I had mentioned to Darla to skip service because of this, and will resume when ready. But just noticed that I have been continued to be auto charged ($87 each time) good thing I looked as I was getting ripped off. Very surprised of this as I'd mentioned this for multiple months to get ahead of this situation and give HomeShield as much communication as possible. It is crappy feeling to have my money taken like that I called in and spoke with Luca and he was helpful in telling me that I'll get credited back for 2 months, and will have CC on hold so not charged. That made me feel good. He said I'd get confirmation email in a few minutes but it's been nearly 2 hours and no email and my CC still showing no credit/refund. They are happy to auto charge me, but cannot accommodate their current customers with the ability to pause service, causing additional headache for me I'll see if there is anything worth updating if/when it happens. otherwise will go straight to credit card company and dispute charges...I don't have time to keep going back to HomeShield to check if they did their work right Still considering if I will continue with HomeShield once I need service again; but I figure I'll have better choice when that time comes UPDATE: after reading other review of not being able to cancel service, I called right back and spoke with Patricia. I asked to cancel service, but she could not do so and had to transfer me to other department and ask me to hold for "2 minutes". Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.

I've been composing this review in my head for over two years, so it's time for me to finally write it and post it. I had a Tuff Shed built in my backyard on the dirt. Because the ground was uneven, the builders leveled it out by placing one end on cinder blocks in each corner. Doing that left a gap underneath the shed which gave bees ample room to develop their hive. There is a fence at the back of the shed and on the side and another shed on the third side. That situation made it difficult to access the bees. I needed the bees to be removed because the neighbors were complaining about the bees, which means that I became financially liable if those bees were stinging them. I called Roman and with his heat sensor he confirmed that a lot of bees were under the shed. The plan was that he would go through the floor to access the hive and remove it. However, when he came, he decided that the fence in the back would make it impossible to tell if he got the queen bee because the fence would affect the swarming behavior of the bees. He recommended at that point that the bees be killed because they will return if he doesn't get the queen bee. I had called him because I wanted the bees to be removed alive, but he was the "expert," so I chose to follow his advice. He went to Home Depot to get the gas and some gap sealer to close off the back side of the shed so that the bees couldn't access the hive after the queen was killed. I trusted him. I have since learned that he could have known that he got the queen with the hive by observing the bees' behavior after he put the hive in the box; if the bees swarmed around the box, he had gotten the queen with the hive. After it was done, he told me that I could get a discount if I did a review on his business. I had no reason at that time to know that the service I received was not good, so I agreed to post a review. For obvious reasons, he asked me not to mention that he killed the bees. I'm guessing that other reviewers here were offered the same discount and were also asked not to mention his killing the bees if that had happened. Well, a few months later, the bees returned in great numbers. I contacted Roman, and he expressed surprise because he had killed the queen and had done a good job of sealing off the gap. Things dropped at that point. About 6 months later in March 2024, the neighbors were complaining again, so I pursued the matter with Roman. He did not return my messages until I reminded him that I had done a review on him and that I had a warranty. He finally responded. He came again, and this time he cut a large rectangle in the bottom of the back of the shed to remove the hive. He told me that he had found a second honeycomb in there that weighed about 70 lbs. I don't know how he missed that. He removed both hives and then reattached the removed section of the floor of the shed. He then told me that he will not honor the warranty on his work because the bees will be back. I asked him why he thought that, and he said, "I don't know...maybe pheromones." I suggested that he put under the shed the soil I had bought for that purpose to remove the gap under the shed. He said that that wouldn't work. I wish that I had pursued that because I don't understand why removing the open space wouldn't work. I also wish that I had pursued his honoring his warranty. The warranty of his work is the sole reason I chose him. So, at that point, I'm out about $600, and I still have the bees. I learned soon after that that pheromones are a problem only if he didn't get all of the honeycombs from underneath the shed. He had to have known that he didn't get all of them or he would not have known that the bees would be back. I bought a beekeeper's outfit so that I could remove the fence at the back of the shed to assess the situation. After I removed the fence, I could clearly see the problem. Roman did not even come close to sealing the gap under the shed. I saw gap filler on only about 3 ft. of a 10 ft. side. Since the hole he drilled in the bottom of the shed was only about 5 in. in diameter and was on the right side of the shed, there is no way that he could have reached the gap on the other side of the shed with a can of gap filler. How could Roman not know that? He told me 6 months before when I mentioned the return of the bees that he did a good job of sealing off the shed. If Roman had gone into the floor the first time he was there, he would have seen and removed both hives from underneath the shed. If he had done a thorough job of making sure that he got all of the honeycombs under the shed or used the dirt I had to completely fill in the gap underneath the shed, the problem would have been solved. Bees would not have been killed, and I would be writing a positive review instead of this. I don't find Roman to be competent since he didn't know about bee behavior or honorable since he did not honor his warranty or refund what I paid him. read more

This company is one of the best bee removal services I have ever called. I was mainly looking for one that also performs repair on the structures, and I saw that QueenB also does the repairs needed. We had a bee problem apparently for 2 weeks, but when the beekeeper removed the hive, he said it was there for a little over a month. I honestly had no idea there was so many of them in such little time. Before his service, he was very professional on finding where the hive may possibly be at. He gave a run down on the possible methods to remove the hive, and recommended us to go with the cheapest one as it will be cost-effective and will deal minimal damage to the house. Sure enough, he was spot on and found the hive immediately after removing the drywall in the bedroom. After his service, he gave us a warranty in case the bees do linger around the area after a few days, though he said that it is uncommon for them to do that. I do want to say that there was about 4-5 dead bees we have found in the room after the service, but they were disposed safely and we ensure there weren't anymore after doing a thorough cleaning of the bedroom. I'm still very impressed at the beekeepers work. I will be definitely calling him again should I run into bee troubles again. read more

Amazing service, was the first one I called after googling bee removal services near me. I had never called or dealt with pest control services and was nervous but it all went better than expected. Roman asked simple questions such as "What seems to be the problem?" and "How long has the hive/problem been like that?" the estimate was very good! and was able to squeeze us in our dire need after I told my story that we only had 1 day left to remove the bee hive or we'll be evicted. He charged us a tiny bit extra for the urgency but it was barely anything, speaks spanish so that helped alot too from me to translate for my father who was the one who was stubborn on getting rid of the hive himself. Really informative and even gave us some of the honeycomb to consume, very friendly and thoughtful. After removing surface bees, he discovered a hole in the fascia board that the bees were entering the building through. Many other bee removal services I called never even bothered to respond. If they are super busy, just tell the customer it might be weeks to come out but not even a callback. The Bee Guys showed up on time and removed the bees for relocation quickly too. I will use them again if needed and highly recommend their services.

We're also in quarantine, with a little baby in our home so they were able to accommodate a no contact appointment which meant a lot to us! All bees will be relocated to a bee farm, which was also really important to us. Gotta save the bees right?
