We discovered that some bees had started a hive in our wooden fence. We found out about Victor through my wife's co-worker. He came during the rainy part of the week, which apparently causes them to hide. Nonetheless, he found the bees hiding behind the planks of our fence with his cool, Predator vision-y infrared camera! We discovered that bees were attempting to build a hive under our deck. We contacted Victory Bee Removal and Victor was able to come by within the hour. He assessed the situation, determined that a hive had not yet been established, and recommended using smoke to drive away the bees; this avoided the need to cut in to the deck, and was a cost effective solution. Victor returned the following day to confirm the bees were gone. We then contracted with Victor to install screening on our chimney and 15 second story attic vents (the original screening had deteriorated over the years), to prevent bees from entering. He was able to quickly install the various screens, and even took care of two first story vents we had overlooked - at no additional charge. Unfortunately, a few days later we found that a bird had been trapped in the attic when the screens were installed. Victor was able to come out immediately and remove one of the vent screens, which allowed the bird to escape the attic; he then came back a few days later (after allowing time to ensure any birds were out of the attic) and reinstalled the screen.
