I rushed in, dreaming of wearing that gorgeous number under clothes. And/or, the eventual unveiling . . . However, disappointment. They do not carry my (classified) bra size. In anything. Fie. Clearly the models with the great racks do not get their bras at VS. Go to Intimacy in the Bloomingdales building instead for REAL high end lingerie, not cheap, shoddily made crap. read more

I came in for a simple return as I had purchased a pair of workout pants in a size too big online. Almost an hour later, I ended having to pay for the new pants and was told that it was due to "computer problems". I also had to pay with an actual credit card because my VSC card also didn't work for same "computer problems". How computer problems translates to screwing the customer over and acting like her concerns mean nothing is absolutely beyond me. I'm done shopping with Victoria's Secret. It used to be VSC was the only game in town for lingerie. Now there's tons of options and a smart person doesn't deal with rude and ridiculous corporate policies. "Yay! I'm a fan" of these bras. For some reason, they always fit me really well and are also well-made, which never hurts when you're paying for higher end, uh, undergarments. This store has been recently renovated (I'm not exactly sure when it happened) and is so much nicer than it was before. Larger, more items and more lines (such as Swim, Supermodel Essentials, VSX) available, most likely due to the face there is now a free standing Pink store on the next floor so they have more room for the other merchandise. I stop in here as they always seem to have cute VS Chicago attire here. Sales associates are much friendly and more knowledgeable than before. During my last visit, the associate knew where Milwaukee was. That was a vast improvement (see previous review). I'd say they are probably in fair competition with the Victoria's Secret a block north after the renovation. However, I still prefer the store at 734 N Michigan Ave, due to the sheer size, layout, and décor. read more

Stopped by Sunday evening not realizing that this location closes at 6:00pm it was a few minutes before 6:00pm. I was just taking a quick look at the underwear table and was told by an associate that that she would grab whatever I needed and that the table had just been cleaned "just showing respect for my coworkers" it would have been great if she could have just told me the store was closing in a few minutes rather than following me around the table asking for my size. I work in retail and making your customer feel uncomfortable is never ok. That employee needs to realize a more honest approach like: we are closing in a few minutes, but I can help you grab whatever you need works just fine. read more

I am not a big fan of Victoria's Secret, and something about this locale makes me even like the company less. It just feels like the staff stares at you constantly and it feels just a tad unsettling. One of the times I was in here I swear they approached me and my SO three times within a ten minute time span, and then when we did ask for help, were given a short but not sweet answer that really was no help at all. I admit that they have a lot cute things and that their thongs are really comfortable, but I am a BBW, which makes it super hard to shop here. Especially when it comes to bras...i can never seem to find anything over a C cup and when I do find a D cup they don't have the right measurement, which is annoying as hell. so here's the deal. I work right by Water Tower and I was looking to get a whole new undergarment wardrobe as I suspected I was wearing the wrong bra size and much of my underwear was old and needed replacing. I decided to avoid the Michigan Avenue store as I figured it'd be more crowded, and headed into the Water Tower while VS was giving away free duffel bags with a $75 purchase. I knew this would be easy as I was going to buy at least 4 bras and several panty sets. I walked in and was immediately helped by a lady at the front. I told her I wanted a strapless bra that i could wear with low-cut tops. She showed me two, one of which didn't fit my description at all, but I tried both on anyway. While in the dressing room, I was measured and lo and behold, I was wearing a larger size. A wonderful sales lady brought me several types of bras in my size that I might like so I tried on several and picked the ones i liked best. I was then guided to another wonderful lady who found the bras on the floor so I could pick colors and styles. That was good all around and I had no complaints. Finding matching underwear seemed harder. The bras and some matching underwear sets were not together so I felt I was wandering around and not getting anywhere. This means VS lost a star here. After a got what I wanted I proceeded to the checkout which had two women both busy with customers. There's no indication of where to stand in line so i just milled about until someone was free. The lady who rang me said hi once and then didn't talk for the rest of the transaction. After I just spent $300 in your store, I expect at least some better customer service like I received on the floor. Now...I've been a cashier before and retail blows, let me tell you. But no matter how many stupid people ruined my day, i was always pleasant with the next customer, because it's just good business practice. I didn't get that here. She told me I got a free bag, shoved it in with the rest of my stuff, and then threw my receipt on top as well. No thank you. No come back soon. She then went off to talk with the other cashier. This is the other star. It pissed me off for some reason that i just spent good time and money here and I get excellent service in sales, but that all goes away when i checked out. I avoid Water Tower Place like the plague, but needed several different clothing items and didn't want to traipse up and down Michigan Ave in the rain. Thus, I found myself in one of Chicago's most notorious tourist traps, made no better by the freakin' American Clones store. What IS it with this mall? I decided, being 30, that it was time for me to get a bra and some underwear that actually matched. I tried the lingerie section in Macy's and wasn't even spoken to by the three saleswomen on the floor. On to Victoria's Secret. The salespeople jumped on me immediately. At first, I thought this was going to turn into one of those awkward situations where I had to choose which one of them to give the sale to. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the team approach. Girl A asked me what I was looking for. I told her that I needed a big-girl bra. She then asked what level of padding I like, etc. After she got an idea of what I wanted (i.e. something to mold my perfectly-sized girls into perky perfectly-sized girls), she introduced me to Girl B, who would be assisting me with my fitting. I swear, this woman brought me everything. And they were all perfect. That fitting made me love my boobs again. Girl B took me back to Girl A and told her what bra I liked and what size I was. Girl A then showed my my color options. Easy as pie. I think what I really liked the most, besides my beautiful new bra, was the way the team worked together. I found it to be a low-pressure situation, I felt comfortable, and didn't feel rushed. Brava, ladies. I, and my girls, thank you! One star knocked off because I hate having to walk through that God-awful "Pink" section to get to the rest of the bras. So you won me back Victoria's Secret. The whole vibe of this place has changed. They have little cards on the dressing room doors that they write your name and size on. The lady that helped me was super nice and helpful, kept referring to me by name, and knew her stuff. She even went into the back and scoured the place for my color and size. I was impressed that they had a much better selection of 32 Cs than they used to. They have a great selection of backless bra options...all with sticky sides or sticky cups, but it's great to have options in the $50 range (ironically double what I paid for my Forever 21 dress) I ended up with a bra I needed and a bra I didn't need. Better yet? They were giving away sexy pagoda style pink and white umbrellas. I got super cute full size umbrella free with my $60 purchase. Yay! read more

