We ate here while traveling to SC. The food is excellent. We ate breakfast. This place is in a place where there is a lot of construction. This place is nice inside. Bathrooms are very clean. The biscuits and gravy were creamy. The pancakes were very airy and husband really liked them. Staff is very friendly and attentive. When leaving the cleaning lady said bye and happy Easter. By chance we discovered this place, and it was a happy discovery. I had a fillet medallion medium-rare and it was cooked to perfection. It came with a decadently delicious mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus, tasty but overcooked. A fried calamari appetizer was also tasty and also overcooked. A very good baked salmon came with an excellent risotto. The service was friendly which made for a very pleasant evening. When I return to Florence SC, I will definitely revisit this restaurant. read more

Wow this was a terrific choice. I rolled into town at 7 checked in the hotel and hit up yelp for somewhere to eat. Found this place and headed out. Got there and took a seat at the bar per usual and the bartender came right over and took my drink order and also gave me a menu. I ordered the medallions and shrimp with a veggie kabob and asparagus. The food came out in an acceptable amount of time and was absolutely stellar. The steak was cooked and flavored perfectly and the shrimp and veggies was as well. The server was very attentive without being pushy. I knew it was going to be high priced from looking at the yelp and it did not disappoint in the high price category but as often is the case you pay for deliciousness and great service, it was as high as a giraffes ass but worth it. 5 outta 5 will go out of my way to stay in town and eat here next time. read more

Although half of my party received their food about 30 minutes late, they gave us a discount and the food was impeccable. Dropped in to Victors for some dinner while traveling through town for work. Ordered the 16 oz ribeye with Gorgonzola and seasonal veggies. Steak was a bit underdone - I ordered medium rare and it was closer to seared in the middle - but didn't bother me much because the steak was so big I just at the outside and left maybe 4 oz middle piece. Veggies were heavily seasoned, but I like strong flavors so no issue for me. Business casual atmosphere - seemed to be a hangout for lawyers as everyone I met at. the bar was such. Good service, but bar was too busy for an casual conversation with the tender - which I enjoy as a solo traveler. $36 for ribeye and $4 for added Gorgonzola. Not bad for the size of the cut. In a small town, it was nice to find a non-chain place with some quality food. I'd go again! read more

Had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch courtesy of a gift card our daughter sent us at Christmas. The selection of dishes was extensive, and the quality was very good. Excellent Bloody Mary's. Our server Jalen, was exceptional. The manger, however, is a snide little man, but we didn't allow that to spoil our experience. This is a classy five star dining with authentic American cuisine. We have been here for a Sunday brunch. We ordered chicken ceased salad, chicken deluxe sandwich and a customized omelet. The food was awesome we been taken care by Jaylynn. He is been such a nice person. The ambience is really good. I was kinda laughing at myself because I went to this restaurant wearing casual clothes well everyone else who came in were dressed sharp. If you wanna have a high class family gatherings this is the place. Ohh and yeah forgot to mention the price despite being so rich in food and ambience the prices are affordable. Very nice atmosphere with comfortable white leather seating. Excellent menu choices and their food quality and portions are very good! I had the oyster appetizer and the Sautéed Grouoer entre. It came with asparagus and a delightful risotto!! It's actually better now than it used to be! Glad to see a restaurant maturing in selection and consistency like that! They took us with short notes CW as we walked out of The Town Hall restaurant across the street who has a new executive chef that we wish all the best of luck to but had ran out of the ground we special by 7;30! Amazing food but not so amazing service. A few friends and I had gotten many recommendations on trying Victors. We had never heard of it before considering we are from out of town but we thought we would give it a try. We got seated and it was fine. The server, Nate came up to us very kind at first and came back a few moments later to take our order. We ordered different salads and a plate of mussels for appetizer and multiple steak and fish dishes for our entrees. We didn't really think much of the crappy service considering we were having a good time talking with our friends. We wait 30 minutes for our appetizers, which were only 4 salads and a plate of mussels. I got the mussels and they were cold. Because this was my first time eating all day i didn't really mind and just kept going on with life. We are sitting there done with our appetizers and realize the table that walked in 45 minutes after us had just gotten their food. We were very confused and upset. Our friend told the server and he did not care at all. He would respond with "Okay, Yes, No". He didn't even show sympathy. 30 minutes later our food came out stone cold and of course we sent it back. Nate did not seem to care about his costumers happiness. We then met Shelby, the kitchen manager who was nicer than the actual house manager Erin. Shelby remade our food for us and it was really well done. She was the one who actually made us want to stay. After meeting with Shelby, Erin the manager came up and said "Sorry about what happened. We are giving you free desserts." Im sorry but that doesn't seem like something you should say to pissed off costumers but maybe that is just me. The food was wonderful when hot but the service was just not it. We waited another 30 minutes for desserts. Nate was honestly a horrible server and definitely did not meet the standards of this restaurant. Towards the end he wasn't even trying. He would slam our checks on the table and was just overall rude. I am extremely disappointed in this type of service considering I work in the food industry. When we pulled up past the courthouse and prom dress store, we were not at all sure what we were getting ourselves into, but then we saw how fancy the place was and were reassured. It is adjoining a hotel, but not at all what you would expect when that phrase comes to mind. Confused booths, white table cloths, generous drinks, and an air of calm await you. Excellent meal, and same for the service. I have been here for company function dinners and now I had the pleasure of bringing my wife so she could see what I always said about the meal here. With the number of people I have eaten here with I have not heard anybody say anything but how great their meal was. I can also say my wife was impressed with her meal and our outstanding waiter. Ate there as a patty of four business dinner on a recent Friday Night. The hostess was welcoming and efficient. Allowed us to sit before the whole party was there and made sure the table was to our liking. The waitress was attentive and charming. Great wine list. And the food, incredible. I along with another dinner mate had the Salmon with pasta done to the perfect spiciness with tomato and zucchini. Superb steaks await too. And interesting appetizers like malt fried oysters. So nice to have a great restaurant in a great Hotel The Hotel Florence. I will be back the next time I am fortunate enough to be in Florence. read more

