I wasn't a big fan of the food here but the service made it better. The grits were super lumpy and so I just ate the seafood off the top of them, It's a cute restaurant but there are lots of other places to eat in Shem creek. It's a very large restaurant and during the week their happy hour lasts until 7. My friend also had a bourbon salmon pasta which was amazing. I regret not ordering that one. Lol

food was delicious! drinks were great and our server cody was top notch! i had some of the most delicious crab cakes i've had in quite awhile!!! the others had calamari, bourbon butter shrimp, caesar salad with chicken, shrimp n grits & green beans. all were very good. we sat outside and enjoyed the evening breeze, got a little chilly after some time, while watching the firework from i'm guessing the joe but could've been patriots pt if they do them. outside wasn't crowded so not sure about inside. it has been ages since i have been there but my daughter mentioned how much they enjoyed it so.... i will be back for more crab cakes and bourbon butter shrimp!!

After arriving in Charleston, we were hungry! My daughter was told by a friend that lives there that Vickery's has great people, great food, and a great view! All true!!! Kate took great care of us! We spent quite a bit of time on the deck enjoying the sunset and the breeze! Even though we stayed well past finishing our meal, Kate continued to take good care of us! My mom ordered a Hamburger. It arrived HOT and super juicy! My daughter ordered the Black N' Blue Hamburger. The Blue cheese was fresh and really made the burger great! I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy! I asked for an extra side of the sauce. I LOVE GOOD SAUCE! The shrimp was big and perfectly cooked so every bite had tons of flavor! We are so glad a local recommended Vickery's! Kate made it great, the food & view made it even better! Most Sincerely!

The service was definitely good. Just fyi, all of the parking spots have a parking Qr code but it is free for the first 3 hours when you go there and eat. Ambiance was definitely awesome cz you get to see the marsh and water view. It was perfect weather too. The food was honestly just ok but servings are big.

Not sure why overall rating is 3.3 stars as I have come to Vickery's as each time I come to visit Charleston & I always have a good time. Food is consistently good, the spot on Shem Creek is awesome and service is always friendly. Cool place to hang on a Sunday to have an adult beverage or two as the view is worth the price you pay to hang. Check it out you'll have a nice time!

Simply Fabulous Place! Terrific Staff, Great Crab Cakes! A Favorite Stop ... Even Did Take Out! Sandy Floor Tiki Bar...just Cool Place!

Our server Billy from USC gave us epic amazing service!!! Brought two of our besties for this first time...Cuban chicken bowl could not have been fresher and more flavorful! The jambalaya is loaded with fresh seafood and amazing ingredients... just enough heat to want more ... my all time fav is the appetizer crab cake with their corn relish ... a must stop! Walk off your wonderful meal as you look at boats and gorgeous scenery xoxo

Vickery's Bar & Grill Review | Mt. Pleasant, Sc 1313 Shrimp Boat Ln, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464 4.1 out of 5 stars Vickery's Bar & Grill delivers a solid coastal dining experience with a laid-back vibe that feels right at home along the canal. The setting is easily one of its strongest cards--water views, boats drifting by, and a relaxed Lowcountry atmosphere that instantly puts you in vacation mode (even if you're local). The menu is impressively broad, offering everything from burgers and salads to pasta dishes, so there's something for just about everyone at the table. Pair that with a tasty drink menu, and you've got a recipe for a very enjoyable meal. We hit it during the slow season, which meant zero wait time--a beautiful thing--and the staff was friendly and attentive without hovering. Atmosphere-wise, the outdoor setting shines, but the interior tells a slightly older story. The inside and bar area feel a bit dated, and the bar itself could use a little TLC--nothing alarming, just noticeable. Also, fair warning: if you're not a raw onion enthusiast, the salad onions come in hot and proud. Onion lovers will rejoice, everyone else might pick a few out. Bottom line: Vickery's is a great spot for good food, strong drinks, friendly service, and a canal-side view that does most of the heavy lifting. A little interior refresh would push it higher, but at 4.1 stars, it's absolutely worth a stop--especially on a sunny, no-wait kind of day. www.westayedthere.com @we_stayed_there

Rebecca was AMAZING! Sit in her section if you get the chance! They accommodated my every request! I even got a side of fried eggs with my shrimp, unloaded mashed potatoes, and broccoli! Yummy! Also, the views are so beautiful! Can't go wrong at Vickery's!

