I've been going there for 40 yrs. or so and I trust that they will do a good job for a reasonable price.

Stay away! They ended up charging me 3X their original quote. Very poor customer service. The car was not ready when promised.

It could not be fixed at that shop but they referred me to the Lake Oswego Jiffy Lube, where it could be replaced. I called the LO store and the manager, Eric, reassured me that they could get it repaired the following evening (it was closing time when I called). I was on pins and needles for 24 hours, afraid it would snap and I would be stranded on the side of the road at any moment - but that following evening, Eric got the belt ordered and replaced in less than an hour. He also changed out the headlight, which the guy at the other Jiffy Lube could not reach. I can't tell you how relieved I am to be all fixed and everything was taken care so quickly, and for much less than what the dealership would charge! I am very grateful to Eric and his staff, for the great customer service! I am also relieved to know now that that do all kinds of services and not just oil changes. Great customer service is rare & so is affordability - these days - so I am very happy to now have a shop nearby that I can go to for future oil changes and issues with my car!

I had an online quote for $129.95 for full synthetic 5 qts (the only option available for this car) plus a $26 coupon so the service should have been $103.95. When I arrived for the service I was told it would cost $225, not $103.95. They were upcharging $120 for something they called European Synthetic. I asked what the difference was American Synthetic and European Synthetic and they couldn't answer. Mind you 5 qts of Liquid Moly Costs $49 at Autozone. And normal Castrol, Mobil etc costs about $40 for 5 quarts. This is for Eurospec 0 W 20 or 0W 40 oil. So they are free wheeling and making up shite to any customer who has a European car to make an extra $120 every oil change. It's cheaper to go to the Audi dealer. If you have a European car, do not bring your car or SUV here. They are predatory thiefs.

Good Year really took care of me this past year as I unknowingly bought a used car from Car Max…read morewith a lot of issues. First off, if you have ever worked with Car Max, good luck getting a hold of someone by phone or finding an appointment. This is why I chose to work with Good Year, as they partner with Car Max and are able to process the Car Max coverage we bought into. My issues with my car began with water in my tail lights. While taking a look at the car they discovered extensive corrosion which was not disclosed by Car Max. I was also in a pinch for time as I was rushing to get my car fixed prior to my 90 day warrantee expiring. Good Year, specifically Jeff who is the service manager, really did his part to communicate with Car Max and advise me along the way. I was able to use my coverage to fix an electronic problem related to water damage and was not charged any money out of pocket. 6 months later more issues arose with the car and I returned to Good Year. They discovered more corrosion in the rear of the car and gave me some sage advice. They did a work up to find issues with alignment, tires, etc. but did not find any. Again, I was not charged any fees. I felt that I could really trust the input of Good Year and the staff there. My husband is handy, but not necessarily adept in mechanics. My dad also lives out of state, so I really had to rely on the input from people I did not know personally know. The staff at Good Year are knowable, they identified issues with my car just by verbally describing symptoms. I was never up sold or felt like I was pressured into buying anything. And they listened to my concerns and were transparent in their advice. I was able to sell my car to a dealership and receive an offer for more than what we paid for it. Problem solved. I am surprised to see some negative reviews, but I suppose most people with great experiences getting their car worked on, aren't rushing to write a yelp review. If you need car advice, or suspect there are issues with you car, take it here and speak with Jeff and his team!

I set the appt. and brought the car in and they wanted to upcharge $110 in add'l oil fees for using something they called European oil. Their justification is criminal considering that the price difference between 0W 20 OEM spec Liquid Moly is only $5 for 5 quarts vs Mobil 1 Eurospec 0W 20 and $10 vs Mobil 1 American spec. ($49.95 vs 44.95 for 5 quarts). No one with a European make should be bringing their car in for service to this place regardless of whether it's convenient to get to if you live nearby. I can understand a $5 or $10 upcharge but $110??? Stay away from this place.

I also added a comprehensive exam (which they offered at a discounted rate) for them to look at my car as a whole and to let me know what things might need repair now and in the near future. They were able to see my car within a week of me reaching out for an appt, and they only kept my car for ~5 hours. They tried everything they could to find the source of my leak, but when they couldn't, they referred me to Liberty Water Leak, who was fantastic and found the sources of my leak and water damage within a few hours. With the comprehensive exam, they listed each item that needed repair and were not pushy AT ALL. They also answered all of my questions, yes... even the dumb ones. There was an oversight where my wiper cowlings were not installed correctly, so I did leave an honest review on SureCritic saying that I wasn't sure if I'd trust them with further repairs due to that mistake. Within a week of posting that review, the shop called me to apologize and discuss what happened. On top of that, they refunded me my entire bill. I understand now why Tom Dwyer Auto has such good reviews-- They genuinely care about their customers and producing quality work. I am grateful to have been treated with respect, not taken advantage of as a female, and for their determination to correct the mistakes made. Thank you again!

Quick-lube places seem to always make some kind of mistake, but Valvoline seems to make the fewest. I've consistently received great service at the SE Powell location, which used to be convenient as I worked close by. Now it's the only Valvoline I trust, but it's across town. This review is of the Tualatin location on Nyberg 10/28/23. My pet peeve: when I get my oil changed and the person who checks my tire pressure forgets to put the valve cap back on. I SPECIFICALLY BROUGHT THIS TO THE LEAD TECHNICIAN'S ATTENTION. I told him that I didn't want to be petty, but I hate when I get my oil changed and the service tech forgets to put my valve caps back on. They weren't fancy or expensive, but they were a stocking stuffer gift from my son last Christmas. I asked that they made sure to replace the caps. I know he heard me, because he said he'd added that detail to my customer profile so that I'd never have to ask again, and he shouted to the guy checking the air pressure MAKE SURE THE VALVE CAPS GET PUT BACK ON. The service tech said "Gotcha! I'll make sure!" So imagine my surprise/disgust/anger/disappointment when I get home, park, get out of my truck and notice that I only have THREE valve caps. C'mon Valvoline. The techs were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. No hard upsell, asked all the right questions. I want to be a Valvoline fan and customer, but this makes it difficult. I know it's such a small detail, but right now I am SO pissed. There's no excuse for this. I specifically and directly addressed this, and it still got still messed it up. *sigh*
