Came here primarily because we knew they're dog friendly. The food is ok standard bar food, nothing great but not awful either. The crab cake was a little mushy, and the Mac and cheese wasn't really Mac and cheesing. The curds were pretty good, as was the burger. Overall a fine place to grab a meal but I wouldn't go out of my way to get here, either.

The service was excellent as well as the atmosphere. It has a laid back vibe. The food was delicious! They even have a pup menu for your dog kids!

We had reservations for eight here on a Friday night with friends we don't see frequently. Unfortunately it was really hard to talk to them because we were seated outside right under a loud speaker. I ordered the pulled pork plate which was advertised as a lb of meat and two sides. Great, I thought, I'll have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Wrong. The platter had 1/3 lb meat at most. I got it with the smoky barbecue sauce and it was pretty good. Sweet potato fries and collards were very good. Just not the experience we had hoped for and definitely poor advertising. Also, parking is difficult in the area. Some free parking on the street but other lots charge $13-$30.

Delicious wings! Fast, friendly service. Fun ambiance. We got wings- sweet glaze (6) and lemon pepper dry rub (12). Definitely going back!

Open mic night Mondays are a great opportunity to check out this venue for great food, friendly staff, and an open air environment. Shanelee, Ava and Emma were all attentive making sure waters and drinks were filled. The buffalo chicken tacos and fried okra were excellent, with hand made pico by Momma. Check this place out if you get the opportunity.

Dog menu (had to ask), happy customer picture!

Very welcoming and dog friendly so that gets thumbs up. Food is decent not great but doesn't break the bank (any higher and we would reconsider). Very warm and cool setup in the bar restaurant. We havent had a parking issue.

Good brunch spot! Carafe of mimosas and coffee were excellent. The food was good. Very kind and easy going service. Vibe is very different from brunch to late night! Brunch for us was a hit!

STAY AWAY----STAY AWAY----STAY AWAY my wife and i stopped here for lunch.....she had a Caesar salad with chicken and i had Quesadilla with brisket meat. My meat was burnt and a lot of it was not chewable. She on the other hand made a bee line to the ladies room after the meal with cramps and diarrhea . The table we sat at had no finish and raw wood is not able to be sanitized. The floor facing the bar was dirty ,not sweeped even though it was mid day and very few customers. and the check...sales tax in mount pleasant is 9% with a 2% hospitality tax. (we had no alcohol..there fore no alcohol tax rate) This placed charged 15.5% sales tax.... There is no way i will ever come back; nor do i recommend anyone else to waste you money here... Disclaimer: the above is only my opinion which may be different from yours.

This was not a great experience at all. The waitress wasn't great, the food was salty, boiled peanuts was over priced for the amount you got. Brisket sandwich was tasty but very greasy. Asked for grilled buffalo shrimp got fried and they were so salty. There was no burgers available. And what do sad ''tis was at 3 o'clock so they weren't even busy

We were a large party in town for a family gathering so I was happy the Shelter said they would be able to seat 12 of us when I called ahead. Unfortunately just as we arrived the host inadvertently gave our table to another large group thinking it was us. This meant we did end up waiting a bit for a table, but glad it was only about 15 minutes - unfortunately this was out on their deck rather than inside and for whatever reason there was a really powerful and odious stench out there. Whenever the wind shifted it was pretty awful. It resulted in most of our table squeezing to one side of the table to get away from it. Food wise - we were mostly all really happy. Our table ordered an array of items and were impressed with almost all of it. For apps we had boiled peanuts, hush puppies, fried pickles and okra and wings. All of which were really good. For mains we had the brisket melt - just okay, the shrimp and grits - really good, bowl of bog - good but small, and many of us tried to order pulled pork but they were out of it :( Service was pretty slow going. It took a long time to get plates and silverware and napkins. Then drinks and refills and food came out but two of us waited at least 5 more minutes before food arrived. Overall I would suggest sitting inside for fear of the smells outside and I would say the food was good enough to outweigh the other issues we faced.

Yes! Boiled peanuts, salads, and if you ask them to make a sandwich wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. They'll work with you :)

Two bars located inside and out on the porch provide two different vibes. The al fresco option adds another way to enjoy. We chose to sit at the porch bar for a more casual vibe. Our bartender/server was great. He was friendly and professional, yet laid back. We shared two appetizers and loved them both. The Pimento Cheese & crackers had quite a zip to it. The Tuna Tostadas were excellent. Large and full of toppings made it a great choice. If I lived nearby, I would stop in often.

They also didn't have their HH menu updated online so there were things we wanted but couldn't get because it was a different menu. We ended up getting a couple dozen oysters, smoked fish dip and crispy tuna rice. Oysters were fresh and nicely chilled, tuna rice was well seasoned and the fish dip was ok, didn't have any smoky flavor or element to it and lacked in flavor. We ended up moving back down with our friends who had dogs so they ordered from the regular menu. The server was very accommodating and friendly. My friend got the burnt ends Mac n cheese and that was delicious! The place itself was huge and I could see it being a great spot for private events. Overall we had a good time.

On his suggestion, I ordered the Steak Chimichurri Taco and The Hangover. Each was distinctive enough to deserve its own mention. The steak in the Steak Chimichurri Taco was exceptionally tender and full of flavor. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the toppings complemented the beef rather than competing with it. The goat cheese was just assertive enough to stand out without overpowering the other ingredients, creating a layered, well-balanced bite that kept me coming back for another. The Hangover was equally memorable--and completely unexpected. Had I actually read the menu instead of putting my trust in Michael, I probably wouldn't have been quite as surprised. Fortunately, I did, because his recommendation was spot on. Once again, I was treated to a wonderful balance of flavors and textures. And there's something undeniably satisfying about seeing a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg crowning a taco. FOOD - 10:10 Michael struck exactly the right balance between being attentive and giving me space to enjoy my meal. He knew the menu well, answered my questions confidently, and his recommendations couldn't have been better. SERVICE - 10:10 The atmosphere was every bit as enjoyable as the food. The music was at the perfect volume, the playlist fit the space well, and the lighting was bright enough to feel welcoming without being harsh. It's the kind of place where you could comfortably have a business lunch just as easily as a date night. AMBIANCE - 10:10 Will I be back? Absolutely. If you haven't been here yet, I'd suggest making this your next excuse to treat yourself. Bon appétit.