The perfect view from Vickery's outside bar. This is a blackened Grouper meal. Wonderful!

Had a beautiful table outside, overlooking Shem Creek. We ordered their fried green tomato appetizer and their fried shrimp dinner. Both dishes were absolutely perfect! We love it here!!!

4.5 stars My cousin used to work here back in the day so it was recommended by her. Sunset views are great and there's a boardwalk you can check out. Service was a little slow and food could've been slightly warmer, but the atmosphere is what made it what it was. We got the calamari appetizer ($13.95?). I got the mahi club (which I was told was the more popular of the two between the salmon BLT) and my dad got the shrimp basket for $22.95- no room for dessert here. 2024 #14

This was our first dinner experience in Charleston for this visit and WOW - YES please!!! The food - AMAZING! The staff - attentive and friendly The atmosphere - warm and relaxed We did go after dark and weren't quite sure where we were going so it was a little tough to find, but if you head back to the far back side of the parking lot you can find parking and the entrance. We went in the back porch way but eventually found our way to the hostess. I ordered the small Spinach Salad with Raspberry Vinegrette dressing and a cup of Black Bean Soup. It was really good. The soup was hot and super tasty. The salad wasn't really anything special, but it was exactly what I wanted. My companion ordered the Western Burger with fries and HOLY GOODNESS that was a beautiful burger. I stole a mouthwatering bite. It was so good! The patty was hanging over the bun on all sides and the sauce and juices were dripping. It was one of those burgers you don't want to stop eating even after you're beyond full. It was so good. 10/10 would recommend the burger and the soup! The waitress who served us was friendly and attentive - our glasses never went dry and she checked on us throughout our meal at respectable intervals. The only thing I would have give a 9/10 stars for was the lighting - it was a little dark. If you have trouble seeing in darker rooms, it would be tough to see the menu, but if you were looking for that vibe for a first date, it would be great.

Considering how tricky parking can be in this area, I knew we were off to a great start!  The meal certainly did not disappoint. We ordered the "Diver Scallops" and the "Grilled Swordfish," both of which were absolutely delicious. I opted for the 8 oz portion, and while the 4 oz might have sufficed, the larger serving truly hit the spot.  To complement the stunning creekside views, where boaters casually drifted by, we indulged in a cheesecake for dessert. It was the perfect finish to an already incredible dining experience.  I'm already looking forward to returning soon!

We sat inside late afternoon and loved the atmosphere. We started with the Pineapple Martini and the T&T Martini (olive oil washed vodka, vermouth & blue cheese stuffed olives). Everything was so flavorful that no extra salt or pepper was needed. The shrimp & grits had the perfect spicy kick -- seriously delicious. We skipped dessert, but the highlight afterward was spotting a dolphin swimming through the channel. Such a perfect ending to a really enjoyable meal. Definitely recommend! Shout out to the ladies at Trader Joe's for the recommendation.

Turning into this area, is seriously a hidden gem of Mt P. The scenery is beautiful, calm and homey. The building itself feels like you are walking onto someone's large porch of their fancy classic beach house. They are have views of the tennis courts, pool and other beautiful areas around it. Now the food, was awesome! I am very picky when it comes to fish, as I usually eat shrimp, crab, tilapia and that's it. But wow, it was refreshing to actually enjoy a different type of fish that wasn't slimy, or tasted fishy. The texture was just right and full of flavor. The hummus, oh yes tomato basil flavor perfectly complimented the fish. Seriously mouth watering. Now the bar, oh heavens yessss. I have no idea the name of the pink drink, but it was phenomenal! It wasn't weak, and wasn't to strong, which can be difficult when mixing with tequila. It was literally just right. Now onto entertainment, they have live music on top of live action tennis. Can it seriously get anymore southern. Love it! The performer was a 14 year old kid saving for college, but he was pretty dang good. Lastly, I loved the atmosphere as it was warm and welcoming. As the sun when down, they flipped on the twinkling lights above. Really made it feel like you where having a party on someone back porch. There's really no other way to do it when you're in Charleston! I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, it's definitely a hidden gem.