There is all kinds of sales promotions going on all the time and in Water Tower, you can't go wrong with the location. The store is nice and I was impressed by their vast selection of items, but as mentioned in other reviews the sales people here are extremely pushy. I came here with my mom for Mothers Day shopping and within 30 seconds, two separate sales girls had given us their spiel about the Body by Victoria being on sale. I immediately went to that section and found my bras, only to be asked by another sales girl if I needed a fitting room, to be sized, etc. I told her no thank you and she asked my bra size - if I already said I didn't need to be fitted, why would she need to know that? Then she tried to sell me on their strapless; I told her I already have 3 and didn't need another. Cut to the sports bras section where I was bombarded by a sales girl who immediately recommended their most expensive line, which have underwire in them for extra support. I told her I did not want a sports bra with an underwire and drifted away to the selections I was actually interested in. Another sales girl approached and said, "You don't want an underwire?" FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE! I think next time I'll brave the crowds at their flagship store; at least there it will hopefully be too busy for the sales people to bother me. read more

I love this vicky whispers location....not because of the stupid body scanner that tells you exactly what kind of bra you need, but because they have everything here and the sales people are helpful but not pushy, up in your biz-nach. Very friendly staff here who don't hover and ask you a million times if they can help you. I'm usually a semi annual shopper but I stopped in with a gift card and got a pair of some unmentionables :D and my friend got a nice perfume gift set for her mother in law. At 23 my boobs have grown {yeah, I don't get it but I think it might have something to do with switching to eating non-organic chicken but that's just me}. I had been to countless other places in search of a new bra that fit because my boyfriend could even tell I needed a new one. I was greeted when I walked in by a sweet girl. She pulled out a card and asked me what I was looking for, checking off my preferences and then measured me. Apparently, I was "in between a B and C cup", but I honestly think she wasn't accounting for the fact that the current bra I had on was all wrong and made me seem bigger than I actually am. I was thankful I didn't have to hunt someone down and ask them to measure me. Staff in there seemed a little off-putting, but I don't have much evidence that they actually were. In the fitting rooms, I was greeted by a woman named Diana who seemed to be working the fitting rooms alone, but was doing a good job of it. I liked that there were other bras to try on up there as well seeing as how I didn't really know what I wanted to get for a bra. I rarely go bra shopping, so it's nice to have people who make it a little less confusing. So my bra size, 32B ended up being wrong. {Not that I blame the sales associate downstairs. I'm the one wearing a jacked up bra!} Diana came to check on me and was very helpful about assisting me about the way that the bra should fit {in my case, 32A was perfect.} I felt like I was being annoying, but she came to my assistance at least twice after I was in the fitting rooms. It turns out that yes, I am bigger than before even though I walked out with a bra the same size. But it fits very well and for the first time in my life, I have a bra that gives me cleavage! I believe it was well worth it and I view the price I paid as partially paying for the help I was given at this store yesterday so I don't feel remorseful about the purchase at all. I have grown to like this location. I walked in the store on March 4th in the afternoon and was greeted by a number of sales associates; it was a little overwhelming, but looking back, they probably all realized I needed help.... I thought I knew what I needed, alas I quickly figured out I had no clue, so I asked for assistance. The lady said I needed a B cup. I laughed and told her all my 'chest' was padding.... basically she helped me find an A bra to try on and the girl in the dressing room also said I needed a B cup... I told her I did not .... come to find out I have been wearing my bra incorrectly for XX years. Turns out I CAN have cleavage and my mosquito bites aren't such! Thanks VS ladies! I am repeating this review on yelp to let you know how angry this makes me. I've seen friends and family not be able to purchase things from this store because of their body type. What makes it worse is that these sales associates make these people feel bad about themselves! My sister went into the store not planning on buying a bra. She does not like their bras. A "bra fitting specialist" asked if she wanted to be fitted but my sister declined. She asked again, my sister said no again. She asked a third time, my sister said no a third time. The woman then claims shes a bra fitting specialist and announces loudly the size she thinks. My sister said she didn't care who she was and to please leave her alone. The woman has the audacity to ask to size her a fifth time!! My sister had to leave the store. That was harassment. If someone says no twice DO NOT PUSH THEM! The worst part this person was a manager. This experience alone has made me decide that I will not shop at Victoria's Secret anymore. What terrible sales associate!! read more

The staff at this particular store needs some serious retraining on proper customer service. Not sure if the appeal of a commission is what drives the employees here but they are certainly over doing it and having the reverse effect of sending potential buyers running out the door. I walked in an empty store on a Saturday afternoon, probably already a sign and was right away greeted by an employee asking me if I knew my bra size and if I needed any help with anything. I politely said I didn't need any help at the moment and I was going to browse around first and I started to walk in the store. Literally 1 step later a second employee started all over again and asked me the same questions. Again I repeated myself and walked away. A third employee then proceeded again with the same questions. All of that happened within less than 5 minutes of me walking into the store. I'm sorry but at this point this is not customer service, this is harassment.
