The restaurant was difficult to find. We passed by it and had to make a round around the block to find it again. Location was not the best and had very limited parking spaces sharing them with gas station. The service was alright. The atmosphere was mediocre at best. No salt or pepper or any other condiments on the table. They were brought to us. Prices were spot on and not too pricey for LA area. Food was delicious and we had generous portions. I absolutely love this little hole in the wall! Right off the bat, I will say, the only downside that I have with this place is location because the parking lot is a bit difficult because it's tiny. Phew! That's out of the way, now for what you want to know: THIS PLACE IS A MUST! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it while looking to satisfy my craving for a breakfast burrito! They have plenty of vegan options (like an entire section of their menu is purely vegan) and can make a vegan breakfast burrito as well, using tofu. I haven't tried that BUT the breakfast burrito is super delicious. All the ingredients taste great and the chipotle sauce on the side with it is the cherry on top that brings the flavors together. OH! And I added the tempeh bacon for some added protein and it really adds to the burrito. The restaurant itself is cute, small, but always very clean. We've been here twice in a short span, especially because Geo, and the rest of the staff are just so incredibly kind that you want to support them. I also had the Earl Grey latte with non-fat milk and it was just perfection! Lightly sweetened and just what I needed in the morning to enjoy my day! Been really disappointed the last few times at Victory Cafe. The convenience of ordering ahead has been repeatedly ruined by orders not being ready at the pick up time. This place was such a convenient neighborhood spot but their iced lattes are too water to come back for. I was really excited when this place first opened but it seems to have had trouble keeping up with demand. This morning I waited for my food in a room full of tables all occupied by other customers wondering where there good was. No one was actually eating at the tables, everyone just looking over at the counter wondering what's taking so long. I haven't had any breakfast like this. First off the young guy constantly worked with a smile on his face and he is so pleasant and was cognizant that we were looking for the vegan menu. Even the other worker, a small young girl with a mask was extremely nice. The homemade sausage and tempeh(?) was absolutely delicious. I hate breakfast as a general rule but this was absolutely delicious. The meals came with an edible flower and a spring mix salad. The bread on my sandwich was delicious and crispy. The beans were good. The pico de gallo was seasoned and special. You could see the seasonings like fennel in the meat. This isn't a place that just uses impossible meat to satisfy the vegans, it's legit. They also seem to use my favorite mint matcha which is on the pricier side. They have hemp milk which is a rare choice. The parking lot isn't bad and it's clean. The tables were wood but were not sticky, I was so impressed. Real good plants throughout the restaurant. Please come here because I will make an extra 20 minute trek in the morning for work just to get something. read more

A bit overpriced and service is mediocre. I had a breakfast burrito that was actually pretty good. They charged me extra to put honey in my tea. No honey dispenser, or individual packets. I had to pay extra to have the server squeeze honey into my tea, at her discretion. Ridiculous! I won't be back as there are better options available. read more

To be honest, I drove past it at first as it's tucked away in a little strip mall across from the Van Nuys DMV. I ordered the Green Vegan burrito, and while I am not Vegan, I do love my vegetables. BOY was it green! Loaded with delicious kale, spinach and avocado, beans, rice.....YUM. Definitely hit the spot! And the chipotle mayo was BOMB. UPDATE: I tried the tempeh bacon instead of the vegan sausage and it was great! Better than the sausage I think! Also DO NOT order online because their timing is super off. Today it said the order would take one hour and I called to ask for them to make the latte when I get there (because there's nothing I hate more than a lukewarm coffee) and they said it would be ready in 15! So just call to order instead of ordering online. Also the online order area doesn't have any place to enter exceptions or notes. Coffee was made before I got there and was warm but the burrito was just as good as last time! So glad I discovered this cafe! I got an oat milk latte and a breakfast burrito. I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for a good vegetarian breakfast burrito and this is a GREAT one (see pic). It had eggs, beans, guacamole, salsa, and i think cheese. From breakfast to lunch to early dinner this early morning to 5pm spot serves waffles you'll dream about, sandwiches I drool about, and tasty smooties and acai all can go crazy about. The vegan options are amazing and there are quite a lot! They have amazing gluten free options, including breakfast items... Great hearty salads, styles of toast, sides and still more options... The menu has so much to choose from... You might want to order things to share. I haven't been able to dine here properly just yet, but the inside is very clean and the service is amazing. The quality of food they produce is flavorful and rich. Killer pastries (vegan options of course)! This place is great for breakfast, brunch and lunch any day of the week...
