Driving through the plaza and my Spidey senses were tingling as I passed by this big sign that said Bakery so I abruptly turned in and parked. A Cuban style bakery with all the major latino food groups. The posted menu was huge but did not provide prices. The beef empanadas were small and priced fairly at $2.00 each. The crust was thick with a tough texture which softened up in the complimentary dipping sauce, which did not overpower the moist beef's flavor. Next time I will ask them to heat up the empanada. Met Victor and his wife who were very chatty and friendly. Almost the 5pm closing time, which reinforces the fact that this bakery is a breakfast/late lunch eatery. No customer bathroom in view, only a door that says Employees Only. read more

I decided to stop in Victors Bakery . I have never been here and wanted a coffee so I decided to go. It was a quick stop- I got a latte and a cookie. The price was right, the latte perfectly made and the cookie was tasty. The ambiance was nice, the kind of decor that you'd expect in a quaint little cafe. The store was clean and there were a few people sitting at tables. They had a nice selection of Latin pastries. The employee greeted me and told me she'd be right with me. The service was quick and although she told me she'd speaks a little English, she understood what I wanted perfectly. I'm definitely going to return! read more

This place has declined in service and food. I ordered their breakfast egg, fries, bacon with toast. Instead they gave me cranked eggs with ham, which I specifically told them I didn't want. I should've known to check it when they handed me the food in less than 5 mins after ordering. When I called, and explained the mistake on my breakfast order. One of the two women in the front (not the one that took the order) who answered the phone told me that it was given to me that way bc I did not specify what I wanted. After I told her I had she just kept arguing with me and would not put the girl who took my order on the phone. Finally she said "well if you come back we'll give you your bacon". Never coming back to this establishment. Oh and by the way it was $16-$17. You're way better off going to Sedanos. read more

First timer here. Very cute place when you walk in. Though it's a more Cuban style cuisine, the decorations are more modern American. We came in on a Saturday morning. Not to busy. Found a table no problem. We ordered from the breakfast menu. I had the body builder and the wife had the basic. Food was on par with something we make at home, but didn't impress us enough to come back for the same dish. The steak was a bit over cooked but I could tell the flavors where still present. It I was ordering jerky, this would have been great! My wife enjoyed the scrambled ham and eggs but she did have to add a bit of salt and pepper to it to get the profile she wanted. The coffee!!! 5 Stars!!!! While we sat and ate, traffic in the bakery was good. People coming in for coffees and pastries. They were being served fast and they seemed to have left happy. We will come back and try the various pastries out as they look deliciously stunning, but won't be back for the breakfast unless I'm in the immediate area. read more

I came to this bakery, drawn by the initial reviews i saw from the previous bakery. When I looked up the directions on Google I did see that the location was closed. So I called to make sure what was the deal. A friendly lady picked up and told me they were open. I the. Proceded to ask about their cakes etc. When I got there again, the staff was very friendly. Though I was disappointed in the presentation of their sweets/pastries... That's when I realized that I was not in the old bakery thy had great reviews. But, by then it was too late and considering how friendly they were I figured let's give them a chance. Well, I got a small vanilla cake which was nicely moistured and tasted great. So did the small 4th of July cupcakes I got. The only thing is I was expecting a prettier presentation for the 4th of July cupcakes. Which was the next day. What we ordered- Cafe con leche, The Works, El Americano and an assortment of pastelitos and of course dessert! Cuatro Leches! Yummy! When you go to a bakery you should expect three things; good pastries with good filling, good cafe con leche, and fast service. Victors gives you all three and add their delicious empanadas! My go to bakery in West Pines. Unlike others I love the Hispanic influence of Victor's Bakery. Authentic Guava, Cream Cheese, Meat, Coconut and don't forget the Croquettes!!! A vast variety of different type of pastries, including Pizza Pastel ( My Favorite ) and Nutella. The location is small, but has a seating area for you to enjoy your sweets. They also serve light breakfast like eggs, toast and bacon, sausage and other breakfast favorites. They also make traditional cakes and other Hispanic cakes as well. My favorites for breakfast are there house croquettes, which are bigger and made with smoked ham. I order Cuban Bread, a must! I've been coming here since before it changed name/ ownership when it was called El Brazo Fuerte Bakery. The quality and service has not changed at all, still awesome! Their pan con tortilla is the best I've had, something about the bread is special here. The ladies are very friendly and attentive, always making sure your coffee is made just how you like it. I say that to emphasize the point that nothing is perfect. Victor's Bakery is one of them. They are a solid 3.5. The food is okay nothing special nothing mind blowing. Nothing that will separate it from any other breakfast spot. I ordered the The Body Builder and Baked Chicken Empanadas. Listen the food was decent. Was not bad at all but there was nothing good enough that will make me want to come back. If you are looking for something quick and simple. Then this place would be good. However, I've had better breakfast food elsewhere which a lot more flavor. My experience was just OKAY. I mean I have nothing exciting to write. I don't know what it is but the pastelitos here are one of a kind. They are crispy and flaky on the outside, and as you bite into one you suddenly realize the simple yet powerful flavor of the inside that perfectly compliments the texture and subtle taste of the outside - simply perfection. Let me not even get started on the steak sandwich - I was left wanting more. The portion was perfect enough to substitute a meal. The meat was tender and flavorful. I just HAD to meet the baker in charge, Victor, and he explained how he's been doing this for over 30 years and it all made sense. I was a loyal customer of this bakery before the new ownership. El Brazo Fuerte (what it was before Victor's) was excellent! Food was always fresh and delicious, tostadas were soft and buttery, and the Pastelito's were fluffy and perfect. I've now had it again at least 6+ times after the new owners took over and the food quality is just awful now. I kept giving it the benefit of the doubt but that's it. My eggs are never as good and super bland, the bread is always hard, and nothing seems to be the same. I guess I'll have to find a new bakery nearby :( read more

Just had the best chicken empanada I have every eaten as well as the coconut pastry! So delicious!!' Fresh, soft and yummy!

The pastries are all puff with little filling. When you finally get to the filling, the flavors are good. The croquettes are excellent. My recommendation is to keep the ratio of puff pastry to the filling more equal. I am going ti give the sandwiches another try before I post a review. read more
