S/O and I shared the vegan combo and dereq tibs, a pitcher of their infused water, an Ethiopian cream coffee, and a glass of palm tree (their arnold palmer). The food was fantastic. I loved every bite we had, especially the gomen (braised greens), cabbage and carrot, and the kik alicha. The dereq tibs, though? That was AMAZING. Tender beef, sweet stewed onion, the perfect amount of spice from the serranos. I loved that the dish is accompanied by senafich (a spicy, horseradish-y mustard) and mitmita (a DELICIOUS chili powder that I want to put on everything lol). The beverages were delicious, I love an arnold palmer and this one is probably the best i've ever had with their spiced tea. Their coffee was decadent and strong and perfectly balanced. And the banana split! I am not usually one for dessert but I knew I needed to try this and I'm SO glad I did. A symphony of textures and complex flavors. We may or may not have used our fingers to get the last bits from the dish. The place itself is like a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of the strip mall outside. Vibey music, beautiful furniture and decor, and all attention paid to the little details. Can't wait for them to reopen so we can come back!! Parking - strip mall was crowded, but street parking wasn't too bad to find.

There are multiple rooms with low to the ground couches and lots of pillows. You start with a hand wash and are then handed a bath towel as your napkin. This begins a very unique dining experience. The food is Tunisian. and absolutely outstanding. Most of the meal is eaten with fingers and a special bread. There are unusual salads with wonderful unexpected flavors. There is brik, a hard-shelled potato with egg that is so good. A pastry filled with chicken and cinnamon is just wonderful. We had as our main course a mouth-watering chicken with almond that just falls off the bone it is so tender and juicy. Dessert is baklava or an almond cake and mint and honey tea that is poured 3 feet above a tiny glass and never a dropped missed. There are a variety of set menus that the whole table needs to agree upon. But you can order some extras if there is something you really want from one of their menu choices. I am not a meat-eater, but others in the party were, so we ordered extra beef brochettes. There is no way to eat everything that is brought although you wish you could. The good thing is you can take leftovers home and enjoy the meal a second night. There is lovely belly dancing to enhance the evening. The service is good and you do not feel rushed. The prices are incredible. Amazing value for the food you are receiving. I don't think they have raised their prices in years. The restaurant is on Sunset at Gower, but very hard to see from Sunset. Just east of Gower is a small driveway you need to go in to see the Moun of Tunis

The food is really good. They have a salad which is portioned with minced carrots and rose water. As strange as that sounds, it was very unique and amazing. The population here can be hit or miss. But if you go and your the only ones there do not be alarmed, you will have a good time. Great place to have big celebrations.