We had to try the Apple Pie shots since everyone seems to talk about them. This is way more complex than some apple flavor liquor. The ingredients take some prep work, and the result is something that literally tastes like apple pie. If they bottled this, I would definitely buy it. They have two specialty drinks, the Freshy and the Orange Crush, both of which are made with fresh squeezed juice squeezed right when you order. I had the Freshy which is orange or grapefruit juice with your favorite liquor. I chose grapefruit with vodka and even though I am not a huge fan of grapefruit the freshness and tartness of the drink made it quite enjoyable. My wife had the Orange Crush with Deep Eddy's O.J vodka, Triple Sec, Sprite and some of that fresh squeezed orange juice. It was nice and sweet which was good since we were ordering a lot of savory options. The Potato Skins arrived first and they were truly impressive. Good sized skins with the perfect amount of potato, not too thick or too dry and definitely homemade. They had mixed cheese, bacon and green onions served with sour cream also loaded with green onions. As far as all the potato skins I have had these were a standout. Next came the onion rings with an absolute massive serving for just eight dollars. You could tell they were homemade and served with a chili garlic sauce. The best part was the batter coating which was crispy yet didn't fall off when bent or bitten. They reheated nicely in the air fryer. Next, we tried the Toasted Raviolis which were filled with Italian sausage and served with a house made marinara. They were nice and crispy, but the true star was the marinara sauce which was thick and chunky with parmesan mixed all throughout. I wish they had more dishes that used this sauce as it was excellent. On the advice of some regulars, I tried the chicken fingers which were all breast meat, dill brined and hand battered. It was good advice since the chicken was juicy and tender with a flavorful coating. Sometimes it pays to ask. My wife ordered the thing they are known for their Philly Cheesesteak. She decided on double meat, and they were super generous to the point she looked at me and said, "I don't know how I am going to finish this!". This cheesesteak gets nominate for a lot of best of lists and I could see why. I liked that the cheese was mixed in with the meat and not just poured on top. She enjoyed it but said next time she will order it as is. This is a great place to hang out and relax and maybe catch a band or some bluegrass and enjoy a great meal!

All were perfectly prepared and ample sized. This wasn't a shrimp-and-chips drive-through; this was a meal. Our sides: Collards (this is the low country) and fried Brussel sprouts, again well prepared. Price: $38.25 and among the higher-priced items on the seafood-heavy menu but worth it. Others in our party, including two non seafood eaters, chose the pecan fried chicken (two breast with one each going home because of the size) with another going with the Carolina Duo of the chicken and short ribs. Will we return? Yes. There are other options we've yet to try as our visits to Charleston increase but this was a real treat. We walked in and the place was emptier than a church on a Wednesday night, yet somehow we were told to head on over to the bar, wait for a table, and go ahead and order ourselves a drink. Didn't make much sense, but we did as we were told. Then we stood there a good 10 minutes while the bartender, who let us know he's studying to be a dentist up in Spartanburg, was busy chatting away with another customer like we weren't even there. When he finally got around to us, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. But the real kicker came after we finally got our drinks. The manager came up, and I kid you not, told us we had to leave the restaurant and go out to the parking lot to finish them. No explanation, just attitude, and not a polite one either. To be honest, the manager seemed like she might have had a little too much Easter spirit, if you catch my drift. The whole interaction was downright combative and made us feel completely unwelcome. What really got me, though, was the poor hostesses and waitstaff. They apologized to us over and over and quietly let us know this kind of situation is something they deal with on a daily basis. We even heard her speaking sharply to another customer, which made it clear this wasn't just a one time issue. Honestly, the whole experience felt like a bad trip to the dentist and cost about the same as a root canal. All in all, it was a mess from start to finish, rude, confusing, and about as un Southern hospitality as you can get. I would think twice before going back, y'all.
