Andre was totally awesome helping me with an inspection of a car I was looking to buy. Super welcoming and an honest guy.

Well truck died at 711! Wouldn't start. Opened hood looked around had no idea what it could be. Was in a hurry like we always are. This guy walked over and asked if I could use a hand? I said yes he looked and walk away? The check engine light was on.. He came back with this thing plugged it in and said my relay was bad. I said how much after I realized he was a mechanic! Hahaha. His shop is right next door to 711. Now I notice. He fixed it in like 1 hour. The price was really perfect! Totally a 1 and a million type of person! Ask for Andrea!!!!! Very nice man! I can't explain how great this shop is. I have been around cars and mechanics for a very long time and I was blown away at how honest and transparent Andres and Jorge are. I'm from LA and was in Chula Vista when my car's water pump gave out. Thankfully I was really close to them this shop and went there based on the reviews and it was definitely worth it. It was a Saturday and I showed up very last minute. They could have easily turned me away and enjoyed their weekend, but they saw that I was in a tough spot and said they would jump on my car to try getting me home. Firstly, I couldn't believe they were going to try getting it done for me based on the time but they called in the parts and had them delivered immediately. and the price was beyond fair. I couldn't believe how reasonable to price was. Based on my other mechanics I was expecting it to be at least a couple hundred dollars more but he really just charged me for the parts and the super quick repair. Also, he made sure I knew what the issue was and pointed out things that could be a bigger issue before getting started with the repair. He didn't want to start on it and give me surprise issues. I knew exactly what he was talking about and he was not bs'ing me so I gladly agreed. There was one other surprise that we didn't expect, another broken piece. That part can only be ordered from a dealer so it meant I would have had to wait until tuesday to get the car back. They showed it to me and let me know what was going on, but they thought they could repair it on the spot and decided to go for it. They repaired it and didn't have to charge for a whole new part and kept the repair going and finished it as we hoped for. Really, truly honest mechanics and extremely professional. They were also extremely kind and friendly. They recommended where we could go for food and drinks while they worked. Welcomed us to relax in their waiting area, and made us feel extremely comfortable with leaving the car in their hands. I'm considering taking my car from LA to chula vista for whatever needs it may have. That's how good my experience was here. Thank you for everything and hope to stop by this shop again. read more

So damn disappointing. I went here to get my radiatior replaced at the worst, and they wanted to charge me 1500 dollars to replace it in an 01 beetle. What a joke. Even when every place within a ten mile radius was willing to do it for 550 out the door. When I offered to pay them a hindered over everyone else's asking he refused, yet still kept my card info to charge me 60 bucks for the lame pressure test they did on my car. So no don't go here. Call or message me and I will get you a damn place that doesn't try to rip you off. So disappointed. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Long story short, brought 2 of my cars to get the brakes done. Prior to the service our cars were running perfectly fine and we only did the brakes as a precaution. Within an hour of driving them off the lot, both cars began to malfunction. One of my cars started to overheat badly, and the other cars brakes completely stopped working. Luckily we were close to home and didn't have to drive on the freeway otherwise we would've been S.O.L. After a long process trying to figure out what went wrong with our cars, we later found out some shady stuff went down when we brought our cars. Basically they messed with our cars so we could bring them back to pay more money to have them fix it. DISHONEST SHOP, DISHONEST MECHANICS! read more

This is my first Yelp post ever and I'm glad it is because the customer service here was unreal. I was recommended by a close friend. I went to get a tune up for a car I just bought because I'm ballin' and I need more than just one whip just to stay fly. Anyway, the person who took care of me there was Andre. He was the coolest guy ever! Once my car was ready I went to go pick it up. Andre showed me all the parts he had replaced and explained to me why he had to replace them. Long story short, this shop was too busy to attempt to assist me with my a/c repair. I called in advance, scheduled an appointment 4-days later, arrived early on the date of my appointment and was oddly told to try running a can of dye through my a/c and bring it back when it stops blowing cold so they could try and see what was wrong with it. First off that's why I took it to them so I could figure out the issue, Secondly when I called in to schedule an appointment 4-days previously they could have told me that... It was my 3rd day at my new job and of course my car HAD to break down. I knew it was my clutch because I had gone through this once before over 2 years ago. (yes im a girl who drives stick shift but I hate it!) Being a long time AAA member I called them for a tow, and they referred me to a shop close to my work, I trusted and said OK. BADDD IDEA!!! anyways the tow truck recommended AZ Auto Shop as a second reference just in case. WELL IM SO GLAD HE DID! the other shop tried to jack up the price like if I didn't know anything about a clutch replacement along with a Master Cylinder clutch. they wanted 1800.00 Out of me!!! when I said no, they were very rude to me and wanted me to pay over 100.00 for checking my car HAHAHAA!! bad news for them, they NEVER Disclosed the price with me so thankfuly they recognized their error and I brought my car here to AZ where I was treated with RESPECT was given a FAIR PRICE and my car was ready the VERY Next day!!! im soo soo happy with this shop I would def recommend it and they have a loyal customer from me from now on! Very DISAPPOINTED to find a DISHONEST mechanic. Took in car to this mechanic when my daughters car wouldn't start. They checked it out and found out it was the cam position sensor and a thermostat problem. Said it was fixed and paid $200. My daughters car broke down again. Had the car checked by my daughters boyfriend from AZ, and found out that the cam position sensor was never replaced; it was still the factory sensor that the car came with. The sensor was replaced within 2min with a part from autozone for $30. Car now runs fine. I went back to Andres, he still insisted he replaced the sensor and just wanted to pay me for the part that we replaced ourselves. For the tow truck we paid after the service from Andres and for the job he didn't do, I was expecting for a full refund. I DONT and will NOT recommend this place. read more
