Victor has always been able to diagnose and repair my vehicle without giving me a run around price or give me the whole " I need to repair this in order to do this" blah blah blah. If something is wrong and if he can repair himself he'll do so at a VERY reasonable price and tell you up front. If he can't he will recommend you to someone who does that's just as good as him and his staff. Once I went to Evans Tires for brakes, HUGE MISTAKE they wanted 1500 for new brakes and they were trying to get me financed so I left and went to Victors and saved a little over 1,100 and received quality work. What's up San Diego, I have a 2003 Mercedes Benz E500. It had a problem with the rear rotors being worn and squealing , the dealer wanted around $629 to do the rear brakes , I laughed and left. So I purchased the rotors and ceramic brakes from an auto parts store and took it to Victors......BAM ....done $120.......sweet !!! I highly recommend going to Victor's Auto Shop for any car issues or just for regular maintenance. Victor knows everything about cars and he truly cares about helping people. The times I've been there Victor has looked at my car immediately and if there was a job that required a lot of time he would let me know to bring it back the next day. For smaller issues, he would fix it right away. Victor likes to hear what the problem is in its entirety and then he will inspect it and take it for a drive if he can't see the issue. His prices are the lowest I've found and he always does a great job. What I like most about this place is that Victor never tries to rip you off. I've been to many other auto shops where they try to get me to pay for services without even looking at my car and without any explanation of why I need those services. I always suggest for people to get quotes elsewhere and then to get a quote from Victor and compare the prices. I'm sure Victor's prices will always be lowest. To keep costs low, I've always purchased parts I need from AutoZone and brought it to him and he has no problem with that. It's confusing to find this shop at first but he's across the street from Filippi's Pizza and right behind a car dealership. Victor is honest and very reasonable. I have been going to see him anytime I have had issues with my family's cars. Recently he quoted me $600 to fix gas pump on my Tundra. After 1 1/2 days with vehicle though he found that it was not the pump but the electrical componenents connected to that. At other mechanic shops tnis would not have been revealed. Instead of a $600 job it came out to $240 for parts and labor included. Wow. Shop is hard to find but worth it. read more

The work was done well, but they ripped us off. First they charged us for parts that we brung them. They even charged us for coolant that we brought, they said they were charging for using their coolant. The big thing that made me mad was they stole the gas from are gas tank. We had a full tank and when we got it back, it had a 1/4 tank and they were saying we must of not been paying attention. They denied taking the fuel. Then they broke are radiator and replaced are brand new thermostat with a broken one. Will never bring it to them again. read more

I brought my truck that was making a loud clicking noise from the engine whenever I drove the vehicle. They charged $60.00 to look at and had the truck for about 3 hours. They said they separated the engine from the transmission and couldn't figure it out. They said that it was possible that I needed to take the engine apart. The problem ended up being a bad starter. I was recommended by a friend to go to this place. My other mechanics in point loma were ripping me off. My kia optima broke down and I was told apx. $3000 by the point loma shop. I had my car towed to victors. The total came to $420. All that was wrong was the alternator belt was worn and slipped off the pully and broke the crankshaft sensor. As far as I'm concerned the BEST auto shop in SD!!! Came in with all the parts needed to flush my radiator on my 98 Mustang GT. Had my upper/lower hoses, belt, thermostat and coolant sensor replaced all for only $120, such a great deal. He said it would take 2 hours and exactly 2 hrs later he had it done and even picked me up from Best Buy so i didn't have to walk back. I live in El Cajon and could not find a good place with decent prices, saw Victor's on yelp and decided to make the trip, so happy I did too. I'm done going to other places. Thank You Victor.
