While I occasionally buy other things in Soma, they are my exclusive sleepwear store...full stop! Their sleepwear is so super soft, you feel like you are lying on a cloud of cotton candy. I combed the sales rack and score! I found short pajamas on sale. It was a two-fer!!! Interestingly, they had little stars on them. How appropriate for New Year's Eve. The pajamas were regularly price at $49 but was on sale for $14...yay! I hit the pajamas jack pot! My pajamas were quickly rang up and I sent an email receipt along with given a hard copy receipt.

I took time out of my day to drive up to the mall and possibly exchange it (I also had my receipt). I get in there and I'm given this canned response of how the return policy is 60 days blah blah. I explain again, happy to exchange for a new one, blah blah. The "manager" Devin/Devon came out and regurgitated the same canned response then proceeded to unbox more bras and ignore the situation. She didn't even help the salesperson much when she was asked questions for clarity. So basically I was told to send my bra to corporate so they can decide. Seriously??? I'm not going to do that - if I'm paying $60 for a bra it shouldn't be falling apart after 4 months! I've since emailed corporate and guess what ~ SAME canned response! "Our return policy is 60 days, blah blah blah..." I will not be buying another bra from Soma. Ever.

Ann, Janette, and Rocky completely changed the experience for me. They made me feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely taken care of. Shopping there didn't feel like a chore -- they turned it into an experience, full of laughter and good energy. They truly made every visit feel like an adventure. Because of them, I kept coming back. I even visited another Gap location just to compare -- and it didn't even come close. This isn't just the best Gap I've been to. The idea of the store is that it's a store operating within a store. They also have some stand-alone locations. Similar to Nordstrom Rack if you will. They offer merchandise that you would normally find at Macy's from housewares to clothing but with pricing more like TJ Maxx or Marshall's. This location had a lot of items that I wanted and I was able to spend a fraction of the price. I actually bought a couple of things that were also still available in "regular" Macy's but for much less. The inventory changes often so there will most likely always be something different each visit. The sales staff were nice and helpful. If you're a bargain shopper like me, don't pass up Backstage.

Be weary of the prices - even though it may seem to best best or lowest price I like to check google for validation. Overall I spent a lot of time browsing but only came out with a couple of items. But I think it is a great option for your essentials, and it is always busy here too.

I even bought Christmas presents because they were marked down so much and I like to buy Christmas presents throughout the year so that I don't have to fork out a lot of money in December.