I have been going to Victor's since they were on Irby Street. The quality and quantity has definitely gone down. I had lunch when they could only serve outside, due to COVID and ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and fried oysters. It took forever to get these dishes and the bacon on the scallops was burnt and the oysters were so small. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with the meal, which was around $25.00. After leaving, I stopped to get a burger. Never again!! read more

The 4 star is for the food and to promote Florence as a community on the rise. We have eaten at Victor's back when it was on Erby street. I wasn't happy with our seating by the kitchen out door. The restaurant was not busy yet. The bar area was upscale and I'm sure it still is. We live in Myrtle Beach now... we have liked the food there at Victors. My Bad... should have insisted on a better table location. Yes... When in FloTown we would return. Lots of good memories in Florence. Travelers who want upscale dining need to consider Victors... $$$ U get what U pay fore. Well worth a stop.... Review is from 2 years ago. I'm told that it is still very upscale. A Hotel on a gentrified site is also a plus.... Florence is undergoing a significant Renaissance from an old Rail Road Tobacco town. It's easily off the interstate 20/ 95. ... Victors is the best and most interesting dining experience my husband and I have had on 95 on our way to Florida! The bar is fabulous and they have live piano music - a wonderful lady who will perform your requests! The bartender we had last night makes a perfect Cosmopolitan (which I have discovered is not always an easy thing o find on 95). It deserves more than 5 stars! Excellent food and service! We stopped by on vacation on the way to Savannah and are so glad we did! Such a great find so on the way home stopped again and loved the outdoor seating area. The oysters, shrimp and grits/rice medley and flatbread pizza was outstanding and we even got to speak with the chef twice and she asked for feedback. Honestly, you haven't experienced all that Florence dining has to offer unless you've been to Victor's. It's a Florence favorite and has been recognized as "Best of the Pee Dee" for formal dining by Florence Morning News readers for many years. We will go again to continue to sample Chef Tommy Crayton's menu of local, seasonal ingredients. We celebrated my birthday here last night. The food was pretty good but when we got the bill there was a $25.00 cake fee because my husband brought my birthday cake in from a bakery. I was shocked. How ridiculous is this? I won't be going back just for this reason and since my husband is a business man here in Florence he won't be taking clients here any more. read more
