We recently lost one of our two factory Jeep keys. To replace through Jeep, it would have been $175 for just the remote head key. I purchased a remote head key and a plain transponder key for $82 online, had them cut at Ace for $7, (though Victory would have done that in the cost I paid them - but they were already cut), and Victory came to my home and programmed BOTH keys. Not only was his price fair, but he programmed the keys I'd purchased and had cut...not something Jeep would do. Got here so quick, was communicative, and just a pleasure to work with. I dropped my only key in the trunk putting in my golf clubs. Before, I knew I had done this the trunk locked then all of the doors locked and armed the alarm. Dang it! AAA came out but, the best they could do was unlock the car and cause the alarm to sound. I had to unhook my battery to stop the alarm. Now I was really stuck. After reading forums and watching videos of people doing crazy things like; sawing through the back seat or drilling a doorknob size hole in the taillight to pull the trunk release. (there is not a release in my car.) I called the dealership, they quoted me a ridiculous price and I would have to come in first and prove my ownership. What? Then, I remembered a cool guy that gave me his card. Rob at Victor Auto Lock. I called him, he answered in minutes, came out when he said, called when he arrived. He listened to my story, then told we what he could do. Within in a few minutes he figured out my key code. Then he did his magic. Within less than an hour he made a new key, not just to get in but, he also programed a chip to start it. He matched my current chip, now I have two sets of keys. The service was excellent! I had 1 key left for my Honda Pilot and the keyfob was cracked. Concerned the key would fall out of the jacket I bought two uncut pilot keys online. Just needed them cut and programmed. My experience with locksmiths have never been good. After being in a pinch, and needing a remote programmed, I dreaded calling one. The dealer wants $75, pop a lock wants $120 and so on and so forth.....just to program a remote that takes 10 seconds flat! Got in contact with this company and the tech was awesome! Wow, such great service. Had a panicked filled morning looking for my keys (they were never found). Victory was willing to come to me even though it was out of the usual range of territory for service. Blair was able to make a new key and program it to my car in less that 20 minutes. A previous "locksmith" spent 3 hours and was unable to program the key to my car. I would highly recommend Blair. He is fast and you cant beat his prices. read more
