart when you pick it up. Not here though - had a great crisp to it and she said it was one of the best she's had. They didn't skimp on toppings either. I got the baked ziti which never fails me here. You can pick what type of pasta you want, but it's ziti so I have to go for the penne. Here's a picture of it half eaten because I couldn't wait to eat. :) Also, they have yummy looking desserts - we've had the tiramisu and limoncello cake before but had no room this time. Georgina's never disappoints. For a couple of years now I have joined my best friend for some of the best Italian food I've had in my 49 years. Authentic, full of flavor, always hot and delivered to the table with wonderful service, this restaurant checks all of my boxes. I always feel as though I have entered a very cute and quaint little Italian pizzeria, the smell of good food over takes the senses the time the door opens and I can't wait to have a seat and dig in to some good eats. I recommend the garlic knots (with extra garlic and cheese) mmm mm mmmmmm, the calamari, and for certain the Arancini Di Riso Arborio (Rice Balls) for your appetizers. For dinner, the chicken parm, eggplant parm, and the chicken Marsala are spot on, tongue tantalizing.. amazing (I'm an angel hair pasta guy). For dessert the cheesecake or the cannoli just sweetens the overall experience. Heck, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The plates are full of tasty food and so is my belly and my to go boxes when I leave. Trust me. I am a food snob, and yet, I keep coming back! And an extra shout out to the owner who always makes time out of her busy restaurant to visit our table and ask how we enjoyed the meal and the service. I'm a business owner and had another venue booked for our annual Christmas party. At the last minute, the other place cancelled on us. They had overbooked. Needless to say, I was a little freaked out. Someone recommended me to call this establishment. The people here were so accommodating. They were able to give us a space and a wonderful meal. I had ordered too much food and they told me that. They suggested to reduce my order. That's integrity. They could have just accepted my order, made it, and watched me figure out what to do with it. The food was wonderful, the staff were attentive, kind and engaging. We had a great time, even though there was a faux Hurricane outside. Despite another long wait , Georgina's food is worth the wait. The staff were definitely overworked and trying to stay on top of it, apologizing several times. You felt sorry for them, enough to help them out, by getting things they couldn't get to. We had a little hangry starting to creep in but waited patiently. Lovely casual seating outside, nice inside too, but I love the outdoors in summer. Great menu options, pizza, pasta, Stromboli, calzones, sandwiches. Decent wine and beer list, which took a solid 30 mins to come out after ordering . At least we had water! Food wise we had an array we ordered. I got the pasta marinara which I shared, the neopolitan pizzas were their specialty , we had the veggie and BBQ chicken, the grandma crust which is their thin crust, only in a 16 inch, we had the meat lovers. Also on the table the pasta Francese. For appetizers we had the buffalo wings and calamari. I have to say all the food was really good, I loved the marinara sauce, and it was a huge plate of paste. I don't think they make their own pasta though. We were disappointed on one count that they were out of gluten free pasta, for our celiac diner, but they did bring out the meatballs even though they were out of pasta. Which were really quite good. The pizzas were really good, full of toppings great crust. The grandma one looked amazing, crust was a bit thicker than I thought it would be. The francese was breaded chicken with pasta , another great big portion. We all loved the food. Just required a lot of patience to wait. Sometimes I did wonder if they'd forgotten us as we were the only ones seated outside. Honestly I would eat here again based on food choices and the quality. Just don't go really hungry! Visit on 5.11.2024 Our waitress was hardly seen and the food was just OK. This was our first experience here and I had higher hopes of a great meal and service. I had ordered diet Pepsi and it was too sweet. Asked her if there was a problem with the dispenser and she said she would check. Came back and said there was.. never offered a replacement. My 2 daughters are prior servers and were highly annoyed with ours yesterday. It was very slow there, all the more reason for our server to dote on us more IMO. We had to go inside and ask for checks.... you get the picture. Highly disappointed customer. Do better to match your other reviews. read more

Great, but don't get the gnocchi. I order the gnocchi and when the waiter brought it out, he told an amusing anecdote about how he ate 2 orders and that it sat in his stomach like concrete. Well, he should have shared that earlier. I suspect that this is not gnocchi at all, rather old pizza dough pounded flat, cut in squares, and boiled. Flavourless, dense, and gooey. read more

First time tonight based on previous stellar reviews. We found it to be decent but not great. When we first arrived, there was no one at the front to acknowledge us. We had made a reservation, which was intelligent based on the large crowd. It was quite noisy, making conversation difficult. The basic wooden chairs are uncomfortable after sitting for a long time. The service was very inconsistent. We didn't have to wait long to order or to get our salads. The wait for the entree, however, was almost 45 minutes with an apology but no explanation. The check, which has separate totals for cash and credit, came before we were completely finished eating. Vegetarians be warned, there are few options. The salad with the dinner entree is VERY small. Bread is available only upon request. Food was OK, but not stellar. The eggplant parmesan was OK, but we have had much better versions elsewhere. It was soft, haphazardly breaded, and on the bland side. The accompanying penne was also soft, and the marinara sauce needed to be much more robust. After waiting so long, the dish was warm but not hot enough. The chicken Romano was virtually swimming in wine sauce; unfortunately, the flavor was largely absent from this dish as well. The chicken cutlets were good, but again not superlative, and the pasta with onions had very little flavor. The ample amount of sun-dried tomatoes did help, but it was not enough to bring it to a higher level. Overall, a disappointing experience. read more

This place is a little hidden gem in a walmart parking lot corner. They have great lunch specials which are HUGE portions. I had the eggplant parm and it comes with a huge side of your choice of pasta and a nice Cesar salad. They also bring garlic knots to the table while you wait. Now the food... I had the eggplant parm which was thinly sliced eggplant which was lightly breaded. I did like the sauce as it was a tad bit tangy which was nice. It's more of a chunky sauce rather than typical marinara. Overall I will be back, just trying not to fall asleep after a large lunch is the struggle lol read more

This was my second visit to Georgina's. The first time was in late summer and I ate on the patio so I could enjoy the entertainment provided by a talented combo. This time was all about the food, with recommendations from the owner that were so good, I couldn't resist stuffing myself. Nonetheless, the portions are large enough that I carried home leftovers that I couldn't wait to dig into the next day. The menu is extensive, but the cavatelli with chicken and creamy pesto sauce and the corroza were so good that I can already predict a struggle next time selecting other items that are no doubt equally worthy. The antipasto salad could be a satisfying meal in itself, and the desserts are worth the extra calories (tiramiso is a must in my book). read more

Been coming here for a number of years. Service was disinterested and slow. I asked for garlic knots for which I got a yeah. No questions about size of order or if I wanted marinara. They showed up cool. Each meal came out slowly and separately. My mother in- law got a side salad that was plastic tasting. It was also musty. Her meal was delivered last and when it showed was splashed on my uncle with no apology. The pizza crust was hard and chewy. My spinach roll was yummy. Won't be back. read more
